sauerkraut
I know that sauerkraut is not in the P2 protocol, but it looks as though all of the ingredients are allowed......
Any thoughts or experiences ? My apologies if this has been asked before ! -Mo |

I would def do sauerkraut. I have some in the fridge that I just brought to eat on P2 but haven't yet because I'm not sure what protein to pair it with. But I agree, it's just cabbage, vinegar and salt, all allowable. I'm just thinking I wouldn't get too upset if I gain some ounces the next day since the salt might cause some water retention. In Tim Ferris' book (nothing to do with HCG) he says that fermented foods like SK are very good for weight loss. So, I though that would be a great thing to add to my meal plan.
What were you going to make it with? |

I ate it with Forman grilled white fish. It was good but the sodium caused a gain in p2. It eventually worked itself out, but it was an effort to drink a double ton of water the next day.

I do sauerkraut and 90 calories per 2 oz low fat turkey sausage. It is such a great change of pace. I add yellow mustard and celery seed.
