Way too much time on my hands!

![]() Maybe instead of having this be one of your UDs, you could just have it be a MD, and that will give you the leeway to declare tomorrow either an UD or a DD... depending on how the sore throat feels. That will still give you a good variance of calorie levels, and allow you to not eat much when the throat feels sore, but to be able to eat more and actually enjoy it once the initial pain is over with. All the while keeping the calories in a high-low cycle. Hope your meds kick in fast. ![]()

Wow!! you guys are doing so great!! Congratulations to all the Losers!!
Cat and Joli-great numbers and very encouraging to a newbie like me. So happy to see the weight coming off you guys!! Pat-are you at goal yet? I am curious how the miantenance version of JUDDD goes. I guess you just up your cals a bit on DD's so you don't continue to lose? Beeb-you're at goal now, maybe that question is better asked of you? Will you JUDDD for maintenance as well? Shelly-sorry about your strep throat. Take care of yourself, sleep and drink a lot of fluids. The sleep is the most important. Cat-I'd call your first JUDDD week a success, wouldn't you? WTG!! I'd be happy to lose a lb or 2 my first week. We'll see. and penguin-glad you had a good weekend. I'm jealous. Always wanted to go to Aruba. Have a great time!! EW-that's what I plan to do. Exercise on my UD's and before eating. I always do a protein rich snack afterwards, sometimes a shake, or bar. Cottage cheese works well too!! I aminsulin resistant too and any help is welcome!! DWhalen-glad you had a good time on your cruise. How fun to have a new year's cruise to work toward!! I like those types of goals!! I'm up a lb from the weekend away, but am supposed to do an UD today. I need to work out too. So far I plan to stick to more like maintenance cals, and will push the calorie envelope later on. I will be going to CO Sunday for a week. We'll have a kitchen in the hotel, so I hope/plan to keep things under control. I will be dining out a lot, so I'm not sure how the DD's will go. I'm gonna' try at least!! For the first 2 weeks I am hoping to maintain without extreme effort. After that I will be home and able to do more strict DD's and then hope the weight starts to come off for me. We'll see. Anyone want to share their losses? Like how long you've been doing JUDDD, how much you've lost, and how the losses look for you? I'm trying to have reasonable expectations. Thanks again for sharing your sucesses.

Julie... I am not through the first week yet.. Friday to Friday weighins for my "official" numbers. WE will see how it looks though. I am trying to push a little on the calories on UD for maximum benefit of revamping my metabolism as Pat so nicely put!! I would be happy to fit comfortably in all 4s... I have 6s, 4s, a couple 8s still .... when I gained back, all I could wear where the 8s again. Then slowly got back in the 6s and most of them are okay again, but I would like to be a solid **STABLE** 4! (of course this is vanity sizes, as thats I see anymore... so not sure what the "unvanity" size of that would be?? 6 ? 8?? anyone know??

do you trust a restaurants nutrition guide? Subway says their 6"club is 320 calories. I have to work tonight and already having chicken for dinner. I need something for my break. I like these sandwich's and it fits in with my calories for the day and will fill me up.
On a positive note. I started at my new gym today. Swam for 40 minutes. My arms are going to kill me tomorrow. |

![]() ![]() I just planned my day for tomorrow 1700 calories, I have no idea how I will eat it all lol. But then again, I know I ate twice that each day all weekend, BUT 1700 calories of "good" foods seems like a lot especially when in a dieting mind set. I only had coffee with cream today so not trully a fast, but less then 150 calories. Tomorrow is up! |

For those asking about the cruise, we took Royal Caribbean Monarch of the seas out of Port Canaveral. We went to Nassau Bahamas and Cococay Island. It was our favorite ship to date! First time on Royal and we loved it.

