So true!!

I *love* pumpkin seeds! I add them and minced coconut into my coco crack candies. Puts extra texture and good stuff into them!!

After my panic post (above) a couple of days ago I was back in my window and have been for two days. I just need to stay away from the sunflower seeds. They're low carb, but salty and I'm not done until I eat the whole pack.

I've been having coffee with hwc and making ice cream in my Vitamix just about everyday, either vanilla, strawberry or chocolate. It's such a treat and the dairy doesn't seem to affect my maintenance.

I know right..I was at the grocery store & saw all the lovely produce & meats & I came out with strawberries & 2 grapefruits but I also came out with tons of lovely meats, scallops, hwc, full fat mayo, more GY, spinach & romaine lettuce, some colorful peppers & lots of new dried spices to try. I was so happy with my choices. I realize I do have to be careful like you say with starches & sugars and it's ok because I have so many yummy options.

Torister, thanks so much! Will get the fattier ground beef next time! I've been having a natural guacamole 2-3 times/week and coconut oil! Going to make mashed cauliflower tonight and will butter it up! So hard to change this mindset....

I think the advice Torister is giving you is right on the money. For example for my weight 128 5'4 I can eat between 1500 to 1800 calories. If I had stuck to less fattier options I would of stabilized like my co worker (same height & weight) who eats 1000-1500 calories to maintain and when she indulges on the weekend & I mean a few glasses of wine she gains 3 lbs & then has to go on 500 calories for a few days to get back to her weight. If I go over I do a GY or just eat no carbs & in 1 day I have lost and then some. So it's important to add those good fats in P3 & they keep you so much more satisfied too

I can identify with that!

I'm sooo sluggish all day from the dang sugar yesterday. Eating really clean today so far and have fish and veggies planned for dinner. Hoping the 1.6lb gain will be IT from the party. Mad at myself for having that stupid extra glass of wine. Back at it though...

Beautiful day here in Virginia!

Pandora: I didn't even have enough for a whole 10 drops this morning lol my whole bottle is gone and I don't have anymore. I'm going to be ordering some more in March. I did a 42 round. 40 days of vlcd eating. I think this will be my last 40 day round. I'm excited to really try to eat by hunger and really go slow on this p3. Today was my first day with out drops and I haven't been hungry at all. I start p3 Tuesday. I was down to 183.2 this morning

Does anyone use Grapeseed oil on p3. That stuff is so good! Especially as a salad dressing, all you do is add a little garlic powder and salt and its like heaven lol. I think I'm going to add that in if I can. Especially for the first week of p3 because I want to stay away from the ranch and blue cheese because that always makes me want cheese!

Welcome to P3 ! I know what you mean about long rounds they can be very hard mentally. But if you were like me we just wanted to lose the weight. But short rounds can be a lot easier to handle. The Grapeseed oil sounds interesting. I bet it would be delicious with strawberries & some feta cheese

Morning all P4D17 & STS from yesterday which is top of my ldw +2 lbs. Not bad considering I usually suffer for 2 weeks during tom. Hopefully it just gets here & doesn't linger for the entire week before making it's appearance. But lord am I snippy & grouchy & my back is killing me.

Anyway ate to hunger yesterday which involved a lot of GK. Today I made this yummy pork loin in the crockpot with sweet potatoes, apples, cinammon & sweet onions. Smelled devine

Been doing my light exercising every day for 20 min. This weekened will add some yoga & stretching. Have a great Monday ladies !

Sounds delicious, Pandora! Want company for dinner?!?!

I'm down .8 to 153.2 from my 1.6 jump from the party Sat. night. Ate clean yesterday and plan to do so today. Still within my LDW of 152.6.

Happy Monday everybody!

I'll be on p3 tomorrow. Im just going to add more protein and eat p2 lean meats. I'll try to do this for the first 2 days. Then add more fatty meat. I think I'm going to wait on switching to hc in my coffee. I'll stick with half and half for now. I'm going to really go slow on this p3

This is what I did when going into P3 I added in 250 calories extra for the 1st few days so 750, 1000, 1250 etc. this helped me stabilize in P3. I increased the protein and added cream in my coffee.

