My Doc is now doing some cosmetic procedures. I am at a normal weight and BMI but after losing the weight find I have some fat pockets remaining in the thighs and butt. He says I am the perfect candidate for this, which is a series of shots directly into the fat pockets to break them down.

Has anyone here done Mesotherapy or know of someone who did it? I am curious.

I did in the past on my arms. And found it really didnt work as well as I wanted. I think lifting weights or cardio is more effective. While I was getting Mesotherapy on my arms my friend was getting it done on her tummy, she did get pretty good results so maybe its one of those everyone has a different reaction to the shots. Also for about a week after you go in for a session there is some bruising and swelling. I sort of wish I saved my money and did lipo instead. Just my opinion, hope this helps.

They say Lipo is actually worse for cellulite. So I decided this is worth trying for me. I had my first treatment Wed. Oh, the price of vanity, lol!

Got 50 shots! My thighs recieved the fat disolver and my butt and back of my legs got the cellulite treatment. The shots really didn't hurt much. However, my butt feels as if I ran thru a swarm of angry bees nekkid...

My thighs are huge and black and blue. Doc says he won't let me down. Says I will be his poster child when he is finished. 7 more treatments to go.

How often do you do the treatments? And, how expensive are they?

The Doc took pics. I had to sign a consent form for advertisment purposes. Just what I want to see--my butt on a brochure, lol! But no one will know it is me and that is if they decide to use them.

Supposed to get the treatmeants every week but it depends of the swelling... Maybe have to do it every 10 days.

The cost is $1000 for 6 treatments but I have to have 8 so it will be a bit more. Capitol One has interest free finaancing for this for 1 year.

I will definatly report progress here.

It would be scary to have your butt in a brochure....but what if he puts it on a BILLBOARD!?!?!?!?

By the way, $1000 is less than lipo. Maybe it will work, and you can save some dough!

oh this is exciting news to hear......... I know I will never be able to afford lipo but something like this I can save money for!!! I so hope it works for you! And please post your results............. this is my biggest fear of the droppy skin after weightloss and if it works I think my fears will ease a bit!!!!!!!!!

Update: Still pretty black and blue in the thighs but the cellulite treatment for the butt is all healed. Called Doc about the thighs and he said that is exactly what should happen. But, had to cancel the Wed appt and set it for next Mon. Cellulite is improved!

Thighs still fat.

Just one day later and a friend I have known for life saw me for the first time since I lost weight. She has seen me thin before... But she said "Wow, your legs have never looked better"! WHOHOO! She didn't know I had anything done! The bruising is very faint now and the result is OMG already! For the first time I looked at myself as a thin person. I want to cry. Mr. TT (lol) also noticed today and said the back of my legs looks really good now. And he was against this! So happy~doing the happy dance already! Onward to treatment #2 with joy.

When finished I will post before and afters of my thighs.

It has now been 7 days since the first treatment. Saw an old friend yesterday who hasn't seen me in a while. But she has known me forever and seen me fat, thin and fat again... She said yesterday that my legs have never looked better! (Wearing short shorts) She had no idea I was having work done. Then later Mr. TT commented that he can see it IS working and how different the back of my legs look already!

I am delighted! They can use me for a pin cushion for all I care, lol! I can't wait to go back!

Oh, I'm very excited to hear about further good results. I have the same problems as you but I would not consider lipo, so this sounds like a possibly good alternative. I sooo would like to look half-way decent in swimsuit. Keep posting. Thanks!

Treatment # 2 completed today. Results are pretty impressive if I do say so myself. I have lost 2.5 inches per thigh and 1 inch from the butt from the 1st treatment!

Sure. It is Dr. Cozzilino in Wesley Chapel. It is a Florida Medical Clinic.

I didn't scare you off? lol Bout scared ME off. Had a rough night since it seemed like I slept on a pin cushion. Oh wait, I am the pin cushion!

No, seriously, I think the treatments are well worth the cost and are very effective. I look forward to looking good in a bathing suit this year...Even if I do have to suffer somewhat. At least it's working!

Yes, thank you. Seems to only hurt for a couple of days afterwards. They reversed the treatment last time, doing the fat buster in my butt and the cellulite treatment in my thighs. My butt didn't bruise as badly as the previous thigh treatment. Can't really see much results this time but then again, how often do I really look at my butt anyways, lol?

Next treatment is Tues, April 17th. I'll post then.

I am back from meso. WOW. The shots never really hurt too much previously but this time they hurt bad. I actually cried a little while they were doing them. The areas are still tender from the last tenderizing session. They did tell me each time would hurt a bit more but I had no idea.

I had no new measurement results but my Doc, the nurse and my DH say the cellulite improved and the skin looks firmer.

Will continue updating.

I took Percocet last night before bed. Most of the pain is still gone and I had a good night. Next appt. my DH will drive me to and I will take Percocet before I go. Don't know why they don't prescribe painkillers there but I have these anyway and the Doc said they are OK.

No, lipo would have been preferred. The pain is getting worse each treatment. Lipo, although more expensive, would have done it all at once. I am considering not continuing...

Really? I'm sorry that it is turning out to be a bad experience. I hope the results are good since you are going through so much pain. I know I'd rather pay more money to avoid extra pain.

Guess what? Today I can really see a big difference in the front thigh area. I guess the swelling is down and now I can see it.

Show me results and I go running back for more, lol.

Next appt is May 1st. I am taking Percocet BEFORE I go and having DH drive me. Yes, it is painful. Yes I will finish them. Yes I will be rid of my thunder thighs once and for all.

Don't mind me...Pain makes me wishy-washy... I will continue on.
