Great news TMB! Here's to a great week for you!

i'm at over 17K steps today. Changed my dinner and had shredded zucchini, mushrooms sauteed and then added an egg with 2 whites. Delicious and hit the spot. I used my TJ's smoked salt and that really made the meal. It tasted as though i had some bacon in it or something?? wonderful.

We did my body composition, as usual and I've lost 4lbs of fat...but I gained 2lbs in water. He said I've had a gain in water the last 2 visits, so it's definitely masking the true losses. It's TOM, so he's not surprised.

That's great Booty, I sure wish I knew how they know we've lost two pounds of fat and replaced it with two pounds of water. They have the body composition scales where I go and I would love to know how they work.

Occasionally have a tbs of unsweetened cocoa in my coffee and sometimes mix in some celery with greens. I had a splurge yesterday and had 3/4 cup of broccoli (gave me heartburn!)

Some days I'm not even hungry for the fruit after dinner. I have had some veggie broth that wasn't low sodium... I just think it's my body holding on...I am 2lbs under my lowest weight in like 7 years so maybe it's just a temporary plateau.

I have 9 days left of a 40 day protocol and then 2 no drop days of VLC. I was so hoping to break into 149.9

I am not giving up though... and I DO recognize that this is going to change. I WILL get back to losing if I stay the course!

Thinking about doing an apple day tomorrow? Any thoughts?
Everytime I do an apple day, I drop two pounds - with that said, it is usually followed by a few more days of no weight lost. I love apple days.

Good report, Booty!

Thanks for the celery ideas, Walkingwoman!

Today, finally down .8 after a 5 day stall. Only 6 vlcds left... hoping for some whooshes to lose at least 20lbs in a 40 day protocol.

Best wishes to everyone!

I am hoping you make your goal. Maybe layoff the cocoa powder. I often wonder about that one, especially in P2/P3. I wouldn't do anything with sodium. Keep up with the detox baths. Do you do any lite exercise, like walking 20 mins, a few times a week?

Good luck!

I am in NJ, so I am hearing about the storm, too. Of course, I am supposed to have a whirlwind weekend with my LA visitors. Atlantic City and visits to elderly aunts may not happen.

Thanks to everyone that weighed in and helped thru the trickiest part of P3 for me. I seem to have come back down to only 3 lbs over LDW. I am going to try and get back to within 2 lbs, but I feel more relaxed about it. I'll probably do a GYD or the tuna day tomorrow or Sunday.
I worked out yesterday with a bodyworks class at the gym. It is not too much aerobic, but more a routine using 2.5/5 lb weights. I did have some egg and two whites after the class, followed by a steak day. I drank lots of tea and had a detox bath. I think all that helped me release water I was holding.
Even though, I only have a few days left on P3, I think I need to stay here for a couple weeks to ensure I've stabilized.
How long have some of you stayed in P3?

I have done one-day ff. Then, next day, correction. It is calorie confusion. That being said, I'd make sure the third day was clean with lots of protein and greens.
Good luck!

I'm not sure I ever got off P3 as I never added back in sugar or breads, pastas or potatoes. I maintained well this way for six months adding only additional types of fruits and nuts. Lots of protein and vegetables.

I usually put mustard on the celery. By no means delicious but it works.

I ate 4 TBL per day while in school and NEVER got sick. It was the only thing that worked!! Once P2 is over for you, you might want to try it! I am just now getting back into it. I know that once I am up to my 3 or 4 TBL daily I will be on P2 yet again LOL.

Anyway, I think the sugar free cold remedies are in the diabetic section. I know at the Kroger, it is there. Not sure of the pharmacies like Walgreen's. They have a diabetic section---I know that--but not sure of where they would put the cold remedies for the diabetics. So you can check both spots.
Ok so this coconut oil thing, I'll totally try that when I move into p3. How did you take it? Just ate it or what? I like to cook with it when in P3 but certainly not getting that much in a day. But with this cold I have and the thought of how many more are in my near future, I'll do anything!

DH looked for the Sugar Free Theraflu and was told it was taken off the market. The Pharmacy had him buy Wal Phed for me and said that is sugar free. He apparently had to sign some papers and stuff b/c that's the stuff that is used to make synthetic drugs like Meth so they are very careful about selling it and whatever. Lol. Took it and it didn't do anything for me. It's major head congestion and It sucks. Hope it's gone tomorrow. DH just took the LO on a bike ride to give me a break. I need to just lay down.

