Shelby - Peanut flour is not P3 friendly....but is doable in P4.

Dooy - YES...eat salad dressing...full fat, not that fat free crap either! Yes, well your BMI might be 1345, but you realize that is how much you need to fuel your body if you were say laying in bed and never getting up and doing anything?? Get those calories up by adding good fats like avocado, coconut oil, butter, olive oil and through fattier cuts of meat like chicken thighs with skin, etc. Eat until satisfied...not gorging and you will be amazed how full you stay throughout the day.

Complaining is fine. I'm an expert That's why these boards are so great. We get how frustrating losing 100 lbs and then when you are down to 10 lbs. Tomorrow is another day & P2 is always waiting..

Thanks! Good advice!

Just had an amazing salad (with the recalled baby spinach ), chicken, sliced avocado, real salad dressing! YUM! Just finished strawberries for dessert! I was pleasantly full without being stuffed. It's amazing how the wonderful mouth feel of healthy fats just fills you up! I'm praying that I will be the same tomorrow.

P3D6 and I am just 0.6 over my LIW. The first week of P3 can be such a roller coaster as we add new foods and figure what agrees with us and what we are sensitive to.

If you are trying to get some good fat into your diet, I really like coconut oil and I make "coco crack" I often double the recipe and pour them into mini cupcake liners so I can take them with me.

2T coconut oil
2T cocoa powder
2T sugar substitute of choice (I used xylitol that I grind up in my mini chopper)

All you do is mix it together and put it in the microwave until melted and stir it up well. I pour it in the mini cupcake liners (using the pan) and then if I want I add some things to it. Last night I added pumpkin seeds and grated coconut (unsweetened). I have also added walnuts, dried cranberries....really anything that you would like that is P3 friendly. Its a great little boost. I put the whole cupcake pan in the fridge and let them set up over night and then bag them. Must be kept in the fridge especially in the warmer months as coconut oil melts at 77 degrees.

Yesterday's Menu:

B: Fried eggs and bacon
S: Dunkin Iced with HWC
L: Leftover chicken and brocolli in olive oil
D: Grilled steak with sauteed onions and mushrooms
S: Mug cake with HWC

oh and I tried one of the coco crack treats as well. YUM!

Have a great day everyone!!

Hi All!

Wanted to pop in bc ill be joining you all on Saturday!

My round started off great with consistent losses but I have been stalled for 7 days and I'm a little disappointed. Basically ending this round 11 lbs down and at the same weight I was at the end of my last round.

I know we used to talk a lot about the hunger scale and eating to hunger here and I saw this article and wanted to share with you all

The Rhythms of Hunger

Anyway, looking forward to joining you guys!

Thanks for the article, Reddy! Really addresses some of what has kept me in bondage to dieting for so long.

Down .8 this morning to 152.4! THANK YOU, Torister for reminding me to eat fat!! I didn't go crazy but it really worked. I know I'm going to go up and down a bit in P3 but breaking the stinkin' thinkin' is my biggest battle. I realized that I am still afraid of food. Not good.

I plan on doing some reading this weekend and for a renewed mind. I am going to watch the Woodhall YouTube clips and download the book.

Menu
B: Shake, coffee/cream
L: lunch out so a grilled protein, with salad, reeeeal dressing, coffee/cream
S: 10 almonds or GY with some walnut pieces
D: sauteed salmon, stir fry veggies in olive oil, sliced avocado
D: baked apple

You are quite welcome!! You are not alone. We have all been essentially brainwashed eat low fat and very low calorie to lose weight. It just isn't so! Our bodies...our brains...need fat to function properly. Its the mixing of the fats with the refined carbs that is a killer and weight gainer.

Put some whipped cream on that baked apple girlfriend!

Morning All ! P4D13 & up +1 but still within my window. I didn't have the sweet potato as I wasn't in the mood to cook yesterday. I know the extra pound is lack of sleep, extra stress at work & home since my DS's ADHD is on full throttle lately and not enough water. So today sticking to what I do and going to try and sleep early & try and relax a little.

I am kind of getting tired of keeping track of all my food. So I think today may the last day. I find myself moving toward a "this is life now" so I want to relax a little. I've been very good about eating when hungry and not over doing it so I am finding that stressing over percentages & calories is useless. My body fluctuates every day, it's up & then it's down. It wants to stabilize around 127-129 & as long as I see that on the scale I am good.

I think my "enough" moment was yesterday I actually stressed because I wanted an apple but when I entered it into my phone app it put me way over carbs because I had 2 big salads for lunch & dinner. I realized I was being ridiculous & had my apple !!

You are doing great! No need to stress!! I have spent a life time tracking and worrying about food. I am done with it. I am now listening to my body.