This is the first P3 that I didn't have to do a CD and that's what I did. I had the first week P2 foods just bigger portions. Added healthy fats that I knew I had no issue with like butter, olive oil, GY, mayo & full fat dressing. I ate to hunger & did not overeat & I was fine. I knew that bacon, cream cheese, regular cheese can be problematic for me so I didn't add these back until I had cleared a few days of P3 & then one at a time I added them back.

I think that's the key go slow adding back in things & always in moderation. Enjoy P3

Today is P3 D1 for me. Today I am adding Greek Yogurt and Tuna Sashimi. Other than that, I'm sticking to P2 foods. I'm trying to do things gradually as well.

Yes this is the best way to do it and you can wait a couple of days between each new food you add in to see how your body reacts to it.

This was also the 1st P3 that I didn't have to do a cd day and I was in my window the whole time except on my last P3 day but I ate clean and the weight went back down.

Hi everyone! Hope all is going well. I see we have a couple of folks joining us in P3 this week--good luck guys! Keep posting and P3 will go a LOT better! I will second (or is it third or fourth?) the advice to ease into P3. I did this last time and it was definitely the best transition that I've had in any of my rounds. I posted my last transition plan in the short form thread and while NOT strict protocol, it was pretty easy and something with enough structure to keep me from going off the rails. I think it was Dawn who suggested looking at the "limbo" plan?

In other news, I've got some hormonal stuff going on that I think is causing a bump up in my weight. I don't get my period normally (IUD) but sometimes I get symptoms and weight gain and that's what I'm experiencing right now. Back ache, cramps, tenderness, cravings (sugar/alcohol), etc. Probably doesn't help that I'm not sleeping as much as I should and drinking MORE than I should! Nothing too radical--6-7 hours per night and usually a glass of wine in the evenings--but it's out of the ordinary and I know BOTH impact my weight. I've also started taking a new supplement that may or may not be causing some of the above but I'm not quite sure how to asses it. (Probably need to set up some new blood tests anyway.) I am over my self imposed top of window (145) by a couple of pounds so I'm going to watch this like a hawk this week to make sure it doesn't get out of hand. Strictly salads for lunch and light dinners with minimal carbs. And as much as I'd love to 5 pounds lower, it's not critical enough for me to do cd after cd. Keeping it light and fighting the cravings for all I'm worth, and I should see some drops.

Anyway, KUTGW everyone and remember that losing the weight isn't the tough part--THIS IS!

thanks but I have to give the credit to Kim I did it her way and I am glad. I have been stable and didn't do any cd's, I was out of my window on the last day of P3 so I ate clean for the next couple of days and the weight went back down.

I am debating about doing another P2 next week only because I now know what I have to do to be stable.

Hello all

Well...it has been forever & a day...2 weeks, I think! I have had a million things going on. I will try to make it short.

First off...we had a HORRIBLE tragedy in my neighborhood on Feb. 12. An 11 y.o. lil' boy was killed while on his dirt bike in the field behind us. He can be very mischievous...his bus stop is on my grass, and I would always have to be fussing at him...grrr! Unfortunately, I fussed at him the day before about digging up the stop sign & turning it (we've already seen a bad accident occur b'cuz of this), and I feel guilty that they were my last words to him. This family lives 4 houses down from us and we are fairly close to them and have close ties w/ them. They have(had) 3 sons...Eli was the middle child! Mom is my youngest sons' teacher at Wed. night church, the boy has sat in my living room playing video games w/ my boys, dad is close w/ my hubby as they both do AC work and help each other a lot, the oldest son is one of my son's BF's, plus mom & I have long chats at times. I was DEVASTATED! I went to the viewing & funeral...I have had a hard time w/ it. My heart aches for mom. She has had a lot of support...and people have been everywhere...all the schools they go to were here...principals, teachers, counselors, students, etc. have all shown their support...b'cuz they had a child in elementary, middle, & high school...testing was cancelled, Valentine dances were cancelled, etc. Our streets were a constant flow of cars. It was awesome to see the community, and OUR neighborhood rally for support. They have had to turn away food b'cuz so much has been given to them...they're using the neighbors fridges & freezers.
What happened was that he snuck out the dirt bike & was showing off to the neighbor kids (Thank God my kids were not there...I was at the gym, and then on to Bible study, I do not allow them out of the house while I'm gone). He lost control & ran into barb wire and it cut right through his neck. The neighbor kids ran to get his mom. A care-flight helicopter was eventually brought in, but he had bled out too much & declared dead before he got to hospital. Poor kid! Poor family! They are doing okay...they have been in church both Sundays since then...which is amazing!!!

