Starting P2 tomorrow and need a real whuppin'

Hey all -
I am starting P2 tomorrow. This will be my 6th or 7th try at hHCG - the first 3 were somewhat successful - I think I lost from 178 to 153 or something - but over the past year and a half (and a couple of really poorly done rounds that lasted about 3 days + lowcarbing+other half-a$$ed diet attempts) I have gained back ALL + MORE.
I am really sick of myself!
AND I am finding myself needing to be more and more visible in my professional life. As in needing to talk to people on TV, needing to do webinars, speeches, etc. And it is honestly holding me back to be so fat - I don't want to take these opportunities b/c of the way I look and that is plain silly.
I need to be a grown-up about this. And since HCG has worked for me, that's what I'm doing.
So - P2 tomorrow. I'm finishing loading tonight w/loaded broccoli and some Haagen Dazs (amazing how much more fat that stuff has than other ice creams) and am looking forward to releasing some of this FAT and also eating clean for a while.
I MUST do this. I am probably going to do a 21-25 day round this time since I have a trip the following week but I need to do it CLEAN. It needs to be successful. And then I need to do it again and again until I am no longer so fat.
If I was to come up with a goal it would be -45 by the time I'm 45, which is in November. That would put me in the low 140s, which I haven't seen since the early 90s. Jeez.
Anyway, I would love for you all to encourage me and also BERATE me if I show signs of going off plan. I'm going to try to post every day.

Gained 3 lbs loading. I am officially THE FATTEST I have been in my adult life except right after I had my son, who is now 13.
It's weird, pants from 20 lbs ago are fitting - but maybe they have too much stretch fabric in them?
Day 1 P2 WOOT! Hopefully I won't be too hungry. In the past it took a couple of days to totally lose the hunger.
I am hoping to drop 15-20 this round, but it's short, so I guess we'll see.

Oh - AND I am NOT DOING ANY ROGUE this time around. That's what screwed me up the times I tried this and was not successful. The first 2/3 successful rounds the only rogue thing I did was eat turkey and shirataki noodles, both of which are totally rogue, I know, but at least didn't add calories. The blown rounds I probably ate up to 1200 cals/day AND then they deteriorated into just eating normally.
So no rogue. Except I may not do the breadstick thing - I'm gluten intolerant and have eaten alternate crackers in the past but at least this first week I'm just going to avoid all crackers and see how it goes. Which deviates from the diet, I know, but seems like a common deviance.
And I also might try doing a little IF with this, too - like eat brekkie after 10 and finish all other foods before 7. Thoughts on that? Maybe I'm making too many rules for myself? Easy to do on DAY 1!

Happy vlcd1 to you! I never eat the breadsticks. If I have one I want the whole container so it isn't an option for me I'm pretty on plan with the exception of adding in a few diff veggies this round. I've had zucchini and mushrooms with not problem but that's the extent of my wild and crazy behavior. I eat my meals usually around 1 and then at 5 or 6, maybe have my last fruit a little later but not usually past 7:30 or so. I am really working on listening to my body and not eating until I feel hunger so I don't have a set time to eat but make sure I'm done earlier than later

Thank you @walkingwoman!
Good luck to you, too, on your part of the journey.
Day 1 has gone fine. A little bored. Clearly I use food as entertainment! But the house sure got clean!
I've been a tad bit hungry today but very manageable and it's mostly head hunger vs. real hunger. Man I hope some of these lbs. come off fast. I am really ridiculous at this weight! Cannot believe I let it get this bad.

First day report! Down 1.5. YAY! I think I was 188 pre-load (although honestly, I'd quit weighing b/c it was to depressing) so I bet tomorrow I'll be there.
I have a CONFESSION!
After all that blah blah about not going rogue I did it accidentally - well, not accidentally b/c I purposefully put that stuff in my mouth - but I did not re-reread the protocol and instead just winged it based on what I remembered, and at the end of the day turns out I mis-remembered a lot. I put everything in a tracker and was at about 900 calories!
#fail!
So today I'll do better. Prime culprit in the too-high-of-calories: I ate too much protein (like double) and half was low-fat beef, which, even though low-fat, is very caloric. So it's fish or chicken from here on out! Fish, chicken, or eggs.
No real hunger, which is good. A little boredom, which is bad, but eating when bored is a big part of how I got into this mess so I need to be very tuned into it. Bored and stressed.
Any other bored eaters here?

So - good news: I'm at my pre-load weight, which is still really high but at least I dropped those 3-ish lbs pretty fast.
If my loss continued at this rate then I'd lose almost all my lbs this round!
Ha - that'd be nice but I know better.
Yesterday I waited until 11:30 to eat - it worked out pretty well. Slight hunger in the a.m. but completely manageable.

Here I am. Me too. I come home from work and after dinner play on my computer and EAT. Half the time I've eaten a whole box/plate/carton of something and don't even remember eating it. That is so bad.

So for this round, i have forbidden myself from eating at my computer desk. Have to try something.

I wish you the best on this journey. You are taking the first step, doing something about it. Keep up the good work.

We have the same story...

