Back from a planned interruption
Hey guys! It is good to be back! As many of you know, I was going to take a 2-4 day interruption while my parents and nephew came to visit from out of town. I did NOT plan on sticking to P3 foods while they were here, but I was going to for the first 2 days when I was cycling off of the HCG before they were suppose to arrive. Well that ended up being made into a week long visit. I was informed last minute and couldn't even stick to the VLCD for the 2 days that is required when you are getting off of the HCG.
My parents and 7 year old nephew called the shots for all meals for everyone. It was much easier to go with the flow than to argue with them. The past week has been FULL of unhealthy foods, including but not limited to: Donuts Pizza Cookies Cake Ice cream Burgers with condiments and the bun Chinese food Mexican food Soda Homemade country meals (cornbread, dumplings, etc...) and so on. I weighed myself at 119.2 (I think I was starting a stall because that was the second day in a row at that weight) and this was before the first "cheat" and then I weighed myself again this morning.... .... .... .... .... .... .... .... .... I was 122.1 this morning. Today is my first day back on protocol. I will stick to it for 3+ weeks (until I run out of HCG which will probably be closer to 4-6 weeks) before transitioning correctly to P3 and P4. I am very, very, very happy with the minimum weight gain. I knew that it would go up because of eating so many "forbidden" foods, but I never expected to only go up 2.9 lbs after eating that way. I can truly say that my body does not freak out to starch and carbs the way that it once did and I feel like it is due to the HCG diet. I couldn't be more thrilled with my results so far! |

How awesome is that!!! HCG really does heal the metabolism.
I'm sure you're so relieved now that you've finally seen the number -- heck, that's less than most people gain loading! ![]() |

Your experience is making me feel more confident about calling a PI for this weekend's travel. Now I just have to surmount my fear of two VLCDs without hHCG

Just fyi, not gaining on a PI is not typical. Some people gain quite a bit (one lady gained 23 pounds in 5 days, I think?), some don't. It's absolutely great that the OP didn't but just be aware that YMMV for sure on this one!

@JGR - still impressive PI results though - i certainly would not be brave enough to try and duplicate - it is like a week long reload! |

Yes ma'am! I have data to look back at, from a PI that I did during a round in 2010, also for a BBQ trip. We were attending an event where food was provided, pizza was involved, and I came back all of one pound heavier. I hope all goes as well this time!

------------------------------------------ I have not weighed in yet today because of how early it is - I normally weigh in between 10am and noon, but when I weighed myself yesterday I had lost another 1.5 lbs. ![]() I had veal for the first time (since starting HCG) yesterday. I made it with spicy diced tomatoes on top and a side salad with ACV for dressing. I am hoping it does not stall me/make me gain. Tomatoes are very iffy for me already, so adding in the veal really makes me worried. I also made enough to have some for lunch today. It was so good. It reminded me of an unbreaded spicy Veal Parmesan without the cheese. My husband is doing a version of the ketogenic diet, so I made him the same thing but with spicy marinara sauce added to the tomatoes, 2 slices of provolone cheese, and I fried his veal in olive oil before baking it. He skipped the side salad to help with the carbs. He weighs in around 5am daily (he leaves for work early in the morning -I get up with him to tell him goodbye and go back to bed, LOL) and it did not stall him at all. In fact, he lost over a pound after eating it! He is also having his leftovers for lunch today and is already asking when I will make it again. He claimed after the first bite that it was better than any veal dish he has ordered at a restaurant, so that made me happy. My husband is not one to lie about my cooking, he has never had an issue telling me when something has sucked, and that is quite often! haha. Going back to bed. I just wanted to give an update since I forgot to report my weight loss yesterday. |