Good Morning All! DD today and I'm actually looking forward to it. I ate really well yesterday, went all out for my Mom's birthday, and really thought I would see a gain this morning, BUT the scale says a loss!
![]() I did walk quite a bit yesterday (and my foot is letting me know today that I DID walk quite a bit ) so maybe that exercise is making up for the broccoli/cheese soup, garlic cheese bread, bruschetta, AND Death by Chocolate piece cake I shared and probably ate most of! ![]() ![]() Sometimes my body just waits a day to zap me with a gain so I'll just enjoy that little loss and see what happens tomorrow. Now on to my DD and checking out something different to eat for dinner! Love having to be creative on DDs!!

So I was up 0.8 this morning after my UD yesterday and pushing it to the 2400 mark.... Not too bad for me to be only 0.8, but I liked it better after the first UD and I was the same, but we will see what the number is tomorrow after my DD. Its gloomy and overcast here today, but I like the temperature, so not complaining really... Hope everyone has a good day!! |

Morning girls!
Pat - I'm sorry for your loss! Hope the funeral is a celebration of life for your friend/family member.Cat-that's all part of it, but nice to not be 2+lbs up, right? Linda-all that food and a loss? Sign me up for some of that!! Hopefully all the metabolism damage we've done to ourselves over the years can really be reversed!! You give me hope!! joli-good job on the swimming! THat's one exercise I never took to. I can't seem to muster the stamina for the longer duration. I admire you!! Joedi!Dwhalen-what a cool photo history you must have. Care to post for inspiration? Surprisingly, after an UD coming off a weekend away, I'm the same weight I was yesterday. It's still higher than I like to be, but no gain on a full 2000cal day? I'll take it. I got a decent workout in here at home, and plan a DD today. I have some leftover P2 meals in the freezer that should work well for today. I have to say, this really isn't that bad. Of course, I've only had coffee so far I suspect I'll feel a bit differently tonight! ![]() I really need to grocery shop. My poor family is also eating what's in the freezer, and they're not as flexible .Have good day! |

Quick question-do you guys do higher fat on your UD's and then lower fat on your DD's? That's kinda how this will probably go for me so I can get the cals lower. I don't nec. like low fat, after 8 years on Atkins, and plan to keep my high days similar to my general LC life.
Just wanted to see if you tended to gravitate more toward a lower fat diet overall coming off your DD's. Wondering if there will be any down side to mixing that up. I'm shooting for just my calorie ranges and using ****** to keep me on track. Thanks! |

Julie, there are some who do LC on this, but most just eat alot of vege type of things on DDs.... I would think you would need low fat to keep the calories low and maximize quantity... Great job on staying the same after a nice 2000 day. I did that last one, but this one up.. I think part of it is I ate later... I had a class that ran late, and then exercise/bath and then my night snack, etc.. but either way, hopefully all will be well, and your right, at least it was not up 2+..... I also find its sooo much easier to get through the day of 500 as I know I can eat tomorrow.... It really makes a difference. I can tell myself no... you can have that tomorrow!! And I can!!!
And I am losing (well so far) so thats bonus!! I am starting weight training again finally tonight!! I am the cardio queen but hate weight training!! |

Good afternoon everyone. I'm home from work again today. Doc gave me off until tomorrow. He gave me penicillin and said to use lots of throat lozenges and take ibuprophen. I'm feeling better today but my throat still hurts some. I have been sucking on sf throat lozenges like crazy and they are not calorie free. I didn't worry too much about what I ate yesterday. Just tried to eat things that didn't hurt my throat too much. Ended up eating about 1200 cals. Today is a DD so I made some soup this morning. I made the dukan pancake this morning. You guys might want o try it. I did the dukan diet for about a week and didn't like it. But the pancake is good.
2T oat bran 3T egg whites 1T 0% fage 1T cocoa powder Fry in olive oil spray. You can make 1 pretty good size pancake or 2 small ones. Spread with low fat cream cheese or pour some sf syrup on top. Its really good. I'm glad to see everyone is doing so well. I love seeing some of you eating around 2000 cals on UDs. I want to do that but I'm scared to. I guess all that can happen is that I gain and then I will see I can't. I would love to be able to eat like that on UDs. I was up 1.8lbs this morning. Hopefully its just the meds and eating all of these dang throat lozenges. I actualy made it for a jog today. I went to the park down the street. They have a 2 mile track. I probably jogged about 1 mile of it...lol. I guess is not bad considering how sick I have been. I have felt guilty that I haven't worked out since Sunday so it did feel good. I should be back on track tomorrow. Have a good day ladies.

