JUDDD Success stories?
i would love to hear from those of you who have been having success with JUDDD. Please also state if you are doing LC or not along with JUDDD. It would be great to be able to find more inspiration on this WOE here without having to search all over the main lobby.
I am hoping to eventually put my success story here also. |

Well, not sure if this newbie should/can post a success story yet, but I will tell you I am down 5 pounds since starting this WOE on August 1st and I feel wonderful, stronger and less tired than when I was doing VLC (20g or less) a day. Now I eat lots of veggies and fruit, and I'm almost at my goal weight again
, which seemed to disappear earlier this year! ![]() I find the DDs a challenge and I'm loving it! The UDs are great, also because now I'm bringing a few of my fav things back into my WOE. I still keep my carbs low, about 45g/55g on my DDs, and about 75g/85g on my UP days but most of those carbs on both days are veggie/fruit carbs. Since I always did a South Beachish type WOE this is working well for me. What is amazing is on my UDs I'm hungry and on my DDs I'm not. Can't figure that one out, but it's working for me!! ![]() ![]()

WOE: Low carb/calorie cycling
|
Yes, I lost just about 100 lbs on JUDDD over two years because it enabled me to restrict calories as I need to.
I'm post-menopausal and hypothyroid (and according to my endo, I have a genetically slow metabolism anyway). I'd lost 80 lbs eating low carb, but then I needed to lower calories in order to continue to lose. At 1,000 cal a day, I could lose about one pound a week but the frustration of trying to stay that low resulted in going over on calories every few days--and that was one big stall. With JUDDD, I lost eating 400/1400, even though I did only 3 DDs a week most of the time (with one medium day). I always eat low carb for health reasons, and that's how I do JUDDD. As we lose, that's how we need to maintain, so I can't really raise calories very much and JUDDD still helps me. |
