It's me again, and I have a question about weighing.

Can anyone tell me why is it that when I weigh myself as soon as I wake up and again a few hours later, Im 2 pounds down (not that Im complaining). But I don't know which one to go by.

I know it's weird, but I use the weight after I've had my coffee and, you know, used the bathroom... which is usually 1-2 lbs lower than when I woke up. A bit later, and it starts to go up (although I've stopped THAT much weighing - it will make you crazy.)

I think the later morning weight is because of several reasons. One, when I sleep later, I seem to get a lower reading - I think that means the "losing" is still going on - to a point. Second, I think my coffee is a bit of diuretic. And third, and most important - THE BATHROOM VISIT! What's important is that you record it from the same time every day to get a more accurate comparison (and I think the same time regarding your bathroom habit is important as well).

Heyyyyy Buttah,

Thanks for responding, I haven't been going to sleep until around 3, and I wake up at 8 to help my husband get ready for work. I weigh myself then. I weigh myself after I take a nap and it reads lower. So I guess the losing is still happening.

This is a stupid question but I'll ask anyway. Do we lose weight as we sleep?

Ha! I have no idea. But I know I have trouble sleeping while on HCG and I also wake up really early. And that THAT weight is higher than the one I get a couple hours later.
But yeah, since I'll admit I weigh before I go to bed... and it's always higher then... and even not counting my morning pee it does seem like the weight is "going away" while I sleep. I'm not sure that's an accurate scientific explanation, though.

I'm two lbs heavier when I go to bed than I am in the morning. I also notice that if I don't get much sleep I won't lose well and if I stay up all night, I won't lose at all.

Wow! I guess that means I need to go to bed!

Yea, me too. Good luck with that.
