After my gain yesterday morning, I was hoping to see better results today. But only down 0.2 to 197.8. UGH! Trying so hard not to get discouraged. Congrats to y'all on your losses!

![]() Also, missing the second fruit of the day shouldn't really hurt you. Some people never have all of the fruits and veggies. I usually miss out on a fruit and/or a veggie a day. Also, I normally skip the Grissini and Melba unless I am truly hungry. |

Moving into day 6 of P2. weighed myself this morning, 194.4. Then 5 mins later 195.4...not sure which to believe, but I want to go with the first lol. This is the weight I was the day before loading...so one week almost, and no headway, this is frustrating, but, I committed tot he 21 day protocol, so I'll stick with it.

I kept pep talking myself about not getting discouraged the last couple of days and was rewarded with a 5 pound drop this morning!!
Weighed in at 192.8. I can't remember the last time I weighed this close to the 180's! I definitely feel better about things now. Proud to be a loser! Lol. You guys are doing great. So glad we are on this journey together. The support is priceless. Happy Saturday! |

Avy - I am by no means trying to discourage you, please realize that... but if the first weight was not accurate, tomorrow's weight may not have much of a loss. Just wanting you to be prepared for the possibility. On the other hand, if the second weight was incorrect and you used that today, tomorrow may result in a huge loss, lol. Either way, keep up the good work!
Nurse - I am soooo jealous of the 5 lb drop! My check in - I lost 1.3 lbs yesterday. I had chicken for lunch yesterday and some delicious Jalapeno marinated fish for dinner. I know we are suppose to eat fresh fish, but I can never cook it right. I bought frozen fish that was already marinated (no breading or anything though) I wasn't hungry much during the day, but later that evening I got hungry at work and had some lettuce and a few pieces of an apple. It was so hard eating that when they were having a pizza party at work! Of course the pizza was from my favorite local place. Oh well, resisting it paid off. I had the leftover fish for lunch today, and will have chicken for dinner. I just realized my bagged salad has gone bad, so I guess I'll be missing out on veggies today. I still have apples and the breadsticks/toast though, so I'll be fine. |

***tear*** no loss today. I didn't sleep well last night. I hope that is the cause and that I'm not already hitting a plateau.
Good luck to everyone! |

Not sleeping the night before can cause all sorts of havoc with the scale... I "gained" 2 lbs from that before.

Really hoping that the scale moves tomorrow morning. I had an angus beef patty for the first time today (well, first time since starting the HCG) and it was delicious

I'm up 0.4 today. I also had a angus sirloin beef patty for the first time yesterday. May need to steer clear of those until p3.

After no loss when I stepped on the scale yesterday, I lost 2.3 lbs when I weighed in today. So I'm assuming the day long stall was due to not sleeping right. Looks like the Angus Patty worked for me, but I don't plan on having them often because the calories are higher than chicken and shrimp.
I had a Tall Blonde Roast today from Starbucks with come cinnamon and the little bit of dairy we are allowed. I'm not sure if it was old or what, but YUCK! I ended up tossing it out. |

Grats on the loss! I'm afraid of eating beef lol just because it's so much higher calories. I'm only moving into week 2 of VLCD, and seeing 'about" .5 losses a day, which is average I guess. I have added Chocolate Delight to my rotation (coconut oil, cocoa powder and stevia) because I just needed something. It doesn't seem to be hurting the loses anyway.
Planning my meals for the week right now... mostly chicken and cabbage for lunches at work, fish or shrimp at night with a veggie, an apple, grapefruit or orange snack in the morning, and either strawberry and spinach smoothies in the afternoon or strawberries, milk, stevia, and cocoa powder blended in the afternoons. trying to rotate the foods as much as I can, but I have a lot of cabbage to use up. Avy, I was scared to death of having beef. I did a low carb diet before and it always made me stall. I decided to try it yesterday because I didn't have my second allowance of fruits or either breadstick. I knew I'd be able to have it without going over in calories. I won't have it often, because I'm still scared that it may hurt me if I have it constantly. It was a very nice change though. I have chicken for like 11-12 meals a week. The other ones are fish or shrimp.
The only veggies I do are salads or tomatoes. i count the tomato as a fruit though. If I eat out and they serve grilled asparagus I will get it, but have only seen it once. Everywhere uses butter to cook it so I have a hard time finding it truly grilled or steamed. Husband and daughter hate it, so I never make it at home. I only do apples or strawberries. I was doing oranges but they were always a pain in the butt to keep fresh and to peel and all. Plus, they would stall me at times, depending on what else I ate. |

I think I'll work steak in once a week, I don't eat a ton of it anyway usually. also doing oranges 1-3 times a week, mostly strawberries and apples, and 1/2 grapefruit about 3-4 times a week as well so far. Seems to be ok.

