My fingers are crossed, Joedi. I'll look forward to your report. Are you hoping for a loss, or just to maintain?

Morning All! What a bunch of LOSERS we have in our Juddd Forum! WTG, everyone!!

Joedi, we are ALL waiting to hear what the scale said, so please come back soon!!

UD of me and I'm having a left over half a Rubin Sandwich for lunch. No breakfast, just not hungry. Going to make a pork chop dinner tonight with a creamy type sauce, fried cabbage, kimchee (only to be cabbaged out by tonight ) and maybe some left over garlic mashed, not sure.

I don't get it. Yesterday, DD, wanted to eat all day and night, long. Today, UD, Just not interested in food....LOL.

Fixing spaghetti for my Wednesday night church group. This week I will actually eat the same thing as everyone else (we will see if the extra carbs bother me). By the way, I could use some ideas on what to fix for a group of 20 that isn't terribly expensive.

Down a little in weight, but we will see where it is next Monday.

A nice veggie salad with ALL the veggies you can put in there if it's a DD for you, or a nice pasta dish (lasagna, penne, etc) with a bit of meat or veggies if it's an UD for you. I would just make a lot of what I can eat that day, especially if there is going to be other food choices from others people coming.

Thanks Beeb.

I do the main meal and they bring the dessert. In the last year I have done: beef roast, pork roast, tacos, chili, terriyaki chicken, bbq, flat bread pizza, hamburgers, baked ham, waffles and scrambled eggs, baked chicken, beans and corn bread, cabbage soup, I am sure there are others I am forgetting. I have not done many pasta dishes though.....a chili mac might be nice,,,,I'll go browse some pasta recipies too. Crockpot meals are the easiest for me... hmmmmm may need to google them.

Hi again. I'm sorry for being so sporadic. I've been reading every day and you all are so awesome and inspirational and committed and and and

I on the other hand have been all over the place with where I want to go and what I want to do and can't seem to pick something and stick to it. I'm sold on Judd and will get to that in a minute, but I haven't been doing Judd by the book for the last few weeks so I feel uncomfortable talking about it here in the Judd thread. I've been journaling for a year on another low carb forum but they are so carb crazy that I dont feel comfortable telling them what I am doing. Yet I feel the need for reinforcement and positive motivation.

My problem was never losing weight on low carb, it melts off when I follow the plan. I just can't maintain low carb for very long before I go bat sh## crazy.

Cont' So I've been flirting with some fasting instead of down days. Of course I went on a cruise and was naughty, but fasted one day after returning, then did up, down, down and it was gone by Friday. Then I spent the weekend working a friends restaurant while he was out of town and had 3 up, up and and away day. Was up 5 lbs on Monday morning.

I had been reading a lot about fasting, fruit, juice etc so i decided to do a 3 day apple fast this week. Monday- Apples, Tuesday- down 3 lbs - Apples, Wednesday down the other two lbs and actually a new low by .4 ounces! Today is 3rd day on apples then tomorrow I gradually add veggies and eat normal on Friday. Friday Sat and Sunday will be up, med, up days. I'm hoping for no away days.

My plan is to then start judding properly on Monday with a new low weight. Alternating up downs with an occassional Monday fast instead of down day if I went crazy on weekend.

What I have learned and why I believe Juddd is it for life- I can eat whatever I want, have a crazy up up away weekend, and by getting right back on track, I can lose it right away. I CAN DO THIS FOR LIFE! I can eat like this for life. I can be strict to lose the weight, when I know that there is a woe at the end that I can live with.

So here I am, still trying to fit in, but afraid to talk about my variations from the accepted norm because my experience has been that gets you yelled at lol.

Is it any wonder we are a fat nation!

Well, ended up in the emergency room Tuesday afternoon and they decided to keep me over night for observation. Filled out my menu and this is what I got:
B- asked for : eggs, ham slice, orange, tea, sweetner. Ended up with: Wheat toast, regular jam, oatmeal , banana, coffee.

