Leo - thanks for answering. But, I have only had 803 calories so far. I don't usually go all the way to my 2000 calories. Some UDs I only eat 1500 or so. It just seems like my stomach is saying....hey, why are you putting food in here???? I am not eating too much......I rarely feel like stuffing myself. So, I really don't think I am eating toooo much.

GME - I am not eating anything super unusual from before.

I used to notice this when I would fast for extended periods and then would eat. It seemed to go straight through me.

Who knows??? Maybe I have some kind of stomach thing or maybe the stress we've been dealing with is finally getting to me!

Darn it, I was hoping to catch you! Not really, I'm happy for you.

I had a happy experience this morning. I got on the scale and I'm down another 2.2 lbs in virgin territory. AND the little Wii dude (I weigh on Wii Fit) told me I am just overweight, not obese. I can't believe how well this is working for me.
GIRL! You're hot on my heels! You may just catch up - and soon.
Don't you just LURVE VFT?
I too am now just overweight! *woot*

That's awesome, good for you ! I love it when clothes get too big. Hasn't happened for a while though... gained 25 pounds right before I got pregnant cuz of thyroid issues. Then got pregnant right away with only taking 5 pounds off. I can't wait till my clothes start getting baggy too!

I was supposed to be on a DD yesterday but it ended up a mid day. I have had heavy emotional stuff going on and I think my TOM is also creeping up on me. I am in my final week of school assignments on top of figuring out what to do to bring money into the house and keeping up with outside committments and getting ready for our grad. As a graduating art student we have to orgnize our own graduation and graduate art schow and there is a lot to do so we have weekly meetings for this too.

I am so overwhelmed it's not funny.

And I am meeting with my sister this friday after a little over a year of not even talking. My whole family mysteriously shut me out and looks like the door opened a crack. So that's stressful: good and bad.

Anyway I know everyone has stuff going on and I know it's not always like this but I just didn't have the discipline and I just didn't make my DD my #1 priority and I just didn't want to care about it. So I ate more than I should have and my weight is now 5lbs up. (I had 2 UD and then this MD in a row. That'll do it for retaining water again.) Any suggestions? How should I get through this week with minimal damage? I feel frazzled.

Thanks.
I know how hard it is not to just eat junk when you're stressed. I don't think I have any different enlightening advice that anyone else hasn't given. You'll be in my prayers this week!

Oh, I forgot to tell you guys, after seeing my weight loss, my DH decided to try JUDDD. He started doing it kinda half a**, and lost 6 lbs. (without hardly trying). Anyway, he never really did a true DD until yesterday and he was down 3 lbs this morning. Well, that got him all pumped so now he is like, "ok, how many calories do I get today?" But, you will never see him on a forum like this...lol.

Stargirl: I hope you enjoy JUDD. This thread can move fast at times - just jump in anytime and join in on the conversations. I prefer real food on my DD's. Omlettes, hot cereal, homemade vegetable puree have been my filler-uppers.

Beautiful day today in Minnesota after raining last night. After yesterday's best of thread postings (IMO), I'm getting out and walking around 6 PM. This week is going to be kind of a wash with eating. My friend wants to see me for lunch tomorrow. Friday my husband and I will be taking our son out to dinner for a special occasion. I'm not even going to bother weighing myself this week. I'll start afresh on Saturday with a DD. I plan on keeping up with the exercise whether I do well with eating or not.

Snaggle: It "shines through" on your postings what a good sport you are! That's a good idea about keeping a diary of food eaten during the day. I had a journal on-line here at LCF. But every time I googled Dr. Johnson Up Day Down Day Diet to access his website, my journal popped up just underneath his website. There was a sentence that was illuminated from my journal putting JUDDD in a very positive light. I felt my journal was "being used" by the Johnson people for their benefit. I know it sounds kind of paranoid but it really was suspicious. This upset me and I had my journal deleted by LCF administrators. But I do think keeping some kind of journal or diary is an excellent idea.

So far, I haven't had that problem UNLESS last nights episode was that. It was horrible, but I thought maybe my Almond Breeze was going bad and I just didn't know it. My tummy feels kind of icky today but no problems yet. Of course, I haven't eaten yet because I'm doing Fast 5, but we'll see later on. I hope you can figure out how to change it. Maybe a banana and toast to break the fast would help?

Sorry, I didn't mean to imply that you were eating too much! I got confused and sent you the message intended for stargirl (this board just goes too fast for me:-)

It was stargirl who commented that her UD calories seemed like a lot of food, and I wanted to let her know that she didn't need to eat all those calories if she was satisfied with less.

Sorry for the confusion!

Sometimes I get audiobooks and listen to them when I run. I just won't let myself start them if I'm not exercising. I've taken another lap to get to the end of a chapter!

Redeemed, Whenever I am in "hardcore motivated weight loss mode", I always keep a diet diary/food log. I use fit day too, to help calculate, but really prefer my little notebook. Last night I ran weekly calorie averages and I am always using it to get food ideas too.

