I am trying to accept the fact that I will never be able to eat like I want to without gaining and I have been reading the wl apocalypse and the gabriel method which promotes visualization techniques. I know if I don't change my mind and eating habits I will be doing this again and again....

We can do this and were worth it! Skinny clothes... Here we come!
Thanks!! I am only doing a bit of cream in my coffee (I put a splash in there with some fat free half and half, just cannot do fat free half and half totally ). I have cut down from 3 cups a day to 2, so that in and of itself is quite a victory!! My birthday is July 16 and I wanna look hot in my bikini again And I have about 15 lbs to lose. I may have to do 2 rounds though since I am getting so close to goal--it just might take me extra time.

My update is I am down almost 7 pounds in less than 7 total VLCDs Off to a great start!!! I am feeling so much better already and yes, my uniform is back to being comfy. I am sure my new work pants will fit when I wear them next time on Sunday. Cannot wait!!!

As for cooking up food ahead of time....I found a neat thing at Kroger just Tuesday, or was it Sunday? It was a bag of "matchstick radishes". I didn't have to cut the ends off or anything. I just dumped them in my pot with the chicken and baked them. So simple and easy and they are on plan. Don't taste too bad either.

I pre-cook onions as well. Those are great heat and eat veggies. I do that with cabbage too. I also love that we can have tomatoes on plan. I just open a can and heat. So simple and easy to add tomatoes when the veggies don't look so great in the produce aisle.

Dawn:
If I remember correctly, you work at Starbucks, don't you? If I were you I would be slurping down coffee all day long. I limit myself to a max of 3 household mugs a day, but a hot cup takes the edge of off hunger too. And yes, muss have something in it for creamer, I just can't stand black coffe, even with flavored stevia.
I have never eaten radishes cooked but I will look for them next time I am in Kroger. I really struggle with veggies, I just don't like that many that are on plan. I tend to eat a lot of celery, iceberg lettuce and salad. I think I will make a few servings of p2 chili today sine it is cold here too today, just 31 for the high...

Forgot to say way to go on the 7 pounds! you might get off the whole 15 in a 40 day round but shouldn't be too hard for you to get there and stabilize by July... You go Dawn!

sander--I cannot do celery (don't like it with anything) and with the lettuce--has to have creamy dressing on it or I cannot do that. So my veggies are even more limited as to my preferences. The radishes---cannot do them raw, but cooked for 30 mins with my chicken? I can choke them down.

I DO work at Starbucks!! But we now have to pay for our own coffee. That helps me cut down on how many I drink at work (none!!). I am probably the only barista you know of that cannot drink at work, or take anything home Trust me, I am sooo NOT thrilled that they changed the rules but I was told it was a Kroger decision, not a Starbucks one. I have bended the rules a bit--if they fire me, they fire me I don't think they will, but who knows? I don't care at this point. My manager and I talked about this just yesterday. Ah well. Makes it easier to stick to plan though

You know celery works for me in a pinch. I don't care too much for radishes and I use lettuce for P2 chili, it's like having Taco Salad or I use it as my bread for a chicken sandwich or hamburger when I eat the lean beef. I got some celery the other day and it tasted to me on the sweet side? Usually it is bitter to me but then maybe my taste buds are changing because I am not indulging in alot of sweet stuff. I look at celery sticks as French Fries on the side of things so I trick my brain some. Man, it would be great if I could continue to do that when I am done with P2, think of the pounds it would save me from gainning if I ate celery instead of regular fries. Anyway right now:

Celery Rawks!

We'll see when I get closer to the end of my round!

Maggie--You think like me. I have always said that if I would binge on lettuce instead of chocolate and candy....I would not be as big as I am. I hope that these habits would last into P3 and P4 for me. Heck, just P3 would be nice! LOL but alas, the very first day I am looking for everything I have not had in the last 21 days I have to show restraint this time. The big challenge is going off the strictest part of the plan.

I absolutely love cruncy foods... Like chips and crackers, I use celery and my few Melba's to get that fix... I will eat asparagus, but don't really like it. I wish I loved veggies, I think that would make staying and getting thin so much easier. I use my lettuce as a bun too. I really like to keep my meals simple because it is so easy to add a bunch of stuff, even spices, have a stall or a gain and not know what caused it. I like to make chicken soup with celery diced very small, some dried onion, s&p, chicken broth... Boil until celery is tender the add a serving of cooked diced chicken and serve. Yummy.

Day 12 and I've hit the -10 mark! Yahoo! 8 lbs of fat vaporized! I'm SO hoping to get to 175 by the time I'm done. This is a short round, which makes it psychologically possible (and also logistically as I'm going out of town the 2nd week of March) but hopefully I can do it. -6 in another week and a half?
PLEASE!
Also - what's the scoop on P4. If my weight stabilizes in P3 and I don't plan on adding many carbs back anyway (I'm prediabetic), can I skip P4? Or should I do a longer P3? Does it have to be P3 3 weeks, then P4 3 weeks or could I do P3 4 weeks as long as I'm stable, then back on P2?
Ideally I'd like to get 3 short rounds in before I go to the beach this summer. I could do it if I only do P3 for 4 weeks and don't do a P4.
I guess I'm asking how important is the 3 weeks + the 3 weeks?
I'll start a thread on this on the main page, too.

