Well I will check in later.

STILL, I just take pride in the fact that I'm back on my UD DD rotation and have faith that a coupla more succesful DD will put me at a new low low weight on the RANDOM NUMBER GENERATOR.

Thats the main reason one of my April goals is to stick to UD DD rotation one hundred percent. Consecutive UD tend to put my weight loss off about a week.

Sassy, I think most of us are in your same boat and the posts from Caramel and Kisha both prove that when we can stick faithfully to a true alternate day UD and DD schedule, we have much better results, and switching around tends to slow us down.

Switching around is necessary sometimes and I hope that various Tweakers will come forward and let you and Jenny know in some detail how they handle this and how they handle social engagements on a DD without losing their focus. I think FOCUS is so important on this program (or any other, I guess) because when we keep focused, everything becomes easier and simpler.

BUT--when you have to go off the plan do not be discouraged and drop out of JUDDD--I have seen lots of proof that it really works, both here and at the Old Dead JUDDD site.

Always Remember, you dont become a "Failure" with JUDDD if you turn a DD into a Moderate Day or even an UpDay. Each day is a new day and offers the opportunity to start over without any kind of big fandango--just pick up where you left off and do it.

This is called a Do-Over and it is one of the great advantages of JUDDDing. With some diets, if you slip up one day, it will take you a week of complicated nutritional gyrations to get back on track. Here, is different-- you learn from your slip-ups and just get back to your program the next day. (And knowing this is a great morale booster )

OOOPS, I ALMOST FORGOT TO POST THIS: LURKERS

I forgot to share this message before we left the other thread--I meant to as it is too cute to keep to myself. It came earlier from someone who reads here and for obvious reasons doesnt post-- but its the kind of thing everyone here would enjoy reading because it shows how others respond to the way we Tweakers do things.) .

Remember one time when we were all being especially silly, and I jokingly said I hoped there werent any peeps who came and read our posts and then had to leave in haste to preserve their sanity. Well this note below came from a happy "lurker" (who fortunately does not seem to fear for her sanity when she visits us. )

She said she and some friends "only follow real Atkins and not any kind of fasts" but come and read us almost every day. just for the fun of it. I hope she wont mind if I quote a line or two from what she wrote because it was very sweet and insightful..

"...because of what you said we've decided we are Laughing Lurkers now. We always read the Tweakers thread because it makes us feel good like it is a real neighborhood and we really admire the way everyone always treats everyone else like real friends and wants to help. . . Also we like to see people have fun together and try new ideas. Even if we don't use them ourselves we can still learn from reading about them. . , .We can't remember seeing a thread like this before and it never gets dull or boring...Keep up the good work and keep on making us laugh!....And who knows some time we might want to try what the tweakers are doing because it looks like they have a lot of success together even if they kind of make up their own rules. PS We really like that name Tweakers."

Well, we must be on the right track if outsiders can drop in and quickly identify what makes us so special! Clearly, our invisible visitors recognize that--in our case at least-- non-conformity is a sign of higher intelligence and rare creative skills. and they appreciate our unique brand of always being supportive and encouraging new ideas as long as they arent too far out.. I hope everyone who stops by and just lurks has the imagination to really get what we are all about here (and the brains and good taste ) but it sure looks like this kind-hearted lurker and her friends--and a lot of others--do! .

Tweaking became successful because we were encouraging to those off-beat souls who had "different" ideas or oddball questions but who werent sure they ought to mention them in public. And the result is that Tweaking has become a happy cyber-home for all, including people who are a bit shy by nature and wanted a place where they would always feel free to speak up about the Tweaks they were using with JUDDD or other modified fasts..

We may not be the fastest loosers (or The Biggest Loosers ) but we are succeeding and we do it through sharing creative ideas and honest tales of success and stalls.

So, we're deservedly proud that we are different! (See? Even our Lurkers praise us for that.) Yes, maybe we have a little too much fun now and then. (Sometimes we even talk about children, kitties, and bunnies.) And Nope, we dont get hung up on rules--one of our great advantages, actually .. And we're rightfully proud that all the people who post here are caring and considerate--and adventuresome! . How lucky we are to feel free to discuss whatever dietary concerns interest us and know we will be greeted with respect and enthusiasm...and genuine affection... . ..

okay, you guys are having such great success with JUDDD, I have to do it. I will combine it with my Fast Five though as I do so much better the later I start eating.

Sooo, I went to Dr. Johnson's website and for 20% weight loss mode, it comes to Upday - 1811 and DD - 362....whew the 362 will be tough....lol. But, I see you guys doing it all the time.

I like to shake things up once in a while.

Kisha - Do you do your Fast 1 on your updays??

O HECK NO!!! lol. I start eating on UD at about 6:30 a.m. for breakfast and usually eat my last meal around 6 pm. So I have a twelve hour open window. I am comfortable with this though as my DD window is 0-1 hours in about a 36 hour long DD period.

I recently figured this out... that my DD periods of time are much longer as they include the sleeping on both ends.

WOW! Kisha, what a great thread mod you are--you have really got your thread rockin' and rollin' with lots of posts! You-all have only been at it for a day and I just noticed your numbers. WAY TO GO! You will reach the magic 1,000 posts in no time! Pretty soon you will be giving the HCG folks a run for their money--or maybe even the Dating Forum.