Hi Agee,

Ditto for me, too!

Reading your first post on this thread could have been written by ME! Yikes! I had three really solid rounds, and then I had about 10 months where I have undone everything I gained. I DID try to regain control, even had several "false starts" on hcg. I had two experiences where I lost NOTHING during the first 5 days. However, I will say that I did NOT follow protocol "exactly." I was close, but I would allow little exceptions that I thought were no big deal. I have learned that when I allow "little" exceptions that may seem harmless, then my brain is also able to justify the bigger exceptions, and then it is all over.

Anyway, I REMEMBER how successful I was before, and I LONG for that again. I have always used homeopathic, and there is a concern (in my mind) that the homeopathic that I purchased in bulk last summer in order to "stock up" was somehow bad. Or perhaps it is just difficult to get authentic homeopathic now since the FDA has put so many restrictions on the product. All I know is that prior to this summer, I felt very confident with the protocol and it was a consistent success. Since this summer, not so much.

Anyway, I wanted to say "hi" and ask if I could join you on this journey! Today is my last loading day, and tomorrow will be VLCD 1 (again!)

Kay

Hi @deanajane, @sanderk1, and @kaylem! Let's do it together! Bored eaters unite!
I am down 2 lbs today! Yahoo! These early losses do so much for our confidence, don't they?
Hey - I have a question about the FDA restrictions. How is it possible to buy hHCG if they've restricted it? I'm using the Intermountain drops and they seem to be the same as before. Are they not? Or has Intermountain somehow circumvented the rule?

Thanks @torister!
I have a headache from this, I think, or lack of coffee maybe. But it will pass, right?
I am psyched I'm down 5 lbs in these 4 days!
Really keeps you going, kwim? I know that it won't be this way forever, but if I could drop 10 lbs (including loading weight) this first week it would be amazing. Then the last 2 weeks another 10! Woot!
Probably won't work like that, but a girl's gotta dream!

I believe the FDA has "warned" but not actually pursued any real action.

I know what you mean---That first week is amazing and gets you really excited about what's to come! It definitely slows down, but my experience during my "good" rounds is that even if you aren't losing on any particular day, your body changes, and that is wonderful...

I just want to say YOU GO, GIRL!!! You're intro post really got me rev'd up and I was going to join in with you on this journey (starting P2 in a matter of days) but you lost me at "I'm not doing it rogue!" I will be roguing it, as usual. But I wanted to just pop in and wish you the very best of success with this round. I totally relate to what you said about your weight holding you back. ME TOO. So although we'll be taking different approaches to HCG, may we each reach our goals and learn to finally keep the blasted yellow nasty stuff out of our cells. God bless you, sweetie.

Thanks Cheryl!
I am actually finding myself doing it rogue, I guess, but not *too* rogue, if that makes any sense. It seems to be physically impossible for me to stay below 500 calories, even w/o the bread. And I'm mixing veg and I'm eating more than 3 oz protein if the protein is low-calorie, like fish.
"Rogue" for me in the past kind of disintegrated into a whole box of gluten free crackers for the day, plus salami for the protein, plus...you name it. So this time I am sticking to pretty strict low-fat rules, tracking it all (staying at 700 cal or below every day) and it is doing its magic.
NOW to keep it up for the whole time. I am already bored as anything, but I'm getting a lot of work done and my house is pretty clean
Another .8 gone in the night...

As it turns out I *am* doing it a tiny bit rogue. First, I find it impossible to stay at 500 cal or below, probably b/c I'm eating more veg. than are allowed and a couple oz. extra of protein a day. Also, I'm mixing veg. So yes, rogue in the strict sense, but compared to previous failed rounds where rogue = an entire box of gluten free crackers, for example, or going for 1200 cals vs. the 700 I'm tracking in ******.
Anyway, it seems to be doing its magic. Another .6 down this morning!

Hi Everyone!
I am excited to report a 4.4 loss on vlcd#1! Since I gained 7 loading, and was uber bloated, I am already feeling better! Looks like we are on our way, just have to focus on why we want to do this.
I had moderate hunger yesterday and headache when I woke up, but so far I am sticking to protocol except for a tsp. of sf Carmel syrup in my coffee (really can't handle it with stevia only) need to get some flavored stevia. Anyone know who has the best prices?
No more letting this weight hold us back! Hang in there everyone, it gets easier once you are a few days in.
Hugs and happy valentines day!

Okay. You talked me into sticking around. I'm a push-over. Wow! You weren't just "rogue" in the past, you were a maniac! Your new rogueness sounds much more sound.

Have you ever tried ground beef with diced tomatoes from the can? I weigh the beef raw, fry it up in the pan and get it all broken up, pour it out onto some paper towels to let the fat drain away, put it back in the pan, add the tomatoes and throw in lots of spices like garlic powder, dried cilantro, dehydrated onion flakes, salt (always) and some pepper. YUM! I usually eat that as my main food in P2.

WOW Sanderk - that's AWESOME!
I never gain a lot when loading - like 2-3 lbs, which is good b/c I lose it fast, but losing half your loading day 1 must feel really good.
