HCG & Adrenal Fatigue Syndrome
Hi all!
I am wanting to open and intelligent and informative thread concerning adrenal fatigue and how hcg effects those who have this condition. I believe that many things are to be learned from those who have travelled this path and those who are on it now. So please do share your knowledge, experiences, struggles and victories! In starting... I am heading to specialist Monday to confirm that I in fact have this. In fact I believe I have suffered from this for almost 16 years and was misdiagnosed grossly. It wasn't until recently and my first attempt with hcg that I found out that "something else" was wrong. After much changes and research, I have found that this fits my condition to a "t" and now i want to learn how to heal. What is your experience?

I am really glad that you posted this! It's nice to have people to share information with. My doctor told me that I am at stage 2/3 adrenal fatigue/exhaustion. My cortisol levels are completely out of whack. I've done numerous tests so far to include saliva testing, stool testing and have another one I have to do here soon. It's not cheap I'll tell you that
![]() I've started taking some supplements but that is only the tip of the iceberg I think. Work in progress... I just wanted to chime in to say that you're not alone - I'll be back later with more info. I'm going to go close on my house in a little bit. Yay!

Hi Misslatte! Welcome! Per my research I believe that I am at the same stage mark as you are. Given that, I feel for you greatly! I know for me, I feel like I am just a couple steps from a crash, which I have many of them given the days events. So maybe a better word would be collapse.
And I don't say that loosely by any means. I did have a full blown adrenal collapse that lasted 3 years. I was mostly bedridden from 2000 to 2003. But I was diagnosed with FM and CFS and no mention of AF. However, through the years it has come up but nothing looked at realistically until now. This past 2 yrs has been unusually high with trauma and stress that I have had no choice but to push through. And at the same time I have been on a serious journey of discovering healing methods for me to restore my health...thus HCG shows up. However, like I said, there was "something" that was hindering my dieting abilities and I couldn't pin point it. Cravings were crazy, no sleep etc. So one day I saw that FATIGUE causes cravings. WHAT??!!! I LIVE with fatigue... Chronic Fatigue Syndrome! So I decided to begin weaning myself off of the heavy hitter pain and stimulant pills. After going through withdrawals from the strongest I realized that I was being over medicated! I felt wonderful but still very fatigued. The brain fog ect was gone. So my journey continues. I will be going through the test you mentioned Monday and I am sure this is it. And it is exciting bc I believe it is curable over time. That is better than what I have been living with of the incurable CFS and FM. I am not saying that I don't have them, but I don't think they are as debilitating as I thought. Good luck to everyone working their way through this journey of healing! |

I have been battling Lyme and the co-infections for two years. It is very similar to CFS, (some people diagnosed with CFS actually have Lyme), and fibro. Testing shows adrenal fatigue also.
I take isocort and several adrenal support supplements. I try to get accurate testing as I can afford it, because I like to deal in facts, and then make a game plan. My body has been beat up from fighting this disease, but at least I can give it some support! Hope you make progress. Red |

Thank you Red for sharing. I am sorry to hear that you have Lyme Disease. Is there a cure for that? I thought it was a long process but curable..I am not sure though.
Could you tell me what the adrenal support supplements are that you are taking? MissLatte.... did all go well with your house closing? |

Hi Shelle - thanks for asking! Closing went well and I've got everything moved to the house and probably around 70% unpacked. I have a bit left in the kitchen and the office is a disaster so I'll tackle that next.
This is what is included in my 'Support Adrenals' supplement - please note that I am not a doctor, yadda yadda. Vitamin C Thiamine Riboflavin Niacin B6 Folate B12 Biotin Pantothenic Acid Zinc Copper PABA Choline Bitartrate Eleuthero Root Inositol Lemon Bioflavonoid Complex Hesperidin Complex Naringin Rosemary Leaf extract Rutin DHEA Pregnenolone I also take Phosphatidylserine (PS) 2 hours before bedtime and right at bedtime. Still working on figuring out what is wrong - my doctor said that my body 'should' start getting used to the supplements and figure out where it 'should be' so he told me to stop taking the PS cold turkey and see what happens. I crashed bigtime. So back on it again and was waiting for the house stuff to go through before I go back for my next 400ish dollar lab. OUCH!! What are you all taking that has helped - if any? |

Hello Shelle,
If I may bump into your conversation. I have been struggling with some exhaustion and I haven't had any tests yet. I did well on hcg both in homeopathic and in the hormone injections for a while and then I just could not get back on board I've gained a good 25 lbs over the past year and I really want to get back on track and get this horrific weight off. Any input from you would be awesome. THANKS, Adeline |

Ive been off of doing rounds for maybe a year now, because I haven't had the courage to try again. My last round I jumped off into a binge and my hormones went nuts. I felt like I was an insane PMS person and I don't even get a period any more and haven't in years.

I know that too much sugar can cause candida yeast infections in us and we need detoxed from that. I think any hormonal issues we may already have is very aggrevated by not only sugar and starches but even wheat products can be a culprit. I would imagine that the small amts of food we are eating on the protocol is excellent for our body bc it just simplifies everything tremendously. And I know for me, I will be SLOWLY introducing things back in when I am done with the weight loss so that I can gauge what works against me body. So really it is exciting to be learning so much about our body and how to move forward healthy and happy! Again welcome and please share, share, share! We are all learning from each other! |

Well, my official update is that I apparently do have a severe case of AF. I have the saliva test to do on Monday. Also they are checking me for another "bacteria/virus" that is located "within" the cell wall and is linked to others that have RA. I am also being tested for thyroid dysfunction and Lupus.
I am praying for it to just be AF bc I believe that I can heal properly from that with changes in my life. I would love to see some heavy hitters on our forum to join this conversation as well. They are a boatload of knowledge and can relate it to HCG and the resetting of the hypothalamus gland. I am very interested in that! |

They said that it could take up to 4 weeks! I think that is incredible. Maybe I will call in 2 to see if the saliva one is completed yet.
But from what I understand, Dawn, this is diagnosed by symptoms and not as much by actual testing due to the substantial fluctuations of the adrenals throughout the course of the day. I am wanting to learn about cortisol and its role too. I believe it is right there in the mix of it all. Last edited by Shelle135; 06-18-2013 at 11:23 AM.. |