That sounds sooo good. I've never done Egg Whites in P2 but I totally could see doing that with some onion or something. smoked salt? That sounds awesome. I soo wish we had a TJ's.

I hope you hit that 20lb loss. Now that you broke the stall you'll probably see the scale start to move again! I hope so. 20lbs in 40 days should be doable!

Sorry your weekend plans are being killed by Snow. That's the thing about this time of year. I got married in January and was so worried that my friends and family wouldn't make it down to FL if a storm hit. We got lucky that they all made it down. Instead it rained in Miami on my outdoor ceremony

As for how long in P3, in my last round I did it for about 4 weeks before starting to add in any carbs and even then it was very slow and very small amounts. I think P3 eating is really the best way to maintain because once you start in with the carbs it can lead to a downward spiral. So for me this time P4 will really be P3 with a very ocassional indulgence.

As for me today, I'm down almost 2lbs from yesterday for a total of 5lbs lost so far not counting load weight. I'm at 160.6 and really looking forward to being back in the 150's. If i can end this round close to 150 that would be wonderful.

I started to feel some major hunger last night and didn't want a repeat of my last round so I upped my dose this morning and so far the hunger is at bay. Hoping to keep it that way b/c doing P2 while hungry is quite miserable.

The dental work yesterday seemed to work and I'm no longer in pain THANK GOODNESS. Now if I could just kick this yucky cold...

A note about Theraflu, the factory was closed for "upgrades and maintenance". It wasn't recalled or anything. In Canada, it is called NeoCitrin and our shelves are dry of the name brand due to the same factory issues. You can find generics.

Yep, no fat fasts or cd's in P2 unless you are rogue. If you want to bust a stall and stick close to protocol (other than using the apple day), you could do an all protein day or a mini-steak day where you fast all day and eat a double portion of protein with a tomato for dinner.

How about with cottage cheese? I enjoy a savory cottage cheese so I mix the 3.5oz portion with salt and pepper and spices (and the milk portion if you use it) and use the celery for scoops. If you blend it up in a blender or food processor, it turns out very like dip. Also, I've never done it but if you like a sweet cottage cheese, you could mix your fruit in with the cottage cheese to bulk it up and dip your celery in that. Just a couple of thoughts...

I have a fitbit and it records my steps and it encourages me to get in a certain number. If I don't wear it I tend to think I've done enough walking/movement for the day and know I've been in denial. It challenges me. It is a glorified pedometer but I like it's features and it syncs to my computer so I have feedback. I have the scale made by the same company and it syncs too. Nice to see what works and what doesn't for me with the combo of the walking, food log and the scale. Love it.

When I am hungry above and beyond my normal meals, I sometimes have a little celery which I sprinkle with salt. For some reason, the salt makes it much more palatable to me.

I'll try it with the salt. I just don't like celery. I'm determined to learn to like it this round. If you have enough of something, sometimes you can develop a liking. I ate it yesterday and today, and will again tomorrow and the next day until I'm out of this bunch and go buy some more.

I also read someone was using L Glutamine in a glass of water to quench a hunger. I tried it today, just 1/4 tsp in a glass of water and I wasn't hungry for several hours. This was cool!

If you blend it up in a blender or food processor, it turns out very like dip. Also, I've never done it but if you like a sweet cottage cheese, you could mix your fruit in with the cottage cheese to bulk it up and dip your celery in that. Just a couple of thoughts...
Shelby, when you use cottage cheese on P2, do you purchase fat free, low fat or full fat? I want to try this "dip", sounds good!

My doctor says no cottage cheese and no eggs. If you do cottage cheese, what type do you get? I like the 2%, but the skim tastes weird. Have you ever tried it with Penzey's sandwich sprinkle? Delicious!

It's also good to keep it wrapped up tight in aluminum foil.. it keeps way better that way.

Hi all! After the rude interruption with my NON-homeopathic and hormone-free drops, I am now on VLCD1 of the "real drops". The loading I did hugely as I want to go by the book completely!

A couple of quesions.... what is the guidelines for vitamins/supplements that we are allowed to take that will NOT mess with our hcg therapy?

I know I have referred to this before in another thread but for sake of more info.... is it a concern if there are NO taste to the drops? They are tasteless like water. Very different from the other drops but they had alcohol in them.