OK, Tweakers, I am reporting in and have had a very good low carb UpDay--went just as I planned. And looking forward to a good DD tomorrow. And I have been drinking and drinking and drinking water water water.

We are expecting severe storms here later this evening/tonight and may lose our power for awhile. Since we are rural and our place is the last one on the line , we have had it out for 2-3 days at a time. A PITA for sure, but we always manage well (reading by oil lamp really makes you appreciate electricity! )

If I dont turn up for a day or two, you will know what happened. (With Dasiey gone for the weekend, I guess I dont have to worry about anyone leading you-all astray. ) (Hmmm, someone needs to keep an eye on Mel, though... )

Wow, I guess you could say today is my first Up Day....this usually doesn't happen but I have been eating soooo much today and still hungry....geeesh!

Soooo, tommorrow is going to be my first down day/fast five..lol. I know it's going to be hard. I am going to do 500 calories in the form of a fage yogurt w/ peanut butter and then an egg cream. That's it. I don't use cream or anything in my coffee besides stevia.

We are going camping this weekend and I think that will help keep me occupied....lol.

Well, I will check in with you ladies in the morning.

Michelle, I hope it works for you. I may add Fast Five to my plan too. When I did the combo before, it was not so hard once I got used to it.

Have fun camping, you lucky thing!

Hey Michelle - welcome to JUDDD. It combines very well with fast5. Just add in the calorie restriction every other day. It's tough but it does get rid of those last 10 pesky pounds!

It's pouring and thundering and lightning here. Darn wanted to go jogging. Maybe later.

DD for me. Nothing but coffee so far. Will have a small fast1 tonight - just a small turkey patty. Not hungry yet as I overate yesterday on UD.

So who has fun plans for the weekend? Not me boring here - going to read, eat, and sleep - maybe watch a movie. Blah I should have joined the circus with Daisey!

Hey guys!! - Well, I am on my first DD and I haven't eaten yet and really not all that hungry. Now, I did eat ALOT yesterday so that could explain it. I am going to like this. I really got some good results with Fast Five, so I have high hopes for JUDDD.

I am going to do M,W,F as DD's and S, T, TH as UP's. Sunday is going to be a moderate day and I eat the same thing EVERY single Sunday and it's always a FAST FIVE day. So, that should be good. All the DD's fall on days when I have after school activies with DS, so I will be busy and it will take my mind off eating. I think this is going to fit in perfectly with my life. Woo hoo!!

Thanks for all the words of encouragment. The results will speak for themselves.

We are off to camping when I get off work.

This is so key for me. DD that are work days followed by lots of evening activity are SO MUCH EASIER than DD spent all day at home! Your plan sounds awesome.

Have fun camping! I'm sorta jealous...

I think my camping days are over. I love a day outdoors, in the mountains, at the beach, hiking or exploring but come nightime I want a luxury hotel suite, hot showers, hot tub, room service, 400 thread count sheets ... Guess that's why I never go anywhere - can't afford myself!

SS - great job on the DD so far! My kids have their first dance class, so we are gearing up for that. Then we are off to a friend's house for dinner. Sunday we will do something outside as it is going to be sunny and warm (and by warm I mean 8 degrees Celsius) .

Michelle - sounds like a great plan. I bet those last few pounds melt away.

So last Friday I had that weight jump after increasing my calories (upon realizing that I should have increased them ages ago when I reached goal and started maintenance Anyway, after getting some great advice I increased my DD cals this week to 50% (DD's 750, usually between 300-500). And I upped my UD cals as well, by 200 cals. I weighed today and am 115. Go figure! Anyway, I haven't had my two UD's in a row (today and tomorrow) so I am not sure what will happen, but I am pleased that I was able to increase cals this week and I haven't seen a huge gain yet. I say yet, as I take it all with a grain of salt (grain, not gain heh heh) and am fully aware that the big jump could still happen. But, I have a feeling I am not hypothyroid if I was able to lose 2 pounds while increasing my cals. Time will tell...

UD for me today and it is a junky one! I have had my coffee, an orange, a slice of pepperoni pizza, 260 calories worth of sour gummy bears. DH just called and he wants McDonalds! Not sure if I will have that yet or not. We have it once in a blue moon so I will play it by ear.

Have a great one!

this reminds me of something a dear friend said when I invited her to go camping with me. "I dont camp" sez she...."to me, roughing it is staying at a Holiday Inn where my room doesnt have a 31 iinch HDTV."

hey ss, I think the two of you would really hit if off! (And she's originally from PA, too!)

Well Maizen I'm originally a Connecticut Yankee (hence a big Red Sox fan as well as a Phillies fan - home openers start this weekend yeah!) but your friend sounds like my type of gal!

The weather cleared. I got in my 4 mile jog in the nature park - the geese and ducks were celebrating the rain splashing and bathing in the puddles and honking and quacking. I walked within inches of them and they totally ignored me they were so intent on their fun. I couldn't wipe the smile off my face and completed my run grinning like a lunatic - hope I didn't scare anyone as I went by. And to think I didn't feel like running when I headed out the door.

DD is going great today. No hunger at all and a happy spirit. Maybe I need to totally pig out like I did yesterday on UD (damn cream cheese) more often.

Keep smiling everybody!
