Morning everyone!!

Jodi, there you are at O DARK-THIRTY~~ LOL!
What a wonderful thing you do, taking care of people.

The Princess is finally on some meds and we will have her re-tested for allergies in 2 weeks. Thank you for asking. It's been an exhausting, anxious time the past week with her so sick.

Well, be the curious person that I am I weighed this morning and well, it wasn't all that bad, but I was up 3.8 pounds! But, not so much the weight (water weight), I'm not feeling as good as I usually do. I ate gluten and dairy which I normally don't and also sugar, SOOOOO, it took its toll on me in many ways. So yeah today will be a clean, simple DD.

How is everyone doing today>

DD for me today. I actually did a 1000 calorie MD yesterday and was up on the scale today? What's up with that? Oh well, if only I could understand the mysteries of the human body. Heck I'd like to understand the mysteries of my OWN body!

Daughter just left to go back to school and I've dried my tears. Cannot imagine what it's going to be like in August when my daughter AND my son will be gone. It's really hard to see your kid driving away. It is only about four hours away but it might as well be forty!

I am off to try Blonde's glu coffee pudding. Hope it turns out well.

Good morning Jodi and Real!

Morning JUDDDers! Happy SPRING!!

I'm doing a MD today. . .trying to keep it to 900 calories. This will put me back on track to make tomorrow a DD. So far I'm at 110 calories.

I think I'll be doing a lot of housecleaning and laundry today. I was hoping to get out to take a walk after DD gets home from fishing, but it's only 35 degrees outside. I don't really like to walk in the cold, but I'm considering it since it is a very sunny day. Got my ipod charging now just in case.

JKat: Enjoy your UD! I'm jealous of your ability to plan them out. I just can't seem to do that yet.

RFL: Have a great DD! You're doing awesome!

What is everyone ele up to today?

Laura, I don't know what the controversy is re: Julian Bread, but I use it on my UD's, it has helped me tremendously, to stay on plan. Regular bread throws me into a tailspin, but this stuff is the bomb. I will continue to use it on my UD with guilty pleasure.

Have fun with the glu! What I do, is think about all the things I can't have because it's made with sugar, flour or cornstarch...then I make it w/glu and sf stuff.

RED ROBIN!!! YUM.

Everyone have a lovely Sunday!!!!!!

hello everyone,

Another DD is finishing here, after having a nasty UD yesterday (with sushis and plenty of carbs !) I was up 3 pounds this morning but it should (must) fade away quickly !!

I've had 175 calories so far and it's 7pm... I don't know what i'll have for dinner but i'll try to stay as low as possible !

have a good sunday everyone

Annie - that weight will come off for sure! It's mostly water, I'll bet.

Blonde - I LOVE the Julian bread. I have read threads here at LCF stating that the nutritional information cannot be right and they believe the bread is higher carb than what the company states. They recently reformulated their #1 bread so it doesn't contain soy and I'm really happy about that. Soy is in everything!! Like you I will continue to eat it until someone tells me it's loaded with rat poison.

So I'm sitting here diggin' on my coffee pudding. I used 1 cup almond milk, 1 cup coffee, 1 tsp of glu, 1 tbsp of Davinci Kahlua SF syrup and 1 tbsp of unsweetened cocoa. The container I used was really narrow and I couldn't whisk worth a darn when I added the powder to the almond milk so it's pretty lumpy but....I like the lumps! I had to add more EZ Sweet to it because I like my things to taste cavity-inducing! But wow is it good! And filling!!! I haven't had a fill in my band in over a year and it's hard to get full but a few spoonfuls of this and I'm feeling full!!! And all for 45 measly calories!!!!! I'm smitten!

I bought some chia seeds at Sprouts today because I've been watching some of those recipe threads, too. With glu and chia seeds, DDs might become easy! Or at least easier!

Dropping in to say a quick Hello to my JUDDD buddies here.

