Way too much time on my hands!

Wow, Jo! Your post has made me seriously excited for you! You are doing so darned well for not having been at this any longer than you have.
And more importantly (to my way of thinking) is what this way of eating is doing for your body physically and your mental balance with your physical body. That's what I was so happy to find out about JUDDD when I started on it too! It somehow seemed to turn me back into a somewhat more *normal* person when it came to my thoughts about food and my meals and eating... it somehow helped me be able to just *relax* about food, to be able to enjoy it joyously, but not have to dwell on it compulsively, if that makes sense. Your foods sound yummy. I'm having a good DD myself, but apparently posted my foods in yesterday's thread. I'll have to copy and paste onto today's *What are you Eating* thread.

OK, today is a DD, and here are my meal choices for this day: This is going to be an easy one.
B - 2 mugs of coffee, each with 2 Tbsp of half & half For lunch I added gluc powder to thicken some home made rich chicken broth, added dried parsley flakes, poultry seasoning, both onion and garlic salts, and then dumped a single can of *mixed vegetables* into the thickened broth to make a quickie soup. The vegetables were mainly squares of potato and carrot. The rest of the *mixed* vegetables appears to be corn and peas with the occasional green bean. I guess those are the veggies that can most easily be canned in a logical mixture together, but I'm sure laughing about my choice. Looks like the majority of these veggies are the higher carb ones! LOL But this is my food for the day, and I have to admit, it's a yummy soup for lunch. Supper will just be more of this soup, and then I'll fix a sweet spicy cinnimon-y pumpkin shake for an evening snack. Calories are going to be kept to the DD 500 ceiling. |

I need to do the challenge with you Joedi!!! I didnt make my UD calories today either.
I lifted weights this morning. Still not feeling totally up to par after the strep but a little better. I had a protein shake right after lifting weights that i made last night 1 cup almond milk - 40 cals 1/2 scoop protein - 45 cals 1 egg - 70 cals 930 at work 1/2 cup fage - 60 cals 1/2 scoop protein - 45 cals 1 T flax 30 cals 1T sunflower seeds - 50 cals lunch was 1 cup broccoli - 20 cals 1 can tyson chicken - 120 cals 1 egg - 70 cals 1T evoo - 60 cals snacks 1 apple 80 cals 1 zucchini 50 cals 1/4 C mixed nuts 170 cals dinner chicken 250 cals 2 boiled eggs 140 cals watered down ranch with franks hot sauce 50 cals 1350 so far In 25% weight loss mode i should be eating 2300 cals on UD's and 600 on DD's...lol I cant even make it to 1500 cals!!! Maybe i just need to add more fat. Use 1T evoo on my lunch instead of 1/2T. More fat with dinner. I will have a snack later. Probably 1/4 cup of fage mixed with a container of sf jello and some sunflower seeds sprinkled on top. I guess i could actually add cheese back into my diet...lol

Sounds like a healthy UD shelly! Have you tried adding coconut oil or cream to your shake? Easy calories! Some cheese is a good idea too... Lovely on veggies. An ounce or two of nuts are high cal and good for you. Or how about looking at the lc recipes on vanessas healthylivinghowto site- blueberry muffins are gorgeous! And lindas low carb site has hundreds of recipes, all counted out.
I am going to try for my 1900 today.... Gulp! Managed to keep my DD cals to 500, so will give it a go to get the balance. Haven't weighed since I started..Tom was due Monday, so I thought, better wait, still not here yet and it's Friday.... So STILL not weighed! I really want to see if juddd is working for me! Have a great DD, don't forget to post your menu! Hugs Jo X |
