continuing to exercise on hcg
Today is day 1 of loading for me. I have done this diet once before using the same brand of drops in the past with great results. I'm only looking to lose 10 lbs from this round. I've read you should not do vigorous exercise at all on this diet but have also read it was ok if you were already routinely exercising. So which is true? I have been very active for over a year now and try to workout 5 days a week. I run about 15 miles a week, crossfit 2 days, hiking and biking as a family on weekends and I don't want to stop for this diet. I've looked into the 800 calorie protocol but would like to hear other's experiences and recommendations, thanks.

I agree with Sleepy on this one. I exercised through all of my rounds. Generally speaking I didn't do heavy lifting, but continued cardio and bodyweight exercises like pushups and situps. There is no specific prohibition in P&I about exercise other than a caution that unusual exercise (i.e. stuff your body isn't used to) might make you retain water on the scale. I would say continue as you are and if you feel yourself fading a bit, cut it back to a more manageable level.

I'd suggest you listen to your body. If you can maintain your current routine and still feel good, try it! I am trying to keep some exercise in this round, walking w/ some HITT cardio, light weights, to see if it prevents the 5lb gain I always have when adding it in P3.
Most scale it back. You're only eating 500 calories afterall. |

When I first started I could NOT continue on my normal exercise routine. I just walked----every day only for 20 mins or so and not at a fast pace. Rain or shine. I was out every day because I noticed better losses when I got a bit of movement versus being a slug. I so wish I could be a slug while on P2, but alas, I need to move some. |

I have a fitbit and use it to count my steps and lost daily with no issues on p2.
