![]() Here are a few things I've found that help. First of all rinse them good, but it truly doesn't have to be extensive. Just rinse them good, and that's good enough. Snip them into pieces. I just couldn't hack those long, long strings that couldn't be chewed and threatened to get hung up on something in my throat and choke me! I actually have a sharp little pair of scissors that I cut the noodles with, into about 1-2 inch lengths. (I'm still not sure I've ever actually chewed up a shiratake noodle. I think mostly I just chew on them for awhile and then swallow. LOL) Fry them up in a skillet! That does a pretty amazing job of diminishing the rubber band texture of them. They even shrink somewhat in size after awhile as you're frying them, and getting some of that water out of them seems to make them more palatable. Keep experimenting. Once you've learned how to prepare these things, they actually are a pretty good thing to have on DDs. Anything that can fill your belly for almost 0 calories is a pretty good thing to know about when you are trying to keep calories low.

Well, I am up again, but, no surprise. Finally all this birthday celebrating for my husband is OVER, lol. I guess this is LIFE. I may do two DD's in a row, today and tomorrow, we'll see. I would love to be back to my 147 before all this started. I am 149.6. I feel like I've UNdone a few weeks of my JUDDD progress in terms of weightloss. Although, my main objective has to be maintain, and this number is pretty much maintaining for me.

Good Morning, Everyone. More clearing of the gardens and raking of the leaves today. I'm going to up on the roof clearing out the gutters and down beneath the bushes getting out leaves and weeds. It's an UD, and I may be needing that extra fuel today.
I was just going to mention that JUDDD is a plan that makes it a little bit hard to tell if you're losing much or maybe just bouncing around in a tight little maintenance range. A lot of activity going on with emptying out the digestive tract quite a bit and then filling it the next day, some of us adding in carbs sometimes, sometimes eating big fiber doses (muffins) every other day on DDs.... I guess it's small wonder that the scale bounces around. But at the end of this week, we can usually weigh less than we did a week ago, and at the end of this month, it's clearly evident that we're down a few pounds. Or sometimes a LOT of pounds. On only half a month worth of dieting, and the other half.. the UDs.. enjoying life and learning how to eat within a calorie limiting ceiling, which is yet another thing that JUDDD requires, and that some of us need to learn. Hope you all have a wonderful day. |

Morning ALL our JUDDD BUDDDs!!
UD for me after a great DD and still maintaining at 138.4! It's a good thing! ![]() Crazy day for me yesterday and now today with the giant hornet's nest that had to come down. Now those darn buggers are making another freakin nest!! I went to cut this tree down on Sunday and something told me to look up and there was this MASSIVE hive, 3 feet big! Thank my angels for that little "whisper" or this beeb would have been in BIG trouble!! I have hives (no pun here ) on my stomach from nerves and can't wait until the Bee guy comes back to spray the tree(s) were the hive was and where they are making another hive! What a mess, I'm so tired from listening to the buzzing all night in the tree right outside my bedroom window and not sleeping, I scared to death to go outside, and can't wait for the first frost to get these nasty bugs!! I HATE BEES and am allergic to them (not killer allergic but I blow up like a blow fish if I get stung)! ![]() Anyway, I all the wonderful losses and whooshies and wishing you all a great UD or DD! ![]() ![]()

Cathy,
It seems to be a muscle pull in the groin area . I am not worried about the gain, per say, will know it come off. I think it was truly one of dh's best birthdays so I am glad I was not constantly worrying/talking about the food, weight gain, etc. I was very conscious not to do that. Btw, the lettuce wraps at CF were really good. I was pleasantly surprised. |

Hi All, I am thrilled to report that after my first week of JUDDD(8 days actually)-I am down 10.6 pounds! I am shocked and surprised that food seems to have less of a hold on me than when I started. Go figure! I am so glad I decided to give this a try.
My package from netrition will be here today and I am going to make some gluc pudding for tomorrow, my DD. YAY! I am thinking of using 1 lemon crystal light pack-the one for the bottle of water, 2 cups water, 1 tsp gluc and maybe a couple of tablespoons of FF 1/2 and 1/2. Does that sound like the right proportions? Will it turn into pudding with that amount of gluc?

For me, after yesterday's UD, I am down .6 to 185.6...still up more than a pound since my wheat bran muffin experiment. But today was a pretty good DD (but I felt really hungry today...unusual), so I'm hoping for another drop on the scale in the morning. But right now, two weeks after my first DD, I have lost 8 pounds. More than I did in a whole month of induction in August.![]()

All of you JUDDDers are doing such a good job, but Kathleen, I am boggled with the amount of weight loss you've achieved this week! Amazing. Congratulations!
It's such a pleasure to read day after day after day of the continuing weight losses the people on JUDDD are experiencing. It's so nice to finally find a simple way of eating, which allows for anything you want, only requires you to be strict for half of your days, and rewards adherence with weight loss. ![]() |

Hi everyone. I jus wanted to pop in and say hi and that I'm still here and still doing juddd with my mixture of ckd. It has been a very stressful and hard couple of weeks. My SOs mom passed away. She was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer about 10 months ago and in the past month really started going downhill very fast. The last couple of weeks of her life were very tough. She finally passed away lasy Tuesday morning. The funeral was Friday. I was very close to her so its been tough on me but I can't imagine how its really been for my SO so I have been trying to be here for him asmuc as possible. Men deal with things so different than women do. Its been an emotional roller coaster but thingsare finally setling down a little. Keep us in your prayers and I will be posting as much as I can but I do read everyday and just love you guys. You are all doing so great and so supportive. Have a good evening everyone.

Cathy: there's another thread on the JUDDD page titled something like "gluc pudding - texture?" that has a couple of recipes. I've linked to my version of chocolate pudding there, too. Enjoy your DD!

had a good UD yesterday. wasn't as stuffed as after some UD's. weight is up 1.2 from yesterday. but i see a downward trend....my upticks on the scale are lower than previous upticks after UD's. plus feeling bloaty with mid-cycle and what not. so feel pretty good about where weight is headed anyway. not seeing huge drops, but slow and steady wins the race, right?

I am the same today(149.6) after my DD. I may make today a middle day, we'll see. If I do, I will then continue on track with the every other day UD/DD.
Onward and downward. Keep up the good work, all. It doesn't even feel like work does it? I LOVE JUDDD! ![]() |

Oh, I feel so excited. I am down a lb to 156.6. Yesterday was an UD but I was careful-no real sugar but an apple and sf caramel for after dinner treat. Monday was a DD and I hope to get through this weekend with lots of company and stuff going on. I just want to not overdo. I'm trying to think out my options and not just go with the flow.