Having a lot of fun with daughters and granddaughters... oh, and the spouses... but they don't seem to want to go shopping and get pedicures with us and that sort of 'girl' stuff. LOL

Doing JUDDD 'pretty' well. I weighed immediately the first morning I awoke here to have a baseline weight to go by here, and I'm down this morning one pound from that, so that gives me a bit of wiggle room. My eating here seems to work best when I do high DDs and lower UDs, so that's what I'm doing, and it's working out fine so far.

If I can remotely maintain while here, I'll be happy. Tonight we go out to eat at some pasta place. But those places always have salad too, so I'll eat more of the salad and less of the pasta and have a wonderful time.

Today daughter here is having to work, so other daughter is arriving shortly to pick me up for the day. I have yet to get ready to go, so I'll close off. I did want to say that you all seem to be doing wonderfully! Go, JUDDDers! Spring is just around the corner! We're all going to be in smaller sizes! Hugs!

Bonsoir everyone,

A quick post before dinner !

@ SoHappy, it seems you're having a great time ! lucky you
@ Laura : I'm so jealous of all the LC & diet stuff you find in the US ! I want DaVinci syrup, chia seeds & glu powder too !!!
@RFL : as always, you're my sunshine

tonight's diner is fish kefta in tomato sauce, with rice for the boys !! (I don't mean I have a son now, it's just that my BF's best friend broke up with his GF and is living with us now...) it's an UD, and i'm afraid i'll have to make tomorrow an UD as well : I have a zumba class in the evening and I don't think I could make it on an empty stomach !!

Good evening all

MORNING EVERYONE! (Except Annie who is already up and half her day is gone! LOL! )

Happy JUDDD Tuesday!

What's going on today?

Yesterday was a GOOD DD, YAY! Once I get a good DD under my belt after a time away, I feel I can do anything! The DD gets me back on track.

So, today is a MD, just to stay on track.

Today is also a whole grain baking day, where I grind the flour fresh from whole wheat berries and then bake lovely stuff for my family. I love to bake.

I'm also working on Spring Cleaning my office, but for such a SMALL place (it's really a tiny alcove in the hallway where I stuck a desk and some bookshelves), the cleaning is taking me a loooooooooong time and lots of dust flying (you know, bookshelves and books gather dust!).

So, ACHOOOO, (excuse me), I'm off to do something productive around here while my JUDDD efforts make me svelte and gorgeous. OK, well, not gorgeous, but svelte. OK< not svelte but thinner than I was before! Well...OK..nevermind!

Have a great day y'all!

What are y'all eating today? Care to share in the JUDDD menu thread?

Good morning avery body,

RFL it is so nice to read you. You are always so cheerfull. I really envy you and your capacity of being positive. I am sure you are working on it hard and I should copy you

Sorry I haven't been around for a while, but I was feeling depressed and when I feel that way I have a tendency of hiding myself. I have also a lot to do to organize everything before op day in week from now.
Whatever I lost these past few weeks on Judd, put it all back in a few days but I am sure it is because I am eating far too many calories for me.
So I have to reset myself and try to keep track on what I am eating. I just receive Dr johnson's book and start to read it (very interesting) I also bought a calories counter book because at hospital I won't be able to look on the net. So I am all ready for a successfull JUDDD loss of loads of kilograms.

Have a very nice day

Hi Josiane! Sorry to hear you were feeling down, but welcome back and it's good to see you! A calorie counter book is a great idea! You will lose the what you gained in no time, and more!

Whew! I've had a crazy past two weeks! The water weight was getting awful and I was considering a trip to the doctor as some of you suggested but on Saturday TOM came and with it some of the water weight left...at least enough to make me feel better. I still have some bloating but my weight has come back down to only 2 pounds above my lowest so I'm headed back in the right direction. Also, I ended up making Saturday and Sunday UD's. So considering I had two UD's back to back, I think I'm doing ok weight wise. I'm hoping I'll inch my way back down this week and soon be seeing a new low. One thing I noticed is that after having a very good dd/ud rotation with no goofs for at least a month or more, two ud's in a row made me long for a dd. I was very happy to have it yesterday. I'm even a bit reluctant to eat today and haven't yet even though I've been awake since 6am. I have a ton of stuff to do today. I'm on a mission to live a minimalist lifestyle as much as is possible so today I will be decluttering in my bedroom, starting with all the clothes that I don't wear.

