Up 0.9 lbs today, putting me at 0.7 over LDW. About 1700 calories yesterday, 92 protein grams, 57% fat, 72 net carbs. About 500 calories of that was LATE... cos I realized my calories were very low so my "snack" was some leftover chicken with roasted garlic-chili aioli and then blueberries with cream. Probably shouldn't have bothered, but oh well... Onto my 2nd week of P3 today!

I'm down .8 below my ldw. Not trying to lose but I think the super clean eating and the exercise I'm getting working on my property for hours a day is making a difference and a calorie deficit. I was very surprised to see such a big drop to say the least I'll take it though. I'm going to add in some hwc with cocoa and stevia combo today to up the cals a bit.

I made the fudgy coconut almond butter bars! So good. I didn't add protein powder just a tablespoon of almond flour and I made my own almond butter, I had to add some coconut oil to the almonds to get it to turn into butter. I don't have a food processor I used a blender that's probably why it wouldn't turn to butter without the oil.

I've been snacking all day(cashews and macadamias :/). I made a little salad with blue cheese, Bacon bits and gorgonzola cheese. I know I need to stop snacking and eat a real meal. I have a dress fitting tomorrow. I really would like to be at or below my ldw. Today I'm .8 over ldw. I need to get it together today lol.

Hi Talia !! I'm Barbara ! and I also agree without these forums & being able to post & be accountable I probably would of given up a long time ago.

2 weeks left for me & I'll be back in P3. Today I got to 129.8 below my pre-loading weight of 130. P2 is hard but it's more of a mental challenge than real hunger. I'm focused to get there so I can get this over & done with.

You can get there Talia !! I began losing weight last Dec 2011 at 248 lbs when my Dr. told me I was pre-diabetic and put me on 3 medications. After losing 4 lbs in a month I took this weight loss seriously and in Jan 2012 at 244 I got my act together and never stopped. I never ever thought I could get to where I am now. I had been thin when I was a teenager & then gained weight when I got married at 21 and got thin for about 4 years but then the weight slowly creeped up. By 33 I was 214 when I had my son, several miscarriages & other surgeries and lots of bad habits & 248 by age 42. I turn 44 next Sunday & I can't believe I'll be in the 120's again when it's literally been 20 years

Pandora, what an awesome birthday gift to yourself! The gift of health

Scale is below my ldw, up from yesterday, which I think was maybe just a fluke. dunno. Planning an on plan day today but have a meetup date tonight so not sure how that's gonna go. I won't be drinking because I am meeting him there and driving but it is a mexican place, so chips will be prominant but we'll see. I'm not too worried about going crazy off track this time. The stabilizing process this time for me is so different than the other times I've done the hhcg. I'm totally in the groove and if I have something a little off track, no biggy and don't overdue, watch my calories with so far, no big penalties. I think the last time I did p3 I was in correction day mode by day 3 so it's nice to be this far along (starting day 11 of p3) and going along just fine. I'm having my normal lunch and maybe I'll just keep the mindset that eating chips and salsa isn't that attractive on a first date thing in my head I dunno. If he's a drag it might be my saving grace I can drop salsa on my outfit and have to leave! How's that for a quick way out??

Little frustrating to be 2.6 over my LDW... hopefully it's water retention due to staff lunch at the pub and sodium in the ham, corned beef, etc. Not going to freak out but, it's still frustrating to see the scale going up all week for no reason.

Avy Ham can easily make me go up 5 pounds overnight from water retention!!! I haven't dared have it because i know it does that and I'm not doing correction days!

I was up this morning to 3.4 over LDW. I gained 1.8 pounds overnight.

So today was a steak day. I sure hope this works. Obviously, I am not doing Phase 3 very well at all.

Tomorrow is another day - will be trying again. I really hope I get back down into range. Does anyone know what you are supposed to do if the steak day doesn't work?

Just got back from vacation and finished day 2 of loading. Starting R2P2VLCD1 tomorrow! Not sure how long I'm going to do P2. NOT another 40 days, though. I was so good on vacation until three or four days ago and then, the fecal matter hit the rotary oscillator and I wound up in a binge today. I am hating myself right now but will get over it. Weighing in tomorrow and will just get back on track. I'll be over at P2 mostly but will read here tonight to catch up on how everyone is doing!

Yes, down a lb over night, even though we went to bed at almost 3... I bet with a good night's sleep it would have been an even bigger loss lol. Also, trying the "eat to hunger route" and no more, no less. Seems to agree with me.

