Short round for those last 10 pounds? ???

I have been back and forth with this dilemma. With the losses slowed way down and beings I have been on this round almost 50 days, I am now leaning to giving it up for this round, doing maintenance, then back for another round to get those last 10 off.

Has anyone done that?

When you say "short round" do you mean less than 21 days? That I wouldn't do because I like to stick to protocol and Dr. S says you need to do 21 days minimum.

Well 50 days is a very long round so I guess anything less than that would seem short. As long as you do a minimum of 21 dosing days you will be fine. It is really important to do the full P3 and P4 on your last round tho.

By short round I do mean a 21 day round. I'm concerned about only needing to lose 10 pounds. I really wanted to get it off in one long round but it just isn't getting anywhere at the rate I am going now. I'm just wondering about others experiences in doing a round with only 10 pounds left to lose.

I have done 3 "goal" rounds to land me where I am today. Mostly going from ~155 to ~140 each time. The first two didn't really stick but that was my own fault. The third did. I did short'ish rounds for all of them and in a couple of cases got to goal "early." I increased calories per P&I after hitting goal. Lmk if you have more specific questions.

I put on 10lbs after my last round and I couldn't stomach the thought of another round of HCG so I switched to JUDDD. I lost 6lbs fairly quickly and only 4 to go - might keep going for some wiggle room - but I'm fairly happy with my progress - and the other benefits are just starting to kick in. So I highly recommend it if you really didn't want to do another round.

That's what I was going to suggest.

Honestly I am still going back and forth with this. I'm still getting nowhere fast. On my last round I ended on 126.4, did JUDD and lost 6 more. So maybe that is something to consider. I may just lose those last 10, I would be happy losing 6, doing JUDD. And then at least I could eat some food.

I've been on 3 rounds and no matter what, as soon as I was established in P4 the pounds would come creeping back. I hated the correction days and they stopped working. I couldn't stomach the thought of the diet on another round, (I still can't look at white fish or chicken breast) and just the social isolation of doing the protocol and I felt those last 10 pounds would just pile back on anyway.

Don't get me wrong, I think HCG is fantastic, and I would recommend it to anyone in an instant. But after a few rounds and with only the last bit to lose I think JUDDD is a good alternative. HCG is a very effective in the short-term and jUDDD for the last few lbs and long term maintenance, including the health benefits.

I was sceptical of JUDDD because I thought the only way I could lose was through HCG. But I lost the 6lbs very quicky and I'm just happy to plod along with the last 4lbs. Those 10lbs are stubborn, the body hangs on to them and I'm happy with the way things are going. It's about the 23rd day today and the effects of the SIRT1 are only just kicking in i.e. easier DD's and UD's, more controlled appetite, no PMS weight bloat or gain.

My DD's are 319 cal and the hunger is more of a head thing really, conditioned response like Pavlov's dogs. My UDS's are 1580 and seriously I have gone over every time by heaps (not junk though, good food, just too much and oh gosh apples/pears and greek yoghurt...mmmmm and a serious addiction to nuts. I've been annoyed with myself for going over, but I am still losing regardless. Now that the gene is kicking in, I'm more in control on the UD's and today's DD well it's tea time and I'm ok and I just plan what I'm going to eat tomorrow.

Seriously to eat like a queen every second day, it's really the easiest diet ever and it's very forgiving. If you overeat on the UD just work hard on DD and within 24 hours you feel great again. Just give it a chance though, I did do a bit of whining initially but now I'm sailing smooth.

I do sound like an infomercial for JUDDD but really I think it's just magical The buds on the JUDDD forum bounce in straight away to help with any problems/questions and they motivate me, there's a lot of support on these forums.

I'm giving up and stopping the drops today. At the rate I am going it will take a month to lose just 5 pounds. I too think doing another round to get the last 10 pounds off would not really stick. I am planning on doing JUDD. I did it before. I did maintenance for 6 weeks and my weight started creeping up so I started JUDD and got off 5 more pounds before my body stopped losing again. So I'm pretty sure I can get additional weight off with JUDD again. And I do like being about to eat pretty well for every other day.

I'm just not sure if I should start right out with JUDD but eating P3 foods, or if I should try the hcg maintenance. I really want to lose 10 more pounds so do I need to do the maintenance round? I like the sounds of having an automatic correction day every other day on JUDD.

Mojocat, do you have any suggestions ?

That's exactly where I ended... 10 lbs to go and I had had it with P2. You could do an up to 2 week long P3 style eating Planned Interruption as well. I opted to wait it out.

I'm not sure what you mean when you say you opted to wait it out?

i think maybe she means wait the 6 weeks of p3 and p4 and then start again rather than doing a planned interruption

Sheerymyra you could start a thread off over on JUDDD asking that question. I know some have started straight on with JUDDD in P3 and they can advise you. I came over well into P4 (mind you I never added sugar or carbs in P4 and the weight gain still crept) so I can't advise you.

If I was in your position I would do the 3 week P3 maintenance first and transition to JUDDD in P4. I'm a bit of a stickler for protocol and I know one has to eat in P3 supposedly to get the setpoint to stick. You will end up with a calorie deficit on JUDDD and I'm not sure if that would be a good thing in P3. Unless you did a higher JUDDD rotation for maintenance - and have higher DD's so you are just maintaining your new weight loss.

You are right though, another round, same pounds lost, same pounds gained. When we get to within 10lbs of our goal I believe calories do count and that's what JUDDD is really - eat a lot one day, eat little the next and over the week it averages out to a deficit without too much suffering.

I am just happy to jump on the scales and see them come down all the time despite eating a lot on my UD's and not feeling generally deprived. Later in maintenance you can up your DD's or do a MWF DD which some do.

Thanks everyone. I finally stopped the drops today. I am going to try maintenance and then switch over to JUDD.