On a lighter note...we had science projects/ book reports, etc. due around here & that is always chaotic

My 18th wedding anniversary was Feb. 18th, so that was thrown in the mix.

Hubby's work has been slow, so financial stress has been kicking my butt at night...I lay awake at night w/ worrying. He seems to be getting more calls for work this week.

As for me...I am doing great...I haven't been following JUDDD at the moment...had to many other things to worry about. I pretty much do very low-carb anything. I was up 2-3 lbs. last week b'cuz of emotional stress, but it came back off this past week. I can pretty much eat whatever, any amount, as long as it's carb-free & I maintain very well...so happy w/ that! I teeter-totter around 170-171 most days...which is perfect. Anything below 175 & above 168 is what I have to be. On the TOPS awards...I have been awarded 1st place in my div., and will possibly have a chance to be State Queen for Texas Won't know until I'm on stage & it's announced

I am looking forward to spring break...3 more weeks...yeah

Anyhoo...I've written a book so far.

I have been reading posts, just no time for responding. Glad to see everyone doing well.

Talk to ya'll soon...keep on truckin'!!!!

Angela - just thinking about you and here you are! So sorry to hear about your tragedy! Please keep yourself well!

In one of the threads recently some one was talking about tummy tucks and getting insurance to pay for them. (That's what made me think of you.) I'll see if I can find the link again if you're interested.

In the meantime, take care, ok?

ETA: Here it is anyway... New Here....

down 2.8 from LDW, guess i didn't eat enough yesterday I was pretty busy and too tired and grumpy (although hungry) to bother making a snack when i finally got home last night. Will try and get those calories in today though because I really reallly don't want to stabilize too low!

Morning all P4D19 & down -.4 and inside my window though +1.6 from ldw. Still waiting for tom as last night I was headachey and very grouchy. But usually when tom leaves it takes 2 lbs with it so just need to be patient.

Not entering my food in a journal anymore is very liberating & when I get to P4D22 I won't be counting days either This is just the way it is from now on.

Today I have a work function that all they will have are appetizers & wine/beer. I know I am in P4 but I just don't want to go there kwim ? Not worth it to me or appealing anymore. So sticking to Coke Zero and wings, celery, blue cheese dressing & cheese. Also brought a little extra protein so I can have before I leave for the function. I can mingle for an hour & then go home & have dinner.

Crazy P-K Teacher, I am so incredibly sorry to hear about that sweet little boy!! My heart and prayers are with you!!

Ok, so NOT a fan of greek yogurt day. I am just not a yogurt fan in general, it tastes like rotten cream cheese to me....shudder! I lost one whole pound. I think I will stick to steak days. Here is a question though regarding GY (just to satisfy my curiosity) are you supposed to drink large amounts of water? I drank about twelve glasses yesterday but wasn't sure if I was supposed to or not.

Good morning! Stayed on plan except for a glass of wine with dinner.

Had friends over for dinner unexpectedly last night. Menu:
grilled chicken (with olive oil/spices)
huge salad with avocado and extra veggies, (low fat dressing but it's my favorite!)
grilled asparagus (with olive oil, garlic)
8oz of red wine
dessert: fresh fruit salad with whipped cream (no added sugar)

I am up .6 to 153.8 but still in my LDW of 152.6. Eating clean today and NO company!
