Question for new round 1
Hi All,
Completely new to this site - I am doing one 23 day (30 day with cleanse and load days) to try to lose about 10-15 Lbs gained after my Rotator Cuff surgery, done back in March 2012 - really messed with my normal workouts and I gained 20 lbs over 6 months, steady 3-4 per month (sigh.....) lost 7 with HARD work.... But stalled in November no matter what I did, eating well, workouts - Dr suggested this - RX version - prefilled per measured so no guesswork (thank goodness - would have been nervous about mixing solution and filling needles etc. Never been "skinny" - never will be - I'm OK with that - just want to be my healthy weight 135-140 ... At 147 before loading - this is my first load day and I don't know if I'm doing it right - Dr said more high fat, less carbs is better? What about whole wheat Pasta? (My favorite) with Alfredo? Yes or no. I REALLY would like to have some type of potatoes in the next day but am afraid I'll pick the wrong ones. Also would love a doughnut or 3 (Krispy Kremes - I almost NEVER eat those anyway so I figured why not. But I don't want to mess this up and be starving at work through the week so ??? ![]() Sorry so long, I was just surfing and found this site Friday and have been reading and reading - so many ideas and tips that I really appreciate. Thanks for listening - I will figure out how to post stats and whatnot and update my profile. BTW, I am doing the 800 calorie a day plan so I think this is the place to be as I have a bit more leeway on my plan (so the Dr told me) with less severe restrictions on some items then the original plan. Till later Dawnie |

I think the high fat loading is important - but if you want the donut and potatoes - eat them. I don't think you can mess it up - add some butter to those potatoes and you raised your fat intake - Alfredo sauce with your pasta makes that a meal that is high in fat. It's only two days - enjoy loading!

Thanks very much - did OK first day - not so much today - didn't eat enough as I was at work and on the phones constant - 30 minute lunch as we were short-handed due to the holiday- just got home and am frozen in front of the fridge - ate almost nothing so far - should I add another day to my loading? I'm off tomorrow and will be home so would be easier to do - I have injections for a full 30 days so I cando it - really confused .....

this is my first round so i'm not expert and i'm not doing injections but i've read about people doing 3 loading days if needed. If you couldn't load today i would do another day to make sure you're ready

I would definitely add another loading day. It's crucial that you load well in order to have a successful round. In the book, "Weight-Loss Apocalypse", it says that if you don't load we'll, it can take up to two weeks of the low calorie protocol before you will start burning fat.

Thanks so much - I will add one more day of loading - I read the "original" Dr S version of the book over the last few hours and I am so glad I posted my question here and you guys responded so quickly - you have no idea how much that helped!! It really saved me from what could have been a VERY bad week or 2 and I may have given up ... So again, thank you !!!!

So how are you doing? I saw your other post in another thread and if you need help you can always come here!! We have a thread for P3 if you are interested. That way you can find out what to eat!! And how--the most important part of the protocol is to learn how to keep it off. Hope you have had a great round!
