Yeast problem
I have an issue and hope someone can help me out here.
For years I have had flaky scalp, I mean like FLAKY. I have used OTC shampoos, prescribed stuff, nothing works for too long. Now, even when I get out of the shower, my hair is still wet and I can see the thick white flakes on my scalp. It just hit me today I remember something a while back about yeast, don't remember much about it, just hoping I can get some opinions. TIA! |

I have a very bad scalp also..
I put coconut oil on my scalp an hour before i shampoo and condition my hair.. in just 2 treatments like this, it was totally gone.. coconut oil is my snake oil. and is great externally and internally for yeast overgrowth. |

ooh let me give you a small warnign though..
when taking coconut oil internally, with any kind of bacterial or yeast overgrowth there tends to be "die-off" conditions, that may give you an upset stomach, flu like simptoms, maybe even a mild fever. Start with a small dose (maybe 2 teaspoons to a tablespoon) and every 3-5 days increase untill you are up to 3 tablespoons a day. I advise if you do take the coconut oil internally and you know you have a yeast overgrowth, take it when you know you are going to be home, like plan it on a day you are off from work, and stay home cause you will deff have to go to the bathroom. Just remember it might make you feel more sick before you get better.

I bought coconut oil expecting it to be all smoke and mirrors. It's not. It works.
Being a very bad diabetic, I am prone to yeast infections all over the place most of the time. I have been using 3 Tablespoons a day for about a month and all I can tell you is WOW. No more yeast infections at all.. anywhere. I've also started using it on my skin. It's typical of diabetics to have really dry horrible cracking skin. My arms and legs are now silky soft. I use it to remove makeup and to cleanse, and to moisturize my face. There is a lot of improvement. Particularly I've noticed that any blackheads are lifted out by daily use, and the pores return to normal. Give it a try. It's not going to disappoint you.

Wow, thanks guys. I will definitely try it.
Now, I don't get yeast infections, it's been a few years. Is that a sign it could be a yeast issue? I just have no clue what is wrong with my scalp and I've been this way FOREVER! It's defintely worth a shot |

Diabetics can get yeast infections anywhere our skin overlaps; armpits, under the breasts, under a pannus, where your legs join the trunk, inside of the elbow, etc. I've never had the type of yeast infection most people think of, but I use a topical medication almost daily to ward off the "crease" infections.
My little niece has exczema that mainly shows up on her scalp, my sister has an awful time trying to control it. |