February-09-13 ? Load day 1
February-10-13 204.2 Load day 2 February-11-13 200.0 VLCD 1 February-12-13 197.8 VLCD 2 February-13-13 196.8 VLCD 3 February-14-13 198.0 VLCD 4 February-15-13 197.8 Vlcd 5 February-16-13 192.8 Vlcd 6 February-17-13 192.8 Vlcd 7 February-18-13 193.2 Vlcd 8 February-19-13 190.4 Vlcd 9 February-20-13 191.4 Vlcd 10 This bouncing around is killing me!!! I love the big drops but then stay the same, gain a little, drop again. So frustrating. I'm doing the same thing every day. My menu rarely varies because I'm afraid of rocking the boat too much. I sat and watched my husband eat Mexican food (my favorite) while I drank water. Now tell me that isn't love! lol. I wonder if I shouldn't stop weighing daily since it is making me NUTS! ![]() The only thing I can think of that I'm not consistent on is ACV. Both my big drops were after I took a 2oz shot of ACV and chugged a big bottle of water after. I can't stand to mix it in my water and sip on it, so when I remember I just measure it out and shoot it straight. Maybe I need to be doing that daily. You guys are doing great! Avy, I added in tiny bits of cocoa crack too. It's pretty good. I didn't sweeten mine enough but it tastes like dark chocolate. This is my first round and it's almost TOM. Do I stop the pellets during my cycle? I thought I read that somewhere. That thought terrifies me. I'm so afraid of being ravenously hungry. I'm always hungry now, but if the pellets are helping any I'm afraid of losing that little bit of appetite suppression, ya know? |

I have read that you only have to stop during TOM with the injections. That the pellets and drops don't have to be stopped. Something about becoming immune to injections is easier/quicker. That's just what I read, so I can't guarantee how correct it is. Quote:

Lost 0.7 lbs when I weighed in today. I was so relieved.
![]() I weighed myself last night before bed and was up almost a full pound. I am always exactly the same when I wake up in the morning and before I go to bed that night, so I was terrified that I wouldn't lose anything over night. So I have to do a planned interruption next month. It will be for 2-4 days. My parents and 6 year old nephew are coming to visit and they do not know about this diet. I can guarantee you they would not be supportive at all, and I don't want to listen to their lecturing. I will stop the pellets on March 11th or 12th and do 2-3 days of the 500 calorie diet while the HCG leaves my body. I still need to figure out for sure if I have to do 2 or 3 days since I am taking pellets and drops and not true injections. I will then go off track while they are here for 2-4 days and jump right back on the bandwagon once they leave. I would love to eat healthy while they are here, but I know that isn't going to be possible. My mom is the motherly type who will insist on cooking all of these big huge starchy meals while she is here and probably a dessert or two. I planning on having a large glass of water before each meal and a salad as an appetizer. That way I can satisfy her by eating her cooking, but not have to have a huge portion. I am so scared about how my body will react to the sudden starch but if you knew my mom, you'd know there is absolutely no way to avoid her meals. I then plan on doing a full 3 weeks of P2 and transitioning to P3 correctly. I do not want to risk messing up and going to P3 too quickly after my interruption. If I continue with the types of losses I've been having, and don't stall too much or gain too much during the interruption - I should be able to get to my goal weight by the end of the 3 weeks, which will use up all of my supply. |

I was doing a non-hormone activator pill for around 20 days. I then switched over to intermountain with no break between them. I will have in roughly 25-28 days of intermountain pellets/drops usage before the interruptions and 45+ plus days of the diet. I will then return to P2 and finish out my supply (roughy three weeks will be left) and then go to P3

Unfortunately, I know that avoiding starch won't be possible. My mom always has certain meals she wants to cook when she comes to visit (once a year) and they are things like chicken and dumplings or homemade Mexican or Italian food. Even when I was in the 170's she would go on and on and on with lectures if I tried to eat healthier or diet. She has always been a heavier woman, and thinks that being skinny or fit looking is unhealthy. I may be able to avoid most sugar, besides at least one small dish of banana pudding that she will make. Her "need" to feed us her home cooking and avoiding her lectures about not eating it/eating healthy/hcg is why I have to do the interruption. It sucks, I was hoping she would wait until summer when I would be in P4, but that isn't going to happen. So even with having to go so off track for those 2-4 days, do you think that I'd be able to lose it again within 3 weeks and then go to P2 without issues stabilizing? In all honesty, how much weight can I expect to gain due to this, and will it follow the general assumption of "if it goes on quickly, it will come off quickly" or am I going to be completely screwed? |

Hello All,
congrats on any weight loss. I am down another full pound. only 40 to go. JGR, I did not follow protocol on P3. basically it's a very low carb diet. oh well, live and learn. when you interrupt, go low carb. tell your MOM that you are doing this for your own health., and she needs to respect your decision in this and not push any more food than you want to handle. She loves you and I am sure wants to best for you. No, not many people understand the HCG 500 cal/ day thing. I keep forgetting my drops in the morning. Not a good thing, as I get the hunger thing going mid-morning. Always best to keep to your schedule whatever it is. what is this ACV? i have not heard of this. ![]()

P2 last day with pellets/drops 500 calories no drops/pellets 500 calories no drops/pellets Then I increased my calories to 750, 1000, 1250 etc. adding in healthy fats and extra protein but still eating P2 foods, this way I didn't jump from 500 calories to 1500 calories in one day I wanted my body to get used to the fat and extra food. The weight gain from eating starches and sugars will vary with each person you could gain up to 10 pounds or more and it doesn't always come off as fast as it goes on. When I was on P2 if I ate off plan my weight would go up 2 to 3 pounds overnight but take a week to come off.
