hey everyone. DD for me. I'm up a bit in weight since my low, but I think I've just had some bigger UD's than I should have. I'm SO enjoying being able to have some carbs again that I go overboard a little. I know I'll level back off, but we had some treats in the house that I haven't eaten in months and months and it's gone now. Our water went out last night and we just got the news that we need a new water pump...ugh! God has always provided and every time we have something major go out, we've always had the money to pay for it. What a blessing! Have a great day everyone. I"m going to try to run later on.

I haven't tried Benedryl. I did take an ambien last night and got a GREAT night sleep, finally! I usually have low blood pressure, so not an issue for me.

Thanks for all the suggestions on the sleep issues. I will try the benedryl and also the magnesium.

Today is DD for me and I had a huge UD yesterday. Did great till the end of the day then just went a little nuts. I started TOM today, so I believe that explains it. Going to attempt a WF today. Woo hoo! I did my first one on Sunday and it was great.

Nowadays I either drink a few glasses of water or eat a cheesestick or a small bite of 85% Lindt Chocolate and the headache either diminishes or goes away. It doesn't take much.
Ya, my experience is similar... I find that eating small amounts of protein throughout the day works for me, though not entirely.

Good Morning.
UD for me.
We had a power surge in our apartment and the micro and stove weren't working this morning. So I had peanut butter for breakfast lol.

UD today for me today too. Yesterday's DD went well. Having mostly protein sure seems to help me. I was 1 lb up over my low, low this morning. Hope to be in VFT after my next DD.

I have today and tomorrow off work. I'm on my way to the dermatologist later this morning and if I get some stuff burned or frozen or cut off my face I thought it best not to scare the children tomorrow (I teach 3rd grade).

I'm going to check out our new Whole Foods too and see what kind of low cal mayo I can find to make egg salad. Then probably a run and little chores around the house. I'm trying desperately to avoid writing a grad school admissions essay. After years of teaching I'm going back for a master's and admin credential.

Trish, that house is beautiful and the price sure looks good to a Californian! Good luck! We tried to buy a foreclosure and the bank was a nightmare to deal with. They acted like they were doing us a favor. We found a better house and that one is still sitting, vacant.

If it has a septic tank and has been vacant very long, be sure to check it out carefully. Trees roots get used to water being in the leach field and then when it isn't there anymore, the roots will travel up the lines looking for water. That's what happened to the house we were looking at anyway.

Hope it works out for you!

Today is an UD but I am doing a MD, probably around 1100 cals at the most. I'm trying to damage control before the weekend. Tomorrow will also be a MD and Saturday an UD. Back on plan Sunday. I'll be trying my best.

DD today is dragging. I am starving and unclear if I am going to be able to complete my planned workout tonight. 1 hour bike / 800 Meter swim. Ughh. I am hungry with a low grade headache. Just made some coffee with heavy cream and splenda. Maybe that will snap me out of the funk.

good luck with the headache...hope the coffee helps. Heavy workouts are tough on DD's....
I am enjoying my UD but am worried a bit about the weekend since I will have to juggle around my schedule a little bit.

In other good news... I'm down to 210.8 today ! That's 2 pounds since Saturday. Why didn't someone tell me about this plan earlier?! I'm going to record this as my weekly weigh in weight since I won't be near my own scale on Saturday.

Finally, some more good news that is totally unrelated to diet... my husband and I found a house this week that we've gone to look at a few times. We're so excited about it... it's really pretty close to my dream house after a little bit of work. It's a repo so it's so cheap we decided to put in a bid on it yesterday! Now we're just waiting to see if the bank accepts it . It's a pretty 1800's Victorian home!

Today is a DD for me. It is 3:00 in the afternoon and I find 3-5pm the hardest time of the day for me. My children are getting home from school, I'm tired and it would be real easy to eat just for comfort. I just ate a 1/2oz of cheese to try to satisfy myself but it tasted so good that I had to remove myself quickly from the area.

I'm hoping to get into VFT tomorrow after today's DD so I don't want to mess it up now. I CAN HAVE IT TOMORROW!!!

Cherry Blossom, 3 to 5 is also the hardest time for me. I started a new med yesterday and today is the hardest DD for me so far! I haven't eaten anything because I was determined to wait until 5pm but now that it's 5, I'm afraid to eat. I'm afraid I'll go crazy. I'm going to leave in 15 minutes to take my dd to ballet and then the other two to a library program, so I'm thinking of maybe just getting a Coke Zero and seeing if I can find a little something to tide me over while I'm out, then when I get home if I'm still hungry (which I expect) then I can see how many calories I have left and have them at that point.

Yeah, sometimes it's like a dam unleashed when I'm so hungry and eat a little bit of something. It sounds like you have a good plan. It's good you're leaving the house...it's always much easier when you're busy!

Hello JUDDDERS,

UD here after another successful DD yesterday. I was really hungry yesterday, but came in at 450 calories. I am watching my UD calories carefully today, weighed and measured everything. If I eat everything I plan on eating I'll come in at 1900 calories. I overate this weekend so I'm trying to rein it in this week and really watch it.

I feel thinner and I hope the scale agrees on Saturday morning. I too, wish that I had found this diet earlier. I could have had all this weight off by now!

I wish I would have found this diet (or it was discovered) a long time ago. Sometimes I read other diet plans on LCF and I want to post "Wouldn't you rather do JUDDD?" But I don't because it's their choice. I look at some of the menus people come up with and I'm sooo glad I found JUDDD.