I just wish it could yield some clue as to why I am losing so slow.

Good afternoon everybody,

My DD ended yesterday with 420 calories. Yay!

I'm stoked about all the folks in VFT! I have about 10 pounds to go before I am there. Cannot wait!!

So, in earlier posts I was reading about eating to your UD limit. Do most of you stay below this? Today is my UD and to get to my limit would mean another 730 calories! I want to be sure I keep my furnace burning but without eating more calories than I need.

All the exercise talk has me motivated, too. My friend and I are going to play an exercise DVD on my computer tomorrow at work and exercise at lunch. Hope we don't get smelly......

I'm one of those that struggles not to go OVER. Its my understanding though that its a limit... you don't HAVE to eat that much. Although if you look at your DD and UD average you certainly can afford to eat to the UD allowance.

What is VFT?

So it is almost 7:30pm on my first DD. I has been hard but not as hard as I thought. I feel hunger but its not unbearable and not for anything in particular. So far so good

Some Thoughts About JUDDD

451443jq2nwtpvep.gif I have been looking at other diet plans: 4 day diet plan; fat loss for idiots; Wendy Chant crack the fat loss code, etc. The reason I will keep on with JUDDD is because I truly feel I can stay on this woe for the long-term. Even if weight loss slows down, this woe is the most satisfying to me. On my DD's lately I have been fixing a nice omelet for me and my husband for supper. So, in that respect the diet doesn't cause me to eat special foods or a meal other than my family is having. I need to do some fine-tuning still to pull the reins in on UD's. But it's so nice to see a watermelon on my countertop and potatoes in the refrigerator and really good whole grain bread - foods that were limited on LC because in order for me to loose with LC, I had to stay under 20 carbs. I did manage to loose 14 pounds but it took me over 7 months.

Kisha - you are right - My UD/DD average is 1270. Believe me, I have no problem eating up to the limit. I just guess I need to figure out what is going to work for me. It would be great to be able to eat up to it and still have a nice steady loss.

Redeemed - I got the two Wendy Chant books in the mail today but didn't open them because I don't want to be told what to eat and when to eat it. I like to choose for myself and within the confines of the caloric limits, I can eat those foods that work best for me. It's really nice.

Laura, that is a great idea!! You may start a trend at work. I would bring a washcloth in a zip-lock sandwich bag and purse-sized deodorant. Baby wipes are good too. That way you can enjoy your exercising and not worry.

Had a good UD today and I'm one pound lower tonight than I was last night, so I'm hopeful that will be one pound down tomorrow! I had a egg cream without the egg to break my fast because I was feeling really hungry and then had dinner with my family and a caramel apple! It won't be long till I"ll be in virgin territory myself! Just 2 to 3 pounds! When I hit 129, I'll consider it virgin because I was at 129 something about 2 years ago. Can't wait! I did find out one thing tonight. For me, DO NOT RUN ON UD AFTER EATING!!!!! I feel so much better when I run at the end of my fast. I will not be running after eating especially on an UD. I have lots of energy for my runs when I run around 3pm before I eat for the day. I will not make that mistake again. It was awful! Signed up today for my first 5K. It's Saturday! My girls are going to run/walk it with me!

Good Morning Juddders!

I had an awesome UD yesterday and actually came in a little under my limit. That's a first..lol. Anyway, I have realized that I have gone overboard lately and it has stopped or slowed any loss way down.

Here are my totals:

Grams Calories %-Cals
Calories 1,600
Fat 93.0 808 53 %
Saturated 33.8 300 20 %
Polyunsaturated 14.7 131 9 %
Monounsaturated 35.4 315 21 %
Carbohydrate 88.9 340 22 %
Dietary Fiber 14.1
Protein 94.5 374 25 %
Alcohol 0.0 0 0 %

Leisa - I figured out the same thing for me about running. I do better on the treadmill before eating. I love running on my DD's.

I will check in with ya'll later.

Good morning!

My UD yesterday was pretty good. Not the crazy feast I had this weekend . Going to hit the gym this morning after I drop my 4 year old off at preschool for a couple of hours.

I feel like I've been retaining water big time the past few days and I don't quite understand why. I've been drinking lots of water, avoiding caffeine, and not adding extra salt to anything. I can't even fit my ring on my finger this morning! Anyone have any good ideas that I haven't already tried to get rid of this water?

Good morning JUDDERS!

Trishagrll - I wish I could help you, but I retain water really bad myself. If you find out any great secrets to flush it.....please share

My UD cals were right around 1700 - 1800. I like getting back to the DD swing of things so today should be pretty good! I plan to hold off on eating until my family eats supper later today. It worked fine on Monday so today wil be another trial

My stomach issues are better today. Maybe yesterday I just had some kind of bug.

For those of you who save your 500 calories for one meal what are some of the things you eat? I love a good veggie or salads, but just like variety every once in a while!
