Help!! how do i stop HCG?
I have been on and off of hcg for almost a year now. My first round i did well, i started at 145 lbs and finished at 133 lbs. I messed up in phase 3 and gained 10 lbs back. So i did another round and it was unsuccessful, i had major cravings and i did not know why I was Bing eating like crazy. I stopped and started hcg again. i did so many rounds after that i don't even remember, but was never able to get past the load days. I would load for days and then stop the diet on the first vlcd, I could not stand the hunger anymore ( I thought about eating so much that I always felt hungry). I got depressed and started eating even more and giving into all my cravings. now im 160 lbs and rising, I have gained all the weight back and more, I have never been above 145 in my life, I started working out but still cant stop the binging, i think its the depression now. Before I did hcg I was exercising a lot and I was very much in shape, but I wanted to be smaller too. I should not have touched this stuff, its not for me, I know now. I know hcg is out of your system after 3 days, but there are still the phases, I want to go back to exercise and do it the way I did before hcg. Is there anyway I can stop the process of the phases, like the whole resetting thing. I don't want to be resetting at this weight. I'm 5,3 160 lbs now and my measurements are 42-30-42 a big difference from what I used to be.
i was doing real HCG the homeopathic gonadotropin 6x, 12x, 30x and 60x.Last edited by chelsea25; 05-18-2013 at 01:27 PM.. |

I have not tried hCg yet. I am here to learn. Thank you for posting this. I see how many people responded to your post! LOL - This is good information. It could mean a few things. Perhaps this is not the diet for you. Perhaps your body does not respond to hCg the same way other people have. Have you been pregnant? How was your pregnancy? Hormonal changes in the 1st trimester? I would log all of these facts and take them to your doctor. Are you going through a doctor to get your hCg? Or ordering it directly yourself? Perhaps the hCg you are getting is bogus? I am interested in finding out... But, if I were you, I would not continue on this cycle. Go to a tracker site and just keep to 1200 calories per day (or whatever their recommemondation is along with your doctor's opinion) to keep you sane while you find the answers to allof these questions. I'd be curious. I think you will find something that works for you. If this as not controlling your hunger, perhaps you needed to increase your dose to the max of 250, if you weren't already doing that. I don't know!? I have NO EXPERIENCE with this diet... Again, I am just learning. What I have stated is only the obvious. Good Luck! ~ Dana

Thank you for the reply, I appreciate it
the weight came back and fast, I was not this bad before hcg diet, I was already eating 500 cal before it and that's why I did the hcg diet. I found I was more hungry with it for weeks. I've gained so much weight back It did something to my metabolism or something, I cant stop eating lots of carbs and fatty foods and im depressed over it which is also not helping.I had 3 babies, I showed fast but even then I never was bigger than 145. I did not get too much morning sickness until second trimester. what I really want to do is go back to eating healthy foods that are not on the protocol and exercise to lose weight. am I stuck fighting this reset thing forever?! if i diet and exercise without hcg i have more of a chance of gaining more weight than losing. when will I be able to do a normal diet and exercise again?!! Good luck with everything! Last edited by chelsea25; 05-18-2013 at 09:53 PM.. |

I would guess because the hcg protocol is a hormonal program, not just a "regular" diet, cheating/binging on this will cause weight gains. I'm not sure what to tell you how to get it back off now. In fact, if you read anything on the history of hcg and what it was used for, some places used it to keep weight ON people when they suffer from too quick of weight loss (like aids patients in earlier days) because it is able to make you gain when you eat very low calories. That's in my humble opinion what is causing you problems.
Is there ANY chance you could go on the hcg and stick to 500 calories without any binging for at least a minimum cycle of 21 VLC days? I would not recommend staying on it if you can't. But I don't know how to help you, as I am not a doctor and I don't play on one tv either. (((HUGS))) to you and I hope you find some answers.

If you are on Rx, it sounds like dosage was maybe too high if you had cravings? I think i would try a 3 week P3 to "get off" HCG just to stabilize hormonally if u cannot tolerate the 21 days. ![]() |

The more I read and learn on these forums, the more I think it's so important for people to be specific about what they mean by "on hcg." There is RX HCG, which Robin Woodall rightly called a hormonal program. It has been clinically tested and shown to reveal more fat loss (vs. lean muscle) than a 500 calorie diet alone.
There is homeopathic HCG w/ the 500 calorie diet, which has minute amounts of the actual hormone and which has never been studied in clinical trials, but clearly causes people to lose weight. That said, many homeopathic experts have pointed out the hHCG doesn't really follow homeopathic principles of "like cures like," (giving a bit of something that causes poison ivy to "cure" poison ivy) and is actually more in a way that's the opposite of homeopathy. So how does it work? Does it stay off the same way? For some people, yes/maybe/anecdotally. But how? We have no idea. And THEN there is "hormone-free" "HCG," which in my opinion doesn't have any business calling itself HCG in the first place, and which also has no basis in clinical trials. They consist of various appetite suppressants and supplements (as do many homeopathic preparations that DO contain trace HCG.) With so many people doing so many programs all under the guise of "HCG," but posting the same advice to all... I just worry that people really need to be informed and do their homework... or at least keep the caveat in mind that all HCG is not the same.

I neglected to specify that "hormone free" "HCG" has no HCG in it. Which is why I feel it's completely false advertising. Some claim, and claim is the important word, to have some synthetic copy of HCG, but skeptics say there is no such thing. And since these products are not sold as drugs, they can claim whatever they want. Just sayin'.

Don't be so hard on yourself!

I wish! haha Oh... you are lucky. NO, seriously. What if you are close to your goal? Unless you are like 3 foot 5 inches? I agree you need to "reset". May be worth the $$ to step into that doctor's office and learn just how to do that. I wish you the best!!! ~ Chef DMC |
