newbie here wanting help

hi all
just joined today on my second week of low carb already weight now starting to come off. The question being my husbands health whats the amount of carbs a day for someone whos 16.7 stone in weight and 5ft ten who has angina emphysema and very low mobility hes also on oxygen. 3hrs a day. he needs to get some weight off for his state of health. thanks He also would like me to ask you can he have a beer on this diet lol . thanks guys deb

What lowcarb plan are you following? Cuz your DH shouldn't be doing this without a doctor (and that includes a doctor's book, lol). How about getting a copy of Protein Power by Dr.s Michael and Mary Dan Eades. It outlines how many carbs (has an equation) and how much food per meal, etc. Um...many of the guys who've successfully lost well over 100 lbs. miss their beer for awhile (hey..it's still going to be available...just like chocolate).