As for the calories... what are your "figures" for the UD/DD?? Mine are 2500 and 500. I exercise at least 6 days a week, so mine are higher for that reason, but yes, its scary to eat that much, afraid of going up... but like Pat said, if you do, just adjust the next week, if not losing... so I figured I would rather eat as high as I can to see what happens, so I am trying it out. I have lost so far this week, so we will see what happens on Friday morning, which is my "official" day... I am sure used to eating like 1200 too... but I want to eat more on my UD to "rev" my metabolism also as Pat said. I hope it works out and continues!! Give it a try to your "max" calories and see what happens if you have not tried it yet... might be good?? !!! ![]() |

Hi Cat, Ive been following your experiment as I too am interested in using HCG w/JUDDD. My question to you though is what your plans are after meeting your goal weight. Are you going to do a 3 week P3 to lock in your weight? Also, are you eating carbs on your UD? and/or DD? What are your thoughts on doing a full P3 after you are done w/the HCG?
Thank you so much for your input |

Julie - my down days are definitely MUCH lower fat than my up days. I tend not to add mayonnaise, butter, oil and the like on DDs. I'm more likely to season my veggies and not use butter on them, and to use no cal, no carb Walden Farms dressing on my salad. I also don't eat more than 1 egg yolk on a DD, whereas normally I wouldn't watch eggs at all. When your DDs are between 300-500 calories, there's not much room for added fat. I'm OK with it, because I get plenty of fat on my up days.

I wish I knew what my plans were after meeting goal!! I have been trying so long, I dont know what to follow once I get there! No I am not doing P3 at all, and I am eating carbs (plenty of them) with the JUDDD, but not as much obviously on my DDs as I dont have a ton of calories to work with. As I am not really following the HCG plan, just using it to curb hunger and see if helps with that "fat rearranging" like it does when you follow that plan, so I am not working towards a P3 to lock in. If I get along well with JUDDD, I will use it as a maintenance thing. I am still in the first week, so have to see, but so far, I am liking it alot, as I only have one DD in a row and I can eat the next day!!!! I like that. I can restrict for one day no problem, as long as I can enjoy the next... KWIM??? |

My DD tend to be low fat, but not on purpose. I eat lots of veggies and fruits on this day and don't add fat to my cooking at all, just some cooking spray or spray butter. I do eat meat on these days, like today I had 2 pieces of bacon and some chicken, but not a lot of meat at all and hardly any dairy, except FF half and half, sour cream, cream cheese, American cheese but then again, I don't use these things every DD, maybe 1 or 2 DDs during the week. Eating less cheese/dairy tends to keep my calories low so that is why I shy away from them on DDs but on UDs I use them quite often.
DDs for me were just made for veggies, lots and lots of them! ![]() |

That sounds so ideal to me! I cant hang w/strict P2 anymore. Heres the thing w/me. Ive already done 23 days of P2 so I can stop any time. Im just worried that if after I am off of the hcg and the 2 vlcd, and I start P3 while JUDDDing, it will wreck my stabilization. I know no one can really answer whether or not it will mess it up. So i am still thinking if I should do the 3-week P3, then go for the JUDDD protocol. I am looking to lose no more than a few pounds maybe 3-5. Then id like to maintain (thinking I will definitely use JUDDD for maintenance). I will probably have to just take the plunge if I do decide to....

I am still here. Have my good days and my bad. Today is a down day as I am restarting properly. I didn't stick to any sort of diet this last week and a bit due to some ongoing personal home crisis that I needed to deal with.
My son has been put on Zoloft so I am hoping beyond hope that he can pull himself together. He is optimistic that this will help him. Haven't read any posts this past week as I am dealing with a lot but will definitely go back and do a read when I can spend any more than a couple of seconds on the computer at a time.