How's everyone doing today? I am down another .8, so hoping to hit below 200 tomorrow! On another noted... Went to dr. Because of pain and knot on top of shoulder and found out my shoulder is separated from my collar bone by 1/4 inch... Usually happens from a fall or car accident but other than a fall in the garden last summer can't figure out what happened. Wondering if it was using the cross trainer on hcg and the abnormal fat moved and my stuff wasn't in alignment when I exercised? Just going to baby it and wait and see how it goes, hopefully it will repair on its own... Whoever said getting old wasn't for sissies was so right!

Agee - way to go on hitting the 10 lb. loss mark! Rooting for you to reach your goal weight for this round!

Sanderk1- I certainly hope you reach below the 200 lb mark as well! Sorry that your shoulder is messed up. Ouch! I hear you on the getting old part I just turned 51 in January and I certainly am feeling it. Take care of yourself.

Way to go everyone, KUTGW!

Agee: that's fantastic on hitting the 10 pound mark! You are doing great! About p3 & 4, I really don't know. Several years ago when I lost on homeopathic, I didn't do 3&4 until I reached goal and really struggled to stabilize and maintain. I recommend doing it by the book, but others can probably offer some input.

MagieDen: I am 47 and really feeling it today! I know carrying this extra weight is a lot of it, so hopefully I will feel better as the pounds go. I sure wish I would have taken better care of my body when I was younger!

Folks on the main HCG board are advising against shortening the P3/P4 time. I will take it under advisement and play it by ear, I think. If I go a month and am very stable then I will probably go for it - maybe a longer round then do the full 6 weeks.
We are going to the beach with my family and I HATE being the fattest person in my family. You'd think I'd be used to it by now, but I'm not!
And my neighbor just asked me if I had lost weight. Yahoo! I guess the 10 lbs are showing!

It is so nice when people start to notice! Nobody has said anything to me yet, but I've been wearing bigger clothes and nobody knows I'm doing this again. Not even my hubby or daughters who are 16 and 12. I am just so ashamed that I put the weight back on from the previous round and not happy to pay another $400 for this round!!!!!
My daughter did ask me if I was "on the shots again" LOL when I used my Tom's deodorant, and I just kind of grunted. Does anyone else think that deodorant doesn't work? I feel stinky at the end of the day! What do y'all use?
Happy losing,

Lyn - I just use my regular deodorant. But I have never done this super strict, so I'm probably not one to give advice on that front.
I am *up* .6 this a.m. but I *feel* like I'm much smaller in my belly than even yesterday, so I'm not worried. Readjustment is going on! Starting to feel like myself again!
Day 13! More than halfway through my short round. Woo hoo!

Lyn--I have gotten to the point where I don't switch deodorant either. Just my usual. You go through a clinic for your hcg? That is quite a price!!! I lost all I needed to in 3 rounds and in all it cost me less than $100. I am reluctant to try any other way, if for cost alone.

A--good going on the feeling that you are smaller. Sometimes that is more important than the scale. You know you are doing it right and the scale will "catch up" eventually! I know that when I see the number on the scale it dictates everything--my mood, what I eat that day, what I drink.....everything. And it shouldn't. Good for you!!

I am down 7.6 lbs in my first week on P2. I am very excited!!!! My jeans I have been wearing all week now are loose. So good things all around are happening!!! Yay!!!

Happy Friday!!

I just have to share that I lost .6 yesterday, so I broke the 100 mark and weighed in at 199,6 this morning! Yeah me!

Agee: love that someone noticed you weight loss! That really helps to keep you on track! When I lost previously, I think I was down at least 40 pounds before any of my coworkers said anything! Seriously! Also great attitude on being up, I am like Dawn and put too much of my happiness into what the scale reads.

Dawn: you are doing great this round, way to go and do a happy dance in your lose pants! You'll be into a smaller size soon.

Idorf: I understand not telling anyone too, I don't want them to sabbatoge me or think, okay here she goes again... As for deodorant, this round I am using one of those crystals that you run under water, I don't think it works as well either. On days I go to the gym, I use the regular kind.

Uhhh...oh... Hubby bought a beef ribeye loin today, to cut it into steaks. I cut up one of the steaks into 100g. Size and grilled it for diner... It was delish but now I am feeling guilty. I did cut off all visible fat, so hopefully it will be okay.
I worked out for 1/2 an hour on the cross trainer today and sweated in the sauna too. I was really feeling week and run down before I ate the steak, but feel much better now. I will kick my own butt if I go back up over 200 tomorrow! Ahhhhhhhhghhhhh... Wish me luck!

Everyone is really doing great this round

Just wanted to report that I am down.2 today, so the ribeye wasn't terribly damaging... I will save it for p3 though.

Hope everyone has a nice weekend!

Congrats on the loss ! So far I am leaning to do another round the 2nd week of April. Want to get to 120 so that means I would need to get down to 117-118 so I can stabilize at 120. Want to lose that small roll around my belly that and see how low I can go. I just hate how my pants fit around the waist & when I wear a snug shirt & sit down the roll of fat turns into a perfect life saver aound my waist !! Hate that so size 6 pants are too loose & size 4 pants fit perfect except for the dreaded belly fat. Thinking 21 days is not so bad after all if I can get rid of that It's not like P3 foods are going extinct

Did you load super carby before this round ? A part of me wants to just load with fat but another part (the one that always wins) thinks of pizza, ice cream, barbecue, beer, potato chips & Cuban food !! My husband loves when I load because we get to eat so many delicious but fattening foods and he gets to go along for the ride.

Hope everyone is having an on plan weekend. I have stayed true to protocol but am really feeling tired and week, but not really hungry. I think I will skip the exercise for a few days and see if that helps...

Dawn: congrats on another big loss!
