Good evening everyone, sorry I've been MIA today. I see all are well and doing just fine. Today is a down day for me and it has gone fairly well.
I need to get my water in because I've been slacking on that today.
Kisha great job.

Welcome AIM and GME. I just discovered how satisfying a CG Bran Crispbread (12 calories) is with one wedge of Laughing Cow cheese (35 calories) and 1/4 cup of egg white cooked (30 calories) for a DD meal! It's awesome but Leo and Krista may have already figured this out. Total calories: 77. The liquid meals are just too hard for me to stick too on DD's so now I add a bran crisp, a Laughing Cow cheese wedge with cinnamon and artificial sweetener to a bowl of asparagus soup, and it's a great meal that keeps me satisfied for more than 3 hours! Diet soda helps get rid of hunger pains too. Anyway, just throwing out some ideas. Keep up the good work gang!

A few more DD ideas:

Well, its already been said but LAUGHING COW Light Cheese (I like the garlic herb)
raw vegetables with low cal low fat dip (I use the spicy hummus from Trader Joe's)
Hebrew National 97% fat free Hot Dogs
Trader Joe's BBQ Chicken Terryaki (150 cals for 1 cup I don't use the sauce)
Trader Joe's Turkey meatballs (100 cals for 2) I add to a big old leafy green salad with low fat low cal dressing

Good morning everyone!

Boy, I am tired ... I must still be wiped out from Easter. I am not motivated to workout, blah. Yesterday's DD was good but I went a bit over on calories, around 600. I was tired yesterday too. I think today, being an UD, all I can do is to try hard not to go over board. It is a sunny and warm day, so I'll drag my tired hiney outside and do some yard work. Maybe that will help.

Hope you all have a great Judddd day today!!

Good morning everyone. Today is an UD for me and I'm not very hungry. Tomorrow I will be at a conference so I will check in when I can.
I use to worry about what I was going to eat while at meetings and conferences but I'm not too worried now.
I will be traveling tomorrow so my DD will be fine. I usually don't eat too much while traveling.
Thursday will be an UD and that day falls right in place because I will be able to eat and enjoy some of the foods.
Friday another DD and I will be traveling back home.
Everything seems like it will work out just fine.
Later!

OK--it wasn't as bad as I feared. After a DD, I'm up 2.5 lbs after my 4-day trip to New Orleans. Yesterday's DD wasn't easy after 4 consecutive (high calorie) UDs, but I got in at about 420 cal for the day. I'm hoping to get rid of the extra weight by the end of this week. Although I tried to eat carefully, this confirms what I already know--that I cannot eat they way I've done all my life. At my age and being hypothyroid, I have to seriously restrict calories.

Happily, JUDDD really helps me do just that.

Leo I hope you had a great time in New Orleans.
Good job on your DD!
I'm with you, I know I cannot eat the way I've eaten in the past.
I like JUDDDing and I continue to pray daily that this is the eating plan for me.
Whether i'm low carbing or not, I have to restrict calories too.

I made it through my first DD. Go me! I'm going to trust y'alls word that it gets easier. I drank my weight in coffee and diet soda, but it kept me on track.

My totals for yesterday:

Calories 545
Fat 13.3 119 22 %
Carbohydrate 27.2 104 19 %
Dietary Fiber 5.1
Protein 82.7 325 59 %

I ate pretty much exactly what I had planned, except when it came time to eat my fish for dinner I put a generous helping of a yummy peach salsa that I buy from Trader Joes. It added 30-40 calories. I really needed it since I usually eat fish with tarter sauce or mayo. I also had broccoli... plain... blech. I don't think I'll bother with that on a DD again.

I'll be more prepared next time. I started with a bare cupboard- we had been out of town for Easter and I never keep low fat/low cal stuff in the house. I went shopping yesterday and got some stuff more appropriate for DDs.

I'm down 3.5 lbs from yesterday, but its not new weight. And a piece of pie and some jellybeans caught up with me on Easter, so a day of regular clean eating would have taken some of that off, but still...

I don't have my UD meals planned yet. I just finished a bowl of oatmeal and I'm going out for a run in a bit. I'm a little worried about my energy levels after yesterday, but we'll see. I did manage to do some upper body weights yesterday afternoon and felt fine.

All in all, a success!

Happy JUDDDing everyone!

Morning guys! A full week is over of Judddding. I did it 100% and lost 7 lbs. This morning I was the same as two days ago, so I'm sure this new week will be a more steady loss. I say, bring it!

Finally got the courage to tell hubby what I'm doing. He was *actually* on board with it. I thought he would consider me crazy! I told a co-worker and my mom about it bc they're battling the fat right now. They might join me, but I know I can do this on my own. Either way, I'll be great. Anyway, it was cute. Hubby asked last night, "Can you eat tomorrow?" LMAO. This was while we were eating beef stew together (I save my 500 for dinner). Anyway, I nodded. He said good because he wants to go to this mexican restaurant that serves way too much food. I already did the math, and I know exactly what I can eat an still have a decent UD. And we never order chips there, so no distraction from THAT.

