I just lost one too!

Anyway want to know if I could join you ladies? I've done rounds before but have not maintained. I'm on VLCD21 and down 16.4 lbs. Right now I'm in a very slow loss mode around .2 a day. But this seems to happen to me around days 18-20 and then things pick up again. I planning at least a 30 day round, but if losses are still good and I'm not worn out I might go for 40.

Marva: The same thing happened to me with the scale. When I weighed it was 214.0. I always weight myself twice and the next reading was 214.8. I must have tried 10 times to get that 0 back but no such luck. Must have been my tired eyes.

Anyway, I look forward to getting to know everyone.

Wow your menu looks yummy. I am not very fit at all, more like unfit, but I joined the Y so I make sure to get out at lunch time. I have push myself. Do you think its okay, since I'm not used to exercising if I just do maybe 20 or 30 minutes of walking on the tread mill. Hubby and I don't want to waste money on a membership that I don't use and it's really my only real exercise, I sit in front of a puter all day long otherwise.

I'm a newly returning person too. Nice to meet you. I was down to the low 160's and now I'm up above 180 which frightens me dearly. Some fear can be good. I don't fit into but 2 pairs of pants and one dress. Now that's ugly and very uncomfortable. I'm not buying bigger clothes! I JUST LOVE THIS SUPPORT GROUP, IT'S THE BEST!!!

I can't wait to get below 180 again--I'll be jumping for joy. At least this challenge allows me to connect with wonderful people.

Even though I didn't stick to protocol yesterday for snacks, I still lost. I can't believe it. I ate an entire "snack size" bag of Funyuns, which was about 350 calories. I really feel like I'm pressing my luck so I'm going to try to do better today.

I have been sticking exactly to protocol for my main meals, though.

Day 2 load: 194
VLCD 1: 195
VLCD 2: 193.5
VLCD 3: 192.5
VLCD 4: 192

I exercised my first round and did very well and I'm doing this round well too so it seems to be nothing but positive for me and I am not normally a walker beyond the necessary stuff I'm not sure how it impacts results but I will say that I have lost every single day this round and hope to continue to do so Could just be lucky but I think I'm doing something right I guess I don't consider walking to be intense exercise and so I think it's fine. Maybe some of the hcg experts will pop in and offer up some different opinions. At the end of the day I like knowing I put in my best efforts and I never regret my walking.

Nice to meet you too. I was down to 207 my last round, but gained it all back. Yesterday was the first day I actually felt smaller and I haven't been losing that well the last few days. I'll be doing my measurement tomorrow so we'll see if that's where I'm losing. I know what you mean about the clothes. I barely have enough that fit to get me through the work week. But like you I refuse to buy bigger clothes.

I'm going away with my sisters on April 4th and I want to lose as much as I can by then, but I also want to be firmly into P3 when we go so hopefully I'll be stable with my weight.

Lori, If I want something other than protocol, I just tell myself "I can't have those right now - they will be here when I'm done with this" Anything other than protocol can cause a stall - beware.

Hi All,

Stopping in to say a quick hello from P3.

I'm on day 4 of P3 and doing well with maintenance so far.

I am currently at .2 Below my LIW which is great especially b/c I've been eating liberally (Cheese, almond butter, SF Chocolate Covered Almonds, Cold Cuts etc) and doing well.

I hope you're all seeing good losses and are doing great!

KUTGW!

Yes! Especially since "one serving" on the package seems OK -- until you read that the entire package is actually 2.5 servings!

I actually was looking for Pirate's Booty, which would have been lower calories and lower fat, but the drugstore was sold out of them.

I'm out of apples, so I will need to go to the grocery store today. I'm also low on spinach and I'm low on protein choices too. I only have enough for 2-3 more meals.

Oh and I wanted to say I feel everyone's pain who lost and then regained. Last spring I was down to 173 (low calorie/low fat + Alli) and I put back on 20 pounds. I have major foot and ankle issues -- in March I started experiencing very bad heel pain, then just when that was gone I sprained my left ankle. As soon as that was healed I sprained my right ankle in November. So overall my mobility was severely compromised last year.

I basically sprain an ankle every few years or so. My foot doctor says it will just be chronic for the rest of my life at this point. So I'm hoping having less weight will help me minimize any future injuries.

I don't eat them often because they have MSG, which often doesn't agree with me. I actually only got them because my first choice wasn't available and I didn't want to go to a second store.