I'm sorry that I don't participate like so many of you do....feel like a free-loader, but I do appreciate you all incredibly and miss it when I don't get to get here for a few days. Thanks for all your encouragement over the past week. It was very helpful to me to keep from throwing in the towel!

This looks like a great group to be a part of! I created an acct. with ******.com (saw that somewhere here in a post). I Plan to start with my first DD tomorrow. I guess I'm supposed to put menu stuff in the menu area (imagine that!). Do we post introductions here in this group?
Blessings,
Liz

LBishop, glad to hear you got some relief from that water weight! I wonder if it was just TOM or possibly something else along with it? Good for you for decluttering! That's something we could all stand to do a lot more often than we get around to. Well, me anyway.. lol

Pugmama, welcome! I just joined JUDDD on March 7 and I really like it, and everyone's really nice in here. You can introduce yourself in both this and the menu board. When I first joined I didn't see the menu board so I kept posting my food here and finally someone pm'd me and told me to use the other post for that. lol I'm a newbie, too, but there are quite a few helpful and knowledgable folks in here if you have any questions!

Hi Liz and welcome again!!

This group is pretty laid-back and you can post however you like, but most of us post the menu / recipe stuff in the other thread and then our updates or conversation and certainly YOUR INTRODUCTION! YAY! in here!

Welcome to our little place in JUDDD-ville!

****** is a HUGE help to me, I use it daily. I plan my meals in advance and plug them into ****** to get the numbers right for whatever day I'm on. I put my whole day's planned foods in.

Then, as I eat the food I had planned (or sub something else), I write it down in my notebook, so I know what I've eaten (I forget), if I've taken my medications and how much I have left to eat!

I hope you enjoy JUDDD and I look forward to getting to know you better.

PugMama! This is a great group! If you've got questions there are plenty of people here who can help. I'm pretty new to JUDDD ( it!) but the support here is really tremendous!

Well, I had my first really hard DD yesterday. I don't even know why. I was really hungry by lunchtime (only had almond milk in my coffee instead of the regular half & half. . .maybe that was part of the problem?), and by the time I got home, it was like I couldn't stop eating. I landed only a little over my 500 calorie goal, but I really didn't *need* to. . .I mean, I really had had plenty to eat. I think I may have overdone it on one of my Gluc recipes. . .I had 3 servings (small calories, but they do add up), and this morning, instead of feeling pleasantly empty like I usually do after a DD, I felt really heavy and full. I'm blaming too much gluc too late in the evening. And maybe I didn't have enough water. . .I don't know as I dont really keep close track of how much water I'm drinking. I drink a lot usually, but maybe I didn't yesterday.

So, today was an UD, and I have been very careful with my calories. . .something I've been struggling with on my UDs as you all know. I'm actually under my target for today, but my carbs are higher than usual, so I'm done eating now and just sticking to water to help flush things along. Tomorrow will be another DD. . .I'm gonna go post my menu in the other board, but I feel prepared for it, so that's good.

This weekend is the last of the away hockey tournaments for the season. We'll be staying in a hotel (a Residence Inn, so it's got a small kitchenette, I beleive - yay!) both Friday and Saturday night. I know that one of the nights there is a planned birthday celebration for one of my DS's teammates, so that means a bunch of junk food I should not be eating. I think I'll do ok with that, it's the restaurant eating that is worrisome. I'm thinking of packing some really low-cal essentials for the hotel room and making Friday a DD, Saturday an UD and Sunday a MD to stay on track. Sunday there's a game at 7:30am, but then we have to stick around for a few more hours to see if his team makes it into the championship game scheduled for 3:00. At any rate, at least I'll be able to eat dinner in my own house on Sunday to counteract anything else I've been eating with unknown calories in it.

