I've discovered that I need to plan my UDs as much as my DDs (with more calories, of course) because if I leave it to chance, I go way too high in calories. They really add up quickly! I also eat low carb all the time, mainly for health reasons, but I don't know if I could get through a DD otherwise, as low carb helps control my enormous appetite. |

Hi ! Just checking in. I've been MIA lately but things are still going well. I'm down another lb this morning! I am going away this weekend so my main goal is to stay relatively LC. There is just too much going on to do true UDs and DDs so I'm doing the best I can.
Congrats to all the losers!!! |

Michelle and Gina, congrats on the new decades!!!
I can't wait until I get out of the old century .Glorious UD for me. My DD went extremely well yesterday. I'm stuck on Fage w/strawberry jam. ![]() I am still so sore from my Gilad workout on Tuesday. I'll either do my elliptical or maybe a WATP. Have a good evening, Juddder's. |

Hi everyone. I'm having an UD today but have not eaten yet. I will eat at 5pm. I had 3 days of overeating but had a good DD yesterday so I'm only about 2 lbs up from my VFT and I'm bloated from PMS. I consider that a good thing since I always had way more of a gain if I "cheated" on ATkins, especially if TOM was close. I feel great and I really love JUDDD!

Oh my goodness! I just spent almost an hour reading all that I missed from last Saturday til today!
I missed you guys! It has been such a crazy week but finally today I can rest and catch up on life! I had a successful DD Monday but from Tu,W,Th was not what I had planned. Wednesday, my normal DD ended up being a major UD!!! Then I tried to make up for it by making Th a DD. Well that ended around 1000 cals. I am always so meticulous keeping up with cals but this week did not allow me to do so. I felt like I was straying. I haven't weighed but will tomorrow after today's clean DD. To add to the craziness TOM showed up Monday which probably accounts for the crazy eating. I was so ready to get control back!!! GME - Congratulations!!! I know you are excited! I have been watching your posts and hoping JUDD would work for you! NoSugarShell - You are awesome! I got on and noticed your stats had moved and then I followed your posts and wow! You are def inspirational! I will miss redeemed Gonna have to find her on the ML!!Anybody heard from Doingthisforme? I get so used to seeing names here and when they don't post for awhile I get worried! JUDD has been just what I needed to shed those pounds so I hope to see everyone get just as much success! Happy Friday ya'll! I will post my numbers tomorrow! |

Wow, it looks like everyone has split for the weekend already!
I'm on a DD and right now, I'm nibbling on my pinkie and the other fingers are looking a tad scared. It's puzzling how some DDs (my other 2 this week) can be so easy but some aren't quite so easy. I highly doubt I'll be back over the weekend (unless I get some really good numbers on the scale tomorrow), so hope everyone has a great, safe, and blessed Memorial Day weekend! |

Vanilla-
I'm still here, and like you, I'm having a difficult DD! Why is it that some are so much easier than others? I'm on the board to try to distract myself (if my fingers are on the keyboard, I can't nibble on them:-) I'm afraid that I won't see a loss tomorrow because except for yesterday, I'm really having trouble reining in my UDs. I used to stay at 1200-1300 cal on UDs, but I began going higher. That stopped my loss, and I can't seem to get back down. Yesterday I had about 1500 cal, but I was starving all evening. That wasn't the case in the past when I was eating less. And I'm still low carbing. I'm just hoping that my thyroid isn't out of whack again. My next scheduled blood tests aren't until next month. One reason I'm concerned is that hypos should get at least 30g of carbs day, preferably from veggies. But in order to keep my protein up (and avoid muscle wasting), it's difficult for me to get in those carbs even on UDs and definitely not on DDs. That may be affecting my thyroid function. It also can be psychological--i.e., having eaten to 1800 calories (and more), I'm now not satisfied on less. It's very frustrating. But, as Kisha always says, "I'll never give up." |

Ugh! I am STARVING!! I have had coffee, celery, and some green beans today along with a special K drink mix. My cals are around 200 and I have 300 left but.....this is movie night at our house and the eating is about to begin. I figure I can have my 100 cal popcorn, but not sure what else. This has by far been one of my hardest DDs yet!!