Can I ask why you are tracking carbs HCG protocol isn't low carb.

Well ladies I start p2 today. I am up 1.6 from yesterday. Today I am 190.8
I will drink all my water and tea. I'm not going to drink any coffee or eat the melba toast today. I pray I'm down at least 4-5lbs tomorrow I'm ready to do this again.
I have been so moody with my husband and kids today. So I'm wondering if TOM is coming and that's adding to the gains and wanting to just eat something lol

THANK YOU ALL for the support yesterday. It really helped me get ready for today. I am focused and ready.

I have a question is there a specific amount of time to stay on p2 after a planned interruption?

No, I don't eat low low carb but I tend to still eat P3 and the veggies/fruits on the low glycemic side. But in past rounds when I tried to add too many fruits or too many veggies my weight fluctuated way too much. So I was just trying to stay around 10-15 % on the carb side but sometimes it's too much work ! So chucking the darn food ap !!! I feel so free now

When I want to eat clean and drop any big fluctuation I do eat very low carb (less than 5 % carb) & I tend to lose the water/inflammation gain.

Hi guys! I've been mia, I got sick three weeks ago with a cold and now I've got Bronchitis, yay. So I stayed home trying to get better.

I'm 6 out of the window but this is normal for me. I'm not going to stress too much cause I'm sick and I dont think a correction day would be beneficial. I am sticll sticking to no starch no sugar and today is 3 weeks out... but I will continue to do this just to lock it in.

My landlord of 8 years wants to sell his house and I'm getting ready to make an offer which is scary because ive never bought a house without a realtor. I wish I knew someone that could help me with this but I will give it a go and see how I do.

I miss you guys and think of so often! Ive got to log in more to keep me where I should be. I just dont want to get caught at work on the internet and lately I've been getting blamed for everything so im trying to be invisible.

anyhoo have a good day all! Keep warm and toasty!!!

Love, Lara

Isn't it a great feeling?!?!? I will be *slowly* adding fruit in again in week 2 of P3...mostly berries at first. I have found that as long as I have some sort of fat with my fruit or veggie I don't have an issue with fluctuations. Like I have HWC with berries, a piece of cheese or almond butter with apple slices or a dip (or salad dressing) with raw veggies or butter with hot veggies.

That's a good idea! Thanks. I notice in the morning I have my berries with my eggs & I don't feel bloated at all but I do tend to have the 2nd fruit as a snack & by itself when I get home from work. Will start adding my 2nd fruit with some fat like cheese or nuts. I am craving cantaloupe big time with a scoop of cottage cheese. Having that for breakfast this weekend

Personally I would recommend staying on P2 for AT LEAST a week after a planned PI, particularly a longish one (you did the full 14 days, right?). I think you want your body to get off any gains from the PI and get fully into P2 mode. Just my 2 cents.

Hi everyone! Not too much to report today. Having another busy day at work but at least I got a decent night's sleep last night so I'm not feeling too wiped out.

Today I am having a small NSV. I have on a skirt that I think of as my "skinny skirt." It's a size 6 from way back in the day (just goes to show how much stuff is vanity sized these days as I am normally wearing 2's to 4's). Anyway, this skirt is VERY unforgiving. It has a tiny waist (although I am proportionate, my waist is not proportionately small) and it is WELL above my knees (I know, I know--no miniskirts after 40! ). In any case, I just cannot wear it if I am much outside of about 143. It went on with no troubles this morning paired with my funkiest tights, a coral lace top, and fun wedge heels so I am hopeful that any gain from recent indulgences is dropping back off. I was having the proverbial pee-fest yesterday so I know I'm getting rid of water and my ring is loose so that's also a good indication.

Tonight my SO and I and some friends are taking a caviar tasting class and dinner (complete with champagne pairings). I'm looking forward to not cooking and enjoying a glass or two of wine. It will be the first time for my beau to meet these friends so it will be interesting to see how they get on. I'm sure it will all go swimmingly.

Lara - When you get a chance google "buying real estate in a private transaction." I'll bet there are a bunch of forms and docs and stuff to help. GOOD LUCK!!!

Everyone else - keep it real!

I am having a late dinner. It is in the oven and the house smells fabulous. Gotta taste it before I share a photo and recipe.

Have a great evening!!

Day 5 today still have stayed under LDW by a little bit, only 1 day where i was actually right on it, other than that staying a few ounces below usually. Yesterday I had a mug cake, it was delicious. Today I added a bit more cheese to my salad. Think I will leave the extras to those 2 things for the rest of this week. I would like to add cocoa crack but I have a hard time stopping myself from eating it all!
