Ugh... Up .8 today. Now that I have gotten over the initial shock and reviewed my day yesterday, I feel better. I know that I have followed protocol except for the 100g. Of ribeye on Friday and 1/2 a bottle of Kroger brand 0 calorie vitamin water yesterday. So, I will continue to drink lots of water today and skip my exercise since I have felt really week and tired for a few days, and hope for a whoosh tomorrow...

Happy Sunday everyone!

I've "released" another lb. Yahoo! I'm really glad b/c yesterday was a real challenge. We went to an event for my son and I packed decent foods for myself but it was a long day (we left the house at 6 a.m. and got home at 9:30 p.m.) and I was literally surrounded by food the whole time. Teenagers snack and snack and snack, and the event had about 300 teenagers.
The end of the day we went to Golden Corral, too, which would not have been my choice but I didn't feel strong enough about it to raise a stink (I had already vetoed a Chinese buffet - there would have been NOTHING) there. I made good choices at the Golden Corral but thought for sure I'd be up or even today b/c of sodium in the baked chicken and the ranch dressing (no such thing as plain vinegar!) for my salad but I'm not. TOM also just came w/a vengeance and I suspect TOM, plus kind of being around the same weight for 4 days, has resulted in a whooshie. I'm really hoping tomorrow will continue the trend!
I have 9 more days left of protocol, 1 week left of drops. Hard to believe!

Good job on all the losses this week! Weekly weigh in was 157.1, so about 12 more lbs to goal. Tomorrow will be day 20, so I'm half-way through. Haven't worked in exercise yet because I don't have a lot of energy, but I'm thinking of starting a daily 30 walk tomorrow. Nothing too strenuous yet.
Went to a birthday party with pizza and oreo cupcakes and ate my chicken and celery and drank my water. Wasn't too hard, but of course my mom was asking me if I was going to eat as nobody knows yet. I'll be into phase 3 for Easter, so that will be the next family gathering with food.
Stay strong,
Lyn

Agee & Idrof you are both doing great, good job passing on the off limits foods! That is so tuff, I have told people I had an upset stomach to keep from eating at functions! Whatever it takes sometimes... Keep up the good work!

I did the same thing at bunco the other night and thought about just getting a plate and just moving the food around, but I didn't. Just said I had heartburn! LOL Only my 16 year old daughter knows I'm doing this so far. Will tell the hubs when he notices a weight loss. The only reason Emma knows is because she noticed me using my Toms deodorant, and she asked if I was "on the shots again." LOL
I am finally over the hunger. THAT has been hard! I can do this for 20 more days. The first 20 went pretty quickly!

Good Morning Ladies;
I am happy to report a big whoosh today.... Down 3 pounds!
I am so glad I hung in there and didn't just eat junk after my gain yesterday... I stuck 100% to protocol, drank water, detox tea and a California kicker plus a 2 mile walk and if paid off!
I am committed to doing 40 days if I don't develop immunity, and hope to see the 180s when I go to p3.
Everyone is really doing great, and i hope we all have another good week! we are rockin' it!

So staying on protocol today, but it is hard. Not quite discouraged yet, but if I play with these numbers--back and forth--UGH!!!!!

Happy Monday all!!

Thanks Dawn! Hang in there, I know Tom messes with people's numbers... I have had a hysterectomy, so don't have to deal with that anymore. Drink lots of water, Lemmon water, and it will come off. I know you and I are alike in that we let the scale rule our moods... Try to ignore it if you can, I know it is hard but you can do this and I have sent the whoosh fairy you way!

Thanks Idorf! I have never had 3 pounds either, except maybe on vlcd#1, but fri. I was -.2 then sat. Up .8 so I guess my body was filling my fat cells with water to prepare for the whoosh. I hope I still see some decent losses for this week too though...
I sent the whoosh fairy Dawns way, so maybe she will send her on to you after her turn!

This water filling fat cells stuff is THE TRUTH, y'all.
Witness yesterday. I didn't change my weight in my stats b/c I was horrified to be UP 2 whole LBS from the day before! I have been good! Following my own (very close to the original) version of the plan! Why was I up 2?
And today I am DOWN a lb from 2 days ago and 3 from yesterday. So I was gearing up for the BIG WHOOSH and I'm in the 170s thank goodness!!
I am really hoping to be 175 or below when I hit day 23 on Monday. Please please please please please!!

Looks like it is going around... I am back up a pound after my big loss yesterday! It is aggravating to see the numbers go up on the scale, but I know I was true to the protocol, so must be holding onto water again...
You are doing great Agee, hope you hit your goal for this round... Whoever has the whoosh fairy, send her back this way please!

sander--no whoosh for me. So someone needs to head her this way too LOL. I need something off this week. I am still NOT down to my lowest that I got to on Friday. I am hanging in there though. I know I have to be patient, but boy it is hard when you don't lose anything all week long. UGH!!!!! Looking forward to tomorrow's weigh in, maybe then??!! I hope for us all!!

Hang in there!!!

WOE: one day at a time!! LC!
Start Date: July 14, 2003 - every day!!
Hey P2ers!! Looks like things are humming along in here. Fluctuations happen. They stink but it's normal. You're all doing great!!