L- asked for: scoop of chicken salad, full fat mayo, lettuce, tomato, minestrone soup, diet jello. Ended up with: Baked potato, whole wheat dinner roll, peas, turkey sandwich on white, non-fat mayo, cake. I simply could not get over this lunch. Care for some bread with your bread to go with your potato and peas?Good lord, is it any wonder we are a nation a fatties? I'm glad to be home, even on my worst day of cheating I'd never eat crap like that!

Got to read the whole Dukan Diet book, pretty interesting. What's great about JUDDD is you can adapt it to almost any style of eating . Also started the book Wicked, the one the musical (which I know nothing about) was based on. Pretty interesting so far. Going to sit tight this weekend, make sure I'm okay then Monday it should be business as usual. Not getting on the scale until then. Feels great to be back.

Would have been interesting to see if you complained that there isn't enough bread if they would have brought extra

and yes I have a bloody cold on top of everything now.

I went for my physical today, am now at 202.4 (from 240)! My Dr. was thrilled with my weight loss, told me to keep doing what I'm doing and took me off one of my two BP meds!! This has been part of my goal from day one, to eventually eliminate the BP meds. Without reviewing my blood work (not in yet), she said she is certain my pre-diabetes is gone. I couldn't be happier about this!!

YAY, JUDDD!!!!

BONNYLASS!! What happened? Are you OK? OH man, please tell us you are feeling better?

DWhalen4....so glad you are working to find a plan that is going to fit for you. And like you, I knew JUDDD would be something I could do for life and I think THAT is why is is working so well for me! I always know tomorrow can be the day I want that apple pie or baked potato!!! And NEVER think anyone on this forum would yell at you or anyone else, no judgers here! We are all doing what works for us, and everyone is supportive of that concept! <<<<This is why I love this place!!

Joedi....I'm waiting for your weigh in! I BET you lost much more than you can imagine!

Momof3......feel better! You need a ME day and I sometimes think we are pushed into Me days by the Universe when we won't do it ourselves. With a cold you now HAVE to take care of yourself, thus creating a ME day!

Blonde.....WTG!!! I love seeing this stuff and you are an inspiration to all of us!!

I am just thrilled with all the wonderful weight loss that you folks are experiencing by doing JUDDD! Since it's a plan that you can follow at any carb level, and eating any foods that you want to make your diet from, whether you use special *diet* foods or just stick to the economical basic real foods, JUDDD works.

If you stick to your low days, do your alternate Up and Down days, and don't (often) exceed your high days, you will be transformed into a new slim you! I am reminded of the Ugly Duckling being transformed into the Beautiful Swan... except in my case, it is more like the Fat Walrus being transformed into a Sleek Seal. LOL (Well, maybe not quite *sleek* ... but not the walrus thing anymore. Ha!)

I know that people just don't want to hassle with measuring out their food amounts. I know it's a big bother to have to keep an accurate count of their calorie consumption. I know some food plans are a lot easier without having to track your intake, but there aren't a lot out there that give you the multiple rewards and results that JUDDD does!

Yay, JUDDD! Yay, Us!

Evening everyone and congrats to the losers and to the maintainers. I was down a pound this norning after a UD. Can't beat that. I was 150 mon morning and 147 this morning. I need to get back to 140. I have been 135 and I just look way to skiny. I lose all my muscle getting that small. I want to keep the wonderful muscle I'm getting so I'm gonna be doing lots of protein and more fat on my UDs. I'm gonna try to keep the carbs low during the week and on sat and then have a carb up day on sun. We will see how it goes. I had a great DD today at about 650 cals. Tomorrows UD is planned out at about 1700. We will see if I can make it...lol

Have a great evening everyone.

This seems to be a very accepting forum - I am totally mixing up two diets (hhcg and JUDDD) and no one is yelling at me. It sounds like you have a great plan going!

Had a 1.8 drop overnight - so have lost 4.4 of my 5.6 weekend gain after only two down days this week. Pretty pleased with that!

The best thing about JUDDD is it's flexible. For me it's a lifestyle change. I don't count calories at all on my UD's. True in the beginning, I would occasionally go overboard on an up day, but no guilt at all, do my DD after and on to the next UD. This is so forgiving, enjoyable and workable...I know it's too hard for some to follow but I am thankful everyday I found this WOE. Also~ I only weigh once a month, at most. I refuse to be ruled by the scale, it hadn't done me any favors up to this point in my life, so why let it rule me now? I can easily doubt myself, and the up one, down two, up three, down one, etc. makes me positively NUTS.