Down below my ldw by .6 today!~ I'll take it. I'm surprised actually but the walking and the calories must be in sync. My meetup was uneventful and I didn't have any chips but I did have some nibbles on other carby items. I drank plenty of club soda with that and maybe that helped? Had a runin with some chocolate chips with my ' why am I home so early on a Saturday night' pity party for one....it's all good. I anticipated the possiblity of a food issue at the restaurant so ate a very healthy, lean lunch and made sure I had 20K steps in before leaving, probably the combo of the two kept things in balance. Loving p3 this time! I'm on day 12 now

After my steak day, I was still 2.4 above my LDW, so today I ate P2 foods and if I am still up tomorrow, I guess I can do another steak day.

Today I had lettuce, tomato, chicken, garlic, seasoning, homemade dressing with gy and mayo. I also had a spinach strawberry smoothie. So p2 I guess with some fat added in.

We'll see. I think the thing I did that caused the weight gain was to add in cheese too quickly. This has scared me off of it for a while!

Would anyone like me to share a crazy P4 treat recipe I created today? It's actually P3 friendly depending on the sweetener you use and your stance on cashews.

I could put it in a recipe thread instead, if you think it would be more appropriate.

Thoughts?

This is an original recipe and I posted it on my blog. I don't want to get in trouble for linking here. I am just copying the recipe here as well as my own photo.

Quote:
I don’t usually post recipes on my blog, but this was such a hit on my instagram I thought I should share. There is a popular Canadian treat called a Nanaimo bar, wikipedia has a whole page dedicated to it here.

Traditional Nanaimo bars are insanely sweet sugar bombs. They are delicious, but I can’t have them any more due to multiple problematic ingredients. I’ve been developing this recipe in my head for a while. Today, I decided to give it a shot. I’m happy to say my first attempt is nearly perfect. My only complaint is that the bottom layer could be a bit more moist. That is nit-picking though, the bars were excellent as is.

This is a no-bake recipe. Since it uses a lot of coconut oil, it’s best kept in the freezer as coconut oil gets all oozy at room temperature.

I made mine in a loaf pan lined with plastic wrap for easy removal.

Base:
1 cup coconut
4 tbsp cocoa
¼ cup almond meal
¼ cup coconut sugar or xylitol or granular sweetener of choice
¼ cup coconut oil (melted)

Middle:
1 ½ cups cashews
2 tbsp coconut sugar or xylitol or granular sweetener of choice
3 tbsp coconut oil (melted)
2 tbsp vanilla protein powder (I used Sun Warrior Vegan Protein)

Top:
100 grams of dark chocolate (I used 85%)
1 tbsp coconut oil (melt)

Starting with the base layer, mix all the dry ingredients together. Mix in the melted coconut oil with a fork. Press this mixture in to the lined loaf pan. Put this in the freezer while you work on the middle layer.

In a food processor or high-powered blender, mix up all the middle layer ingredients. I did it in the Vitamix. If you don’t have a blender of food processor, you could use pre-made cashew butter. Pour this layer on top of the coconut layer and spread it evenly. Put this all back in the freezer and get started on the top layer.

Chop up your chocolate in to small pieced for easier melting. Melt it over low heat (double boiler if possible) with the coconut oil. Once it’s melted, pour it on top of the other two layers and make sure it’s evenly spread.

Put that bad boy in the freezer for 30 minutes.

After that, you can just pull the whole thing out and cut it in to smallish pieces. It’s very rich, so a little goes a long way. I recommend letting them sit a few minutes before you serve, if they have been sitting in your freezer…but they are also good frozen.

Enjoy!

here's a question ? This P2 round I have not been entering my foods in my food log. I realized as long as I am eating the allotted foods looking at the numbers & percentages is useless & causing me stress. Every other past round I always put everything in a tracker.

So in 2 weeks I go into P3. I am trying to not get caught up in the percentages & P3 is very stressful as it is. Has anyone done P3 without entering all their foods in a food log ? I'm not planning on being adventuresome & I'm eating what I know has worked for me in the past. I do have my old food logs to refer back to. Just wondering

Down .4 today to 2 pounds over LDW. I am planning to eat very clean today with P2 foods. I lost .4 doing this yesterday, and I would like to put a little space between steak days. How close do you usually do steak days?

Thanks

I'm .8 over my 2lb. Limit so a Greek yogurt correction day is the plan for me. Should I still have my tea and coffee today? Should I drink coconut water to help.with the water retention? This is my first cd. Tomorrow is the last day of p3.

Dons: I think a week between correction days. I know back to back correction days don't work. the weight loss won't stay off.
