Is unsweetened cocoa powder allowed in P2??

I am seeing conflicting information and it's not on the "approved" list for P & I. I'm looking to add a teaspoon to my coffee.

Thanks!

I believe people consider this a spice and have put it in their coffee so I think that you could try it to see how your body reacts to it.

I never did it for most of my rounds but then someone said it was considered a spice if you used it. I used it my last round and I don't know if I had any difference or not in weightloss. It does have calories, so I would count those maybe.

Thanks! Factoring it into calories for a once-in-a-while treat. It was delicious!

It is definitely considered "Rouge" but I am currently using it in Chocolate Delight and still losing. It's one of those "Your Mileage May Vary" situations.

Hmmm, I shouldn't have used it then. This is my first day of VLCD and I really wanted to stick to the protocol, and it looks like I'm rogue already. Darn it! I don't know why I thought it was ok. I think someone said that it was a spice. I guess that's left to interpretation. No more cocoa for me.

I've only had it once before today and no consequences but I am not gonna push my luck. Once in a while as a splurge!

It's not considered "rogue" by my doctor/clinic at all. It's a spice.

Exactly this!! Not rogue at all. I use it all the time in P2, and beyond I love cocoa powder in my coffee

Randi was saying that "chocolate delight" is rogue. But cocoa powder is NOT rogue at all. It is a spice!! Spices are allowed.
