Good morning! I easily made it through my DD yesterday. I ate a little something every couple of hours and I think that really helped. I went home and had a chicken breast & broccoli for dinner and then an apple as a snack. My SO said he thinks I'm trying to get him to lose weight too. LOL He gets what I cook. I ended up with 456 calories for the day.

Hello everyone.....

welcome all the newbies... I think I started a trend at work and their are a bunch of girls starting JUDD and succeeding!!

I am doing well and maintaining without a problem. I still find the UD challenging but really try to plan my day out in advance.

When it comes to carbs I have to say that I am not as sesitive as I thought. I am tolerating whole grains without any problem. I have eaten some junky stuff here or their and that makes me feel unwell!!! Live and learn!!!

Jiggles WTG on finding what works for you!! Yesterday on my DD I did not eat untill 4pm and I did not have a problem with it. Like its been said we are all differant. I look foward to my DDs. Weird huh!

I think this thread (and the JUDDD DD Menus thread) will help me be successful on JUDDD.

Everyone new (including me) seems to be doing great at figuring out what works for each person herself.

Good Afternoon Juddders!

Today is a down day for me and so far, so good! I took my kids to a movie, since they are out of school for the day AND I didn't eat anything!! I just enjoyed the movie. I realized when I eat it's usually gone before the movie starts anyway. My kids did eat, and that was fine. I have to admit I was a little nervous.

Anyway, I had an omelet when I got home. I still like having 1 meal for down days, with a bedtime snack.

I will check in more later!! Happy JUDDDing!

Thanks Kel I did know! I have them often these days with my kids.

Good job Michelle! I think we are all differant when it comes to the DD. My last DD and today I am going to wait to eat till eve time. I find once I eat the empty hunger turns more into a angry hunger.

Hi Leo.....How are you doing this week. You were trying to get yourself back on track. I have not figured out this maintain thing yet but been eating more on UD and the same on DD. I do not mind the DD and really do not want anymore food on DD. I think eating more on DD will not work for me. I have added back in oatmeal and good grains without any trouble. I have also had an ice cream here and there with the kids. I still have to plan my meals on UD or I am a little lost!!!

Another DD for me. I have the same food at work as I did on Tuesday and plan to eat a little bit every couple of hours since that seemed to really help last time. Tomorrow is my 2 week weigh in. I'm kind of excited but also nervous to see what the scale says. I have a feeling it won't be quite as kind as it was the first week. Trying not to get my hopes up for another 3 lb. loss.

Jodi - That is a perfect way to describe it, the empty hunger turns into angry hunger. I can deal with the empty, but once it turns angry it's very hard to deal with.

I am really feeling good these last few days being back on JUDDD. I think the way I was eating was bringing me down. I have also lost about 4 lbs of water weight in 4 days now. Today, is an Upday for me. Every Thursday I go have lunch with my son at school and I pick up fast food on the way. Today, I brought my lunch to take with me and I will not be having fast food. I am really trying to look at this as being healthy and not just losing weight. I tend to do alot better with that outlook.

Anyway, Happy Juddding everyone!!

Edited to add that I updated my stats to what I weighed this morning. Booo! Oh well, I am doing something about it.

Cynthia - We are definitely rocking!

Jodi - I was just thinking about the maintaining thing this morning (not that I am anywhere close). I was wondering if instead of DD's 3 times a week, perhaps just do 2. Whatcha think?

Michelle - You are doing a great job! Really...just keep it up!

jiggles - I think you will do fine. Your DD's are spot on, so I assume your UP's are too. Don't be surprise if you see that magic number again (I hope I do)

Kel that is a good idea. I just have not wrapped myself around maintaining yet. I was thinking of mon, wed frid dd and sat/sun ud... I know already that a MD is out for me. It just will not work.

Hello All,

I am down 4 pounds for September. I am satisfied with that. Not what I had hoped for, but at least it is a loss. 2 school weekends in October so this month will be a challenge. I need to commit to eating 'clean' because all that sodium from takeout on my away weekends will mess me up if I don't.

All you newbies are doing great. Glad to see so much activity here. This way of eating works. Happy JUDDDing.

Hi Halos!

At least you lost and didn't gain or hold steady. My first official weigh in is Sat after my 4th DD. I hope I have lost something. It feels like I have.

Congrats on the loss, Halos!

Well, today didn't go quite as planned with my mini meals but I'm still doing okay. I ended up having to go to our regional office this morning which is about an hour away. I was gone about 3 hours. So, I missed my 10:00 snack time and wasn't able to eat until noon. I wasn't starving so it was fine. Just had my soup a little while ago and that will hold me over until dinner tonight.

Hi, Everyone.

Congrats to all who have lost or have had good days, or who are figuring out how to make this work!

I am having a DD today, Thursday. Easy so far.

I really want Saturday to be an UD because I am spending the day with a group of friends at the coast.

So: I will try an MD tomorrow and see how it goes.

I'm going to experiment with fasting during the daytime on water & tea, just like I do on my DDs, and then having the kind of dinner I have on an UD.

I'll see if this works for me.

Cynthia- You may even want to eat a little more than that. When I do a medium day I eat about 1000 calories. For me that is 2 regular meals/no frills. Just kind of depends on what you are eating. I normally eat 1200-1500 calories on an UD.

One thing I have noticed on this board lately is that we are all sooo different. Many here have lots of trouble with a medium day, for me they are easier than an UD. LOL

Hi ladies! Today is my DD. I am actually glad as I totally blew yesterday's UP with 1800 calories. (I was trying to not go over 1500). Weigh in tomorrow...kinda nervous about that.