Difficult DD here too! What the heck? Monday and Wednesday went fine but today I want to gnaw the paint off the walls.
Congrats to all of you VFTers! That is way awesome and maybe I will get there too if I can keep focused! My UDs have gotten away from me and I started off on JUDDD writing EVERYTHING down. I need to get back to that. Have a great weekend! |

Okay so I had some strawberries and haven't had my 100 cal popcorn. But my stomach is cramping so bad!!! It feels like gas
![]() Sorry, I know TMI but I am in some serious pain! and I haven't had hardly anything to eat. I guess that will keep me from eating anything else!My cals are still only around 260. Anybody ever have this tight feeling in your tummy after a DD with only green veggies? I only remember it one other time. I had some tums and it helped last time but oh my goodness.....this is tough! Maybe too much fiber, I don't know?? |

Weekly Weigh In
Down only .5 this week, but I'm just disheartened, not depressed. This just confirms my belief that my UDs have to be more controlled. After about 4 months on JUDDD, I've just gotten careless. Last week, I had only one UD close to my UD personal maximum. JUDDD has been so good to me that I've let my calories creep up on UDs. It occurred to me that many people post that their plan "stops working" after a while. I wonder if they, like me, just get too careless with it? I came to JUDDD because I knew I had to average <1000 calories a day to lose (post-menopause and hypothyroid), and I did well when I was doing just that. So I need to get back to it. The good news is that thanks to my obsessive personality, I've been able to control DDs so far, so it's just the UDs that I need to focus on right now. One of the great things about JUDDD (for me) is that it provides insight into my eating issues. When I don't lose, I know what the problem is. JUDDD has brought me to VFT (less than I've been in 30 years!), but I still have more to lose, and, as Kisha says, "I'll never give up." |

ok guys! I seriously thought my scale was broke this morning when after a REALLY rough DD yesterday I am at 117.6!! I had a 2 lb whoosh. I have lost more this week than any other week since January. I have totally reigned in my UD's and this is my second week doing a true rotation! Those things have made a huge difference.
Anyway, UD for me today and I am going to enjoy it. I am sure I will be up tommorrow. Have a great Memorial Day weekend!!! |

Hey all - after lots of agonising over different diets. Even considering (and still considering HCG) and after speaking to the wonderful Kisha and checking seeing Shell's progress, I have decided to start JUDDD. I will combine it with LC/LGL. I'm conident this can work. I'm not able to buy the book yet, we just do not have the extra money (we just applied for a mortgage on my dream first home! - fingers crossed!) So with the info I've gathered on this previously, and the JUDDD site, I think I'll be ok without for now. I've had my surgery, and gained tons while I was inactive. I'd started losing again up until last week, then this week dreaded TOM, which will last 9 days at least, has meant I've not gained, but I've not lost either. I fear the dreaded stall. I have a mini goal to be at least 7lbs lighter by the 13 June. So hopefully this'll do the trick!
If you have any tips and hints please let me know. I was thinking on DD I may stick to egg creams, is this ok? I'm gonna go check if there are any forbidden foods on DD's. If you know of any previous posts that I should check out please let me know also. Thanks so much Kisha, you have been so much help, and a wealth of info. You are fab! Have a great weekend. ETA, I'm a vegetarian so any tips there would be fab too. I eat eggs and dairy, just no fish or meat.. G x

I apologize for the multiple posts! When I was posting early this morning, it didn't seem to be working. Little did I know that it took 3x! Then I copied my post later (when it still hadn't showed up) for a 4th time!
This hasn't happened before. I thought there was a malfunction on the site, but obviously I was the one malfunctioning. If anyone knows how to delete posts, plese let me know. |

![]() I have the book. It is interesting, but you can "do" the diet with the info here and on the website. There are no "forbidden" foods. Just the calories limits. It seems like a lot of folks (me included) keep low carb still, especially on DDs for hunger control. I have never made an egg cream, but I know they are pretty popular for DDs. The posts where people talk about what they eat on their DDs are helpful. After LCing ofr so long, I was (and still am) a low calorie noob. My grocery trips take forever now because I have to read the labels of everything. Good luck!