IMHO.

No yelling here, by the way. I think everyone finds there best way to JUDDD. The only comment I will make regarding fasting (for days), it may not slow your metabolism if you don't do it too often, but it's a possibility. One of the great perks to JUDDD is no loss of metabolism. It works well if you can relax into it, follow it to the best of your abilities and know that the weight will come off, in time...fast or slow depends on age, hormones, exercise, etc. When I started JUDDD, I told myself it didn't matter if I'm a slow loser, as long as the scale is going in the right direction. And it is...still.

Blond with a rose I like your attitude about it not being inportant how fast the scale moved as long as it's moving in the right direction. For a long time I would plan to go
on a strict diet and lose a lot realy fast but it never hapened. Well at least I can live
with this plan and am losing some and above all I don't feal like I am on a diet.

Hello All! Still holding strong to my 142.2/143 maintenance weight! DD today and feeling wonderful!!

I want to say CONGRATS to all those who have lost this week!

Went to Whole Foods today and actually had a lady following me up and down the aisles to see what I was putting in my cart! I would pick up an item, read the label and either put it back or in my cart. I noticed her about 3 aisles down reading the same labels on the same products I was. At first I just thought she was being weird, but when I realize what she was doing I took this as a compliment! She was actually looking to see WHAT I eat! I guess I must look healthy and happy!

Evening ladies. That is a wonderful compliment beeb. You have really rocked juddd!
I was down to 145 this morning! I'm losing all the water from the weekend. I think the DDs really help with that. Well, considerng I have gone from 150 to 145 since Monday morning I think so...lol
I'm loving it. I have upped my calories to about 1700 on UDs. It was so scary seeing that that number. I almost wanted to start tweeking an backing things out but I haven't. I have to work it right and see how I do. I really should be about 1800 to 1900 but I just can't eat more. Maybe add more fat or something. I don't know. I'm not gonna worry about that right now. It has been a huge thing going from 1200 to 1700 so ill just stick here for a bit. I am doing more protein andkeeping my carbs lower so I can see if I can mix ckd with juddd. I'm working out so hard and so much that I think ckd would wor well for me but the idea of eating 2000 cals a day scares me so mixing it with juddd makes me feel better about it. We will see. I'm gonna wait until next weekend to do my first refeed. That will be interesting. 3000 cals, 300 carbs and little to no fat! That will be after doing a huge depetion workout where I totally deplete my glycogen stores. I have been reading about this like crazy. There is a thread here about it and then lyle mcdonald has websites with info. Its very interesting. Well anyway. I have talked too much. Have a great evening ladies. I'm looking forward to my DD tomorrow.

I'll bet the increase in calories is something that you can take at your own pace and comfort level, and it'll be just fine.

I'm going to be reading with great interest as you do your depletion, then refeed. Hope you'll post all about it. You're our guinea pig! You're the brave soul who is going to find out how it works, so you gotta' report back to us!

DD today. It has been a lot less stressful today. I guess it will just take me a few weeks to get used to the DD's again. 450 so far, I will probably eat a little more right before bed so should wind up at about 600.

Congrats to all the losers.

Like some of you, I also just want to see a downward trend. Fast would be wonderful, but that is not a realistic expectation. Losing 15-20 by Christmas would be nice. I would like to lose this obcession with food, calories, carbs, etc. I would like to be normal.....My daughter laughs and says there is no "normal". She says everyone is messed up in some way.

I love the "normal" thing from your daughter! What a smart kid! It sounds like you have a great attitude and JUDDD DDs DO get easier and easier. When SoHappy told me this I thought she was but she was right. DDs are now, for the most days, pretty easy and sometimes I look forward to them, especially when I have a BIG UD.
And JUDDD is the only WOE I have ever been on that food is NOT the major part of my day anymore. I never thought that would happen, but happen it has! It seems this WOE has a way of doing this for people!