KISHA - That is AMAZING results! I'm so proud of you! And that gives me even more motivation to keep going! I can't wait until I get 4 weeks under my belt. I'll post the results too. This is the first WOE I've not been afraid of giving up on. On every other one of them, I quickly panic thinking to myself I have to do the same WOE everyday to reach goal. This one doesn't make me feel that way.

Have a good UD/DD everyone!

Wow, everybody, great results!
Tues. are my official weigh in day, which is kind of lame given my Sat/Sun/Mon med days, but that was the day my friend and I picked. I am down 1.5 lbs since last tues.
which I am happy about considering the big 3 days of eating I had this weekend.
I had been down 4.5 lbs the week before on strict atkins induction.
So...................6 lbs in two weeks.

Kamicryze--- WOW! great job. And GME, good first day, and just think, today you can really eat!

YAY GINA!!! You did it! And on your first try too! Alot of us had a coupla false starts before we hit our first succesfull DD. they get easier I PROMISE! Also you're right about the low carb low cal stuff... i had like NOTHING and had to buy some things (laughing cow light cheese, 97% FF Hebrew National Hot dogs, hummus, low cal low fat dressing etc.) sometimes I think my food supply has split personalities.

GIRL!!! That is just awesome. What great one week results. I agree with you about this WOE. It is especially helpful for me to know that even if I have two (or four) UD or OFF DAYS I can get right back on track with a succesful DD and recover from any indiscretion> Can't wait to hear your one month results!

BACK ON TRACK

I did it. I pulled off a succesfull liquid fast yesterday. I really only drank coffee with whole milk so about 150 cals. I put myself to bed HELLA early (like nine!) last night and woke up this morning feeling SO MUCH BETTER. I'm still way carbed up from eating sugar (um, and a piece of bread and a cup of pasta) over the weekend and am still definately retaining water. But its coming back off. I'm about three pounds up from my stat weight this morning and KNOW FROM EXPERIENCE that I should be back down at 190 by my official Saturday morning weigh in. Last time I went off track was when I had a four UD vacation. I had a huge weight bounce up and it was all gone after a succesful three DD rotation... I'm confident the same will be true this time.

UD today and I'm aiming for about 1800 calories. I'll be right on track with 1100 after lunch time leaving me 700 to play with for dinner. MORE THAN ENOUGH!

I DO wish I hadn't done what I did over the weekend. It was so not worth it and really a strange thing for me. I haven't eaten SUGAR like that since I started Low Carbing eighteen months ago. It was a really bizarre experience. Well, I'm paying the price on the scale and also with regret... but now that I'm back on track I'm resolving to only look forward. No point looking back except to say I learned my lesson. Hopefully I've only lost a weeks worth of progress since I'm quite sure it will take one week to undo the damage.

Well, Happy JUDDing ladies!

LMAO. I remember asking if it's acceptable to chew on your arm on DDs.. After I did 2 DDs, I realized what time I get hungry. Usually, I'll take a steamer bag and microwave a squash or something. 50 cals to settle me down until dinner.

Good luck!!! I know EXACTLY how it feels.

But now I don't feel it very strong anymore.

I was there from Thurs. through Easter Sunday, and this is the first time since I started JUDDD in late December than I haven't alternated regularly. Four UDs in a row--and probably more calories than most of my UDs. I'm back to a DD this morning, but I dare not step on the scale until I have at least one DD completed.

However, here's the good news. Faced with all that magnificent food, I had NO desire to overeat, but I did not fanatically deprive myself either. I had one beignet (New Orleans doughnut), but it was all I had that breakfast. I ate very heathily for the most part because NO has such great fish--which I love--and opted for dessert only once. We were at Brennan's, the restaurant that invented Bananas Foster, and it's usually prepared for the table. However, I only ate 2-3 bites and then passed the rest to my niece. That was enough to enjoy it, I discovered.

I DO think this is a result of JUDDD. As Kisha has posted recently, this WOE has given me so much knowledge about myself and my food issues. In the past, faced with such abundant, marvelous food and on a visit like this, I would be helpless, and inclined to eat as much as I possibly could. This time, I just thought, "What would I LIKE to have?" And my second question, "Would it be good for me?" But I never thought that I was depriving myself, and I actually enjoyed my food--although I was never "full," which is a triumph for me. That is, I wasn't hungry, but I avoided that stuffed feeling that comes from overindulgence.

Tomorrow I'll let you know what the damange was in terms of gain (which I expect, as I gain on 'normal' calories for most people). But I'm already back on JUDDD, and I'm confident that I can lose any "vacation weight" on this plan.