Sorry for the long rambling. . .I'm just kinda thinking *out loud* here. Thanks for listening, JUDDDies! Have an awesome rest of the evening!!

Hang on. . .I can't believe I forgot to tell you guys this! Tonight as I was standing in my kitchen I put my hands in my back pockets while I was talking. My jeans felt like they were slipping down over my butt, and when I pushed my hands further down in my pockets, I was able to push them off. . .without unbuttoning them! (No, I didn't push my pants off in my kitchen . . .I went into my bedroom to see if I could do it, and I could!)

I've got three pairs of the same pair of jeans, in a size 16, 14, and 12. They're the Lee ones with the Comfort Fit waistband. . .kind of like a stretchy waistband, but they're button-up jeans with a fly and everything. The 16's are what I have been wearing all winter and what I was wearing tonight. I immediately dug through my closet and found my 14's and tried them on. I got them on. . .maybe a little snug-looking in the butt, but with a shirt on that comes down a little over the top of my butt, I think they're totally wearable. Oh yeah!

Hammer-time!

OH. MY. GOODNESS! Andrea! Andrea! How AWESOME is THAT???
Jeans falling off! Smaller size!!! You ROCK LADY! :cla

Andrea,

I missed your first post,

Those "white-knuckle" DDs are tough. I have some from time to time, but thankfully not every time!

I'm a little concerned about the gluc...it's slowing down my elimination and I too am feeling heavy, not light. Is that happening to you, the elimination I mean.

So, there might be too much of a good thing there with the gluc, eh?

I say that as I'm sucking up some cocoa and stevia gluc pudding through a straw as my bedtime snack, cuz I'm finished with calories for my MD.

I think you'll do great on your weekend, I see you have some options mapped out. If they have the Kitchen ettes, you'll be great and you can bring LC foods with you to the meals.

Have a wonderful time (IN YOUR SMALLER JEANS! Woot! Woot!)

Leisa (I'm working my way backwards on the posts!)

Great news!!! YAY relief and lower weight, what's NOT to love????

As Leo said, maybe you needed to just keep going and the loss would eventually catch up with you!

OOOOH, since you're about 100 sizes SMALLER than I am in the clothes, if you have some to share, I'm in need!! I can pick them up if you haven't already donated them elsewhere. Just let me know!

As for being a "freeloader", oh Leisa, we're ALL freeloaders here! That's what makes this group so fun!

And, you are part of us, so don't even say you don't participate, OK? OK? GOOD!

Decluttering is good! We're doing the same thing, room by room. Just, please, don't hurt your back!

Andrea, woohoo for smaller jeans! I'm right there with ya (though you're way smaller than me lol) I've been wearing 22's and 20's (and even some 24's) and today I went to Old Navy and tried on a pair of 20s and they were soooo big, so I bought some 18's for my trip to New York next week!

good morning everyone !
Welcome Liz ! You'll see, this thread is an awesome source of advice & support ! I couldn't make it without it !
Andrea ! WTG ! what an amazing feeling !! I did exactly the same thing couple of days ago : I told my BF "look, i'm gonna show you a magic trick" and I took my jeans off without unbuttoning

I am 5 days from my birthday and I still can't see the 58 on the scale ! it's annoying !!! even after yesterday's DD + zumba I only dropped 0.5lbs... grrrrr

have a great wednesday everyone, hope it's as sunny as it is here !

Andrea and Eden---awesome job, Girls!! Thank you all for the warm welcome! I hope that smaller clothes will be on the horizon soon! I am in a size 20 jeans (boohoo!), but that is going to change! I need to get my food put into ****** or new jeans may be further away than I think! That site is awesome!
By the way, I'm in Tennessee and it is very warm. I am orginally from Texas, so I truly know what warm is! TN is just right...