I agree. As long as it keeps working. It wasn't that bad maintaining Atkins Induction or Atkins OWL through a multi-month stall. I don't think I could handle a month of JUDD with no weight loss. Its the weigh loss that makes me love it. Of course I'm overjoyed with any average over 1/2 pound per week so changes are I can get to goal with this WOE.

woohoo! I came in at only 300 calories tonight after being so worried! I decided to just nibble a little here and a little there and it worked! I had some strawberry slices and cucumber slices before I left the house. While in Walmart, I ended up with a 130 calorie 3 Muskateers Mint bar (yummo!) (I know that wasn't great, but was SO good!) At 9:30 I had 1 2/3 cup of Chocolate Almond Breeze and a Curves Chocolate Peanut granola bar. That was after a 3 mile run that my treadmill said I burned 500 calories doing! According to tonights weight I will be at a new low tomorrow! I never felt hungry tonight once I ate the strawberries and cucumbers. Exercise always takes my hunger away, so I've decided I will put my exercise right in the middle of my 5 hour window on DD's. It helped!

I had the opposite experience with diet soda this week--and I should know better. On my Wednesday DD, I had a craving for soda, so I bought a few bottles of Diet Dr. Pepper, despite the aspertame that I try to avoid.

I had one Wednesday night, and I was feeling so skinny on Thursday morning, I stepped on the scale--bad mistake because I seemed to be up 3 lbs. Now I know that's impossible, given the calories I'd been consuming, but my reactions aren't totally logical, and I was immediately depressed over the apparent gain.

On Thursday, I drank two more bottles of Diet Dr. Pepper, and I don't know whether it was my depression at the apparent weight gain OR the soda (since I know that AS increase my appetite), but I truly gorged for the rest of the day, eating everything in sight. It was mainly eggs, meat, and cheese--but those dense calories really add up.

Today I'm doing my DD and hoping that I didn't do too much damange. The lesson for me (which I've known and ignored!) is NOT to weigh during the week AND avoid AS as much as possible.

It's 2 or 3 hours early than I usually weigh myself, but I did hit new territory today! only .4 of a pound but hey! 128.4 today. I'm sure I"ll find it by morning because I'm going to eat pizza with my dd and her friend and the sodium alone will bloat me. I'm going to have a big salad first though and will eat no more than 2 slices. Yeah for an UD! oh and that T3 that my doctor put me on is amazing! I feel SO much better already!

This seems to happen to a lot of people and quite frankly, I think my loss should have been more this morning but after I went to bed last night, my stomach was growling so I grabbed a Coke Zero and drank some more then went to sleep. I wonder if it didn't cause me a bit of weight. I weighed 129.8 after my shower last night and I am almost always at least 2 pounds lighter in the morning, so 128.4 was really what I expected. It's still my lowest so far though so I'll take it. I want to stop drinking diet drinks simply to avoid AS's because they are just not good for us. I have been doing really well, but yesterday gave in. I wasn't even really craving one. I did it more out the old habit thing. I'll drink TONS of water with my pizza tonight and NO diet soda! I'm also trying to wrap my brain around only weighing once a week, but man, it's SO hard!

I hear ya Leisa!

I was trying to wait until my official weigh in on Tuesday and what did I do this morning? Talked myself into a sneak peak. Wish I'd waited because I was up .4 even after a DD. I'm not gonna jump off a bridge or anything but like Leo, I was feeling "skinny." Maybe I'll throw the scale off a bridge instead...hmmmmm......

Oh well.

That is a really good idea. On a couple of my DDs I've made dinner a little early and headed out for a run. I have the hardest time in the evening, so it does really help.

Congratulations of the VFT! I hope to be there tomorrow.

Oh well.
yes, throw the scale, not yourself! .4 could just be a bathroom issue, haha!

I am enjoying my UD but am worried a bit about the weekend since I will have to juggle around my schedule a little bit.
The coffee helped for a short bit.

Thanks, I opted for a 4 oz container or Carb Master Yogurt mixed with 12 almonds. Carried me through my swim although I skipped the cycling, just did not have it in me.

I can absolutely appreciate this. I had been losing about 1/3 pound a week average since Dec/Jan. I have lost about 5 so far in 3 weeks doing this. Still not dropping off but it's nice to see the scale move a little though.

What time do we all meet up to give our scales a swim! It's certainly a love/hate relationship we manage with these confounded contraptions.

Great idea... I should do that too because 3-5 about did me in yesterday. I ended up eating a string cheese right before bed so I could sleep half way decent. I was irritable with the family at dinner time and everything seemed to bother me...I assured my family this wouldn't last forever. I look forward to doing JUDDD when I'm in maintenance and upping my DD calories. I think that would be quite easy after what I've been doing.

Leo, you are so good at JUDDD. Knowing your resolve, you'll be just fine. Just look at all the success you've had so far: even after you went on vacation. I can relate though on gorging. I bought some squeaky cheese yesterday from our local dairy and just snuck a bite. Oh, man, that set off the monster in me. I wanted to eat the whole salty, cheesy, bag of it!!! Again, you'll be fine though. You are inspiration to so many of us.

Today is an UD for me and boy, am I glad! I was very ready to eat breakfast this morning! My stats are going pretty good. Today was my weekly weigh-in and I hit VFT by .5lbs!!! It's been 10 years since I've been at this weight and anything below it will be VFT from 19 years ago. This is a summary of my JUDDD weigh-ins:
Week 1: -2lbs
Week 2: -1lb
Week 3: -2lbs
Week 4: -.5lbs
Week 5: -1lb
So far, pretty good, but I'm with Kiesha, if this WOE wasn't working, I don't know if I'd continue. DDs are hard for me. I'm thinking that if I get too fatigued or if progress stops, I will go into JUDDD maintaining mode or back to LC for awhile and then JUDDD weight loss again. I think I could do the FAST 5 also. I'm glad of all the tools there are to use. What I can't do is quit...
