No Weight Loss in 96 hrs and counting... What...
Lost 20 lbs from Jan 1 to Jan Jan 19 friday...then no loss from last 4 days... Looking back, eating has been good... Friday I went to Farmers Market downtown Vegas and bough a bunch if stuff, Teas, fruits, Veggies etc,... Saturday night we had a party at house and it was Vegan theme. My wife went to recommended Vegan restaurant and bought $50 in diff types of food. I knew I had to be careful as I have no idea how things were prepared. I burned 160 calories on treadmill in anticipation I might go a little overboard.
I dabbled here and there with some of the dishes... Skipped the brown rice... Had some soy dish dabbles etc... Edamame beans seasoned... Looked to be high protein low carbs on package someone brought over...next morning gained 1/2lb to 207.5. Might of been the sodium intake as I felt I did pretty good night before all things considering... Then Monday Am lost the half I gained. Next 2 days pretty much stayed same, mate 2/10 loss. So what's going on? Is this the plateau people talk about? I'm on day 23 of 42. I skipped shot today as I try to every Wednesday to not become immune to hormone. Any recommendations on how to break this funk up. Sucks I pretty much had 2000 calories over 4 days and zilcho weigh loss. 1 more thing... Only thing I did add was a late night tea I bought from farmers market non caffeine... Everything else same. Im ready for feedback. |

I haven't totally stalled but pretty slow for the last like 7 days. Looking back at my last round it was similar at this same weight. I'm hanging in there hoping for a change.

This Am, I lost 9/10 of 1 lb.... thought i might have gone over a bit for calories yesterday too...not sure..changed it up a tiny bit bc of the 4 day stall...
breakfast... normally skip til lunch..but 1 poached microwave egg 5:30am coffee and water til noon lunch;noon: Leftover white fish 3.5oz and broccali, apple snack 530pm cracker toast 30 cal...and lightly spread of hummas 20 cal dinner:7pm Cabbage/w a little cauliflower, probably 4 oz white fish w/ lemon tea: 2 cups green and smooth think im probably closer to 600 than 500... but almost lost a lb and did have a BM finally this am... we'll see how manana weigh in goes... does this mean i broke through the stall? I was so ready to do the 6 apples Pateau.... The Plateau page 24 of P&I The second type of interruption we call a “plateau”. A plateau lasts 4-6 days and frequently occurs during the second half of a full course, particularly in patients that have been doing well and whose overall average of nearly a pound per effective injection has been maintained. Those who are losing more than the average all have a plateau sooner or later. A plateau always corrects, itself, but many patients who have become accustomed to a regular daily loss get unnecessarily worried. No amount of explanation convinces them that a plateau does not mean that they are no longer responding normally to treatment. In such cases we consider it permissible, for purely psychological reasons, to break up the plateau. This can be done in two ways. One is a so-called “apple day”. An apple-day begins at lunch and continues until just before lunch of the following day. The patients are given six large apples and are told to eat one whenever they feel the desire though six apples is the maximum allowed. During an apple-day no other food or liquids except plain water are allowed and of water they may only drink just enough to quench an uncomfortable thirst if eating an apple still leaves them thirsty. Most patients feel no need for water and are quite happy with their six apples. Needless to say, an apple-day may never be given on the day on which there is no injection. The apple-day produces a gratifying loss of weight on the following day, chiefly due to the elimination of water. This water is not regained when the patients resume their normal 500-calorie diet at lunch, and on the following days they continue to lose weight satisfactorily. The other way to break up a plateau is by giving a non-mercurial diuretic for one day. This is simpler for the patient but we prefer the apple-day as we sometimes find that though the diuretic is very effective on the following day it may take two to three days before the normal daily reduction is resumed, throwing the patient into a new fit of despair. It is useless to give either an apple-day or a diuretic unless the weight has been stationary for at least four days without any dietary error having been committed. http://www.poundsandinchesaway.com/w...manuscript.pdf |

I stalled for almost a week. It happens. I refused to do an apple day "merely for psychological reasons" as well. I knew it would make me feel even more deprived and hungry. I chose to just wait it out. Be patient!

Rich, the round counts the VLCDs. So that would be how many days you actually ate the 500 calories. Do not include the load days when counting days on plan.
Good luck on getting past the plateau. That is fabulous news!!!! You can do this!!!! |

You are doing great!!
A "long" round is 40 VLCDs. The 42 days does include the loading days. If you are on rX (which you are), your round would look like this: 2 days loading with hCG 40 days VLCD with hCG 3 days VLCD without hCG 45 days total for P2 P3 3 weeks no starch/no sugar P4 varies in length given the number of rounds you've done. Of course you can stop the VLCDs with hCG any time after the 21 VLCDs. Follow with the 3 VLCDs without hCG, before P3. Last edited by kimberlybimberly; 01-26-2013 at 05:20 PM.. |

TY Support team... What a great site this is..just visited "What you cant have without"? and got some tasty Low Cal foods... Baked apples, the GF grill seems interesting, among others i liked...
Feels good to Break-through that Plateau.. if anyone stuck, just keep doing whats right to do and its just a matter of time, it will happen... trust what the VETS here say...i lost 9/10. then -1.1, -1.1, -1.1 , -1.1, the next 5 days after i broke it.... i didnt change anything, but it plays with your mind in that you think you need to change something, bc you just cant take it any Longer...Im not sure what would have happened if the next day (day 5 of stall) would have produced 0 weight Loss... Im gonna say i would have given in to the Apples (6) a day with water...hinesight..id say just hang in there... maybe a great thing to do is just to not weight yourself for a week from 2nd day of stall to 7 days later... not sure if my ticker will show below...but here goes http://tickers.tickerfactory.com/ezt...2ev/weight.png http://www.tickerfactory.com/ezticke...ner.php?type=3 Last edited by Vegas-Rich-RX; 01-27-2013 at 11:13 AM.. |