I'll be joining you all soon. I've been trying exercise and LC to lose some of my re-gain, but alas, I'm still in the high 150's (and barely at that!! ). So, back to hcg I'll go. I am in CA all next week, and if I'm brave enough I'll load and start toward the end of the week. Just my dd's w. me, and I won't have my scale, but I might as well start while I'm away from dh. He makes it so hard to follow P2. Gets personally offended if I don't want to eat out .

What will I do differently this round? I'm not sure yet. I've lost about 10lbs every round. Whether hungry or not, slightly rogue or not. It hasn't impacted my rate of loss. I will keep working out this P2, since I've finally added that back successfully. Only 3X a week though, and lighter weights, probably more cardio. In a few weeks I'll be back to the low 150's or high 140's and back to work on stabilizing. I think if I keep the exercise going and am not on vacation my first few weeks of P3, I've got a better shot at it this time around .

Keep fighting the good fight ladies!!

Hello Julie and welcome! Good luck with your new round. It is hard to stay on plan when you eat at restaurants. I try to just not go when on p2. Makes it tuff on family since eating out once or twice a month is a social activity we enjoy... It is so hard to pass on the yummy food in restaurants and order a garden salad, no dressing and an unsweet ice tea! But so.... Worth it!

Dawn: hope you get your whoosh soon, you are doing good hanging in there but it is so frustrating! I think the whoosh fairy must have gotten caught in a snow storm or something! Seems like we are all struggling this week.

I did drop 1.4 today, so bye, bye to the pound I was up yesterday. I have never had a round where I bounced back and forth like this, weird! Since I depend on the scale so much, this is a challenge for me mentally... I have to learn to trust the process, stay true to protocol and have faith in myself!

Have a great day everyone! keep on rock in' it!

UGH!!!! I am not going anywhere. I am going to do an apple day today to see if I can move on the scale. I am either 128 or 127, and this since last week. I cannot take anymore. I need to MOVE DOWN, not stay still. Off to buy some apples---the biggest oes I can find LOL.

Hope everyone's day is going better

Dawn: so sorry to hear you are stuck! I feel your pain... Have you tried drinking detox teas and/or a California kicker? I have never done an apple day but hear they work for most people... Make sure you are getting enough sleep too. I know that you are an expert with this, so I doubt I am suggesting anything that you haven't already tried... Wish I had a better answer!

Enjoy your apples and let us know if the scale is your friend tomorrow...

Thanks sander. I will do my best today and see what happens. Not feeling like going to the store so I may just do something else to kick start the scale again. I will let you know what I try and of course the results tomorrow. And yes, it is even more frustrating because I have done this hundreds of times. Just because I know what to do, doesn't guarantee me success. My body will do what it wants when it wants and if I show it who is boss, it will cooperate. Unfortunately we are on a different time frame Haha. I would like it NOW and it wants to make me wait. So wait I have to do.

Well, ladies, I'm up .6 from yesterday, which is kind of a bummer but down -11.6 overall (counting load weight, which I count!) so I'm okay. This last week - 10 days I seem to be bouncing, bouncing, bouncing ever lower. Down 2, up .6, stay same, down 1, up .2 etc. etc.
Oh well.
I will take it as long as the overall trend is down! It's what comes of weighing every day, kwim?
Saturday is my last dosing day woo hoo! And Tuesday will be P3. Yesss...looking forward to some butter in my eggs nom nom.

Thanks! It's such a battle, losing weight. Sigh. But, worth it! Nice drop! you're doing great!!

Agee-thanks for the whoosh fairy! Cute!!

Dawn-hang in there. I knwo you're frustrated, but you know the drill all too well. Fits and starts, but you'll get there.

I was doing a GYCD today, but that didnt' make it. Had steak for dinner, and ceasar salad, and some SF chocolate for dessert . Oh well. I did get a good workout in, so that's something. Anyone exercising in your P2? I'm planning to scale it back some, but keeping it in. When I add it in P3 or P4 I always gain 3+lbs.

Julie: thanks for the encouragement! I am working out some on p2. I have lifted weights and done cardio for years but never has helped me with weight loss, except when I did body for life about 8 years ago. My energy has been low this round, and I just found out I have a separated shoulder... So right now I am doing about 30 minutes on the cross trainer without using the arm things or just doing elliptical also without arms or tread mill. I have also been sitting in the sauna a few times a week. Workout are 3 or 4 days a week. Are you exercising on p2?

Down 1.2 from yesterday (.8) from the day before that! Yay! I'm at `10 lbs below the weight I started before loading.
So pleased!
Also so happy for this to be almost done. I don't think I could ever do a long round. I find eating this way so tedious!
About exercise - I have been doing Oxycise, which I have done on and off for years now. I love it. I feel so good afterwards. Never a ton of inch loss or weight falling off, but nothing - not even training for a 10K several years ago - does that for me, and HCG is the only way I've been able to do that.
I would like to add in weights - when my oldest son turns 14 in April we're joining my husband's gym. I love to feel strong. If all goes well and I stabilize in P3 I'll be able to fit in another short round before then and start lifting next P3.