Hi Ladies,

Instead of grissini bread sticks, my HCG coach recommended non-GMO blue corn chips to equal amount of calories. I got pretty hungry this afternoon, so I went to the store and got some of those. I had my two Biz Shakes for breakfast and lunch. I don't know if it's cause of day 2 past loading or just cause the shakes don't hold me as well as an apple for breakfast and a regular protein and veggie lunch, who knows? I just cannot stay at this weight. I have let myself go with excuses for way too long. I want to stay on this round at least 3 weeks til around the 21st and then stabilize on p3 by my birthday March 30th. One day at a time, sweet Jesus, sometimes one moment at a time.

Hugs,

Adeline

Day 8... recovering from the weekend.
I'm finding it easy and hard this 2nd time. It's easier in the aspect that I'm not afraid of things and I know what's going to happen, hard in the aspect that .... well sort of for the same reasons. I don't have as many lbs to lose this round so I'm finding myself being lazy and negligent with my diet. I keep thinking, "I have time and days to lose this weight, let's just have a little treat tonight." This morning I told myself I need to get my head straight otherwise I'm just taking the drops for no reason, a whole round gone to waste if I don't smarten up.
I know beating myself up isn't a great idea and I'm trying to not get depressed or even lazier but I do need to take some responsibility for my actions and stop the madness.
Something new this round for me is having meals prepared or at least my protein ready to be heated up, I like having that ready but I'm still struggling to find a really yummy recipe, you know, a good ol' reliable dish. Everything I make smells good and the idea in my head is good but it tastes yucky and then I choke it down and almost instantly want something else so my taste buds can be happy. For instance I made these ground chicken meatballs, I wanted a 1 dish meal so I pulverized some broccoli and made almost like little chicken broccoli meatballs. There were spices and Bragg's too and it smelled so good while baking... they're not bad but the broccoli really stands out so my palete isn't satisfied. I'm also a lover of sauces so with being lazy and kind of poor right now I have been eating things dry which gets to me a little.
I think I'm going to try to build a shephard's pie type dish with cauliflour as my mashed potato and ground chicken as my base, there's got to be a way to make like a gravy type juice/sauce that I could put with the meat. Now in my mind this is going to be wonderful. I'm already dreading what it will really taste like lol.

I am curious too. I have been back and forth with adding it in because I hear both sides of the story and don't know what is "true". This round I have not eaten the melba just "because". Didn't need it. Not hungry for it and boy is that just dry. I added it back in on Friday at lunch time "just because" and my stomach cramped for the rest of the day. I was in agony. I didn't feel I was gluten intolerant, but after that episode I am reluctant to add it back in. I might just experiment tonight to see if I am truly intolerant or if it was just a fluke and I will be fine to include it.

Ugh, this should not be this hard

I am down another 1.2 pounds for a 21.6 pound loss in 26 VLCD. I feel like I am still having big losses after my 5 day TOM stall. Yay! The 170s are just around the corner. I am hoping to end up in the low 170s. We shall see

I just love the sea salt grissinis I can find at Safeway here in Vancouver. They satisfy my need for "crunch". I also enjoy the Wasa with a spoonful of the "sexy stevia strawberry jam" as an occasional treat.

I had a huge walking day yesterday. 31K!! I'm really into my fitbit
Girl dont you hat that. Especially when its a big one, and you've said all this great stuff and wham you computer has a brain fart and it just diappears. Ugh! you can never repost exactly. its so annoying! So was I right about the FITBIT is it a step counter?

Brenda the scale is so crazy. I know I saw it because it saved to my #1 position. But I have been saving to #2. When I went on today to weight my number #1 position said 288.0 and that was my wieght today the same! Crazy of course my #2 position said I'd lost .8lb. Go figure. Just glad to be going down!. oh and

Adeline, Dr Simeon seems to shy away from any type of excercise other than moderate like walking and swimming. Things that will not make you retain water as much or gain muscle which would hinder the scale. So walking is fine, even if it was on 10min.

Lori, i would caution you to be careful with snacks off Protocol. You may lose now, but may have difficulty stablizing in P3/P4. I have a size xl junior /womens shirt I keep hanging up within my view everyday. Even when I am not in the room that is what keeps me away from stuff not good for me. Its either you eat this, or you wear this shirt. which one do you want? Hands down its always the SHIRT!

Lifeisgood, glad to know its about week three. That seems to be right. I mean I dropped consideriably from 5-7lbs a week down to 1. Then stall every other day. Glad to know it eventually balances out!!!

Bitsky I truly believe that if your HEAD is not in the right place you cannot lose weight period! Reguardless of the plan you are using. You have to decide this is it, not more, I am ready nothing is gonna take me of this course. Now I did hcg the first time in Jan 2011. Literally it took me 2 years to get my head together to do it again. I tried half-ass a little last year, but I wasnt 100% committed. So if you think your not "in it to win it" as they say. Then take a step back, get you head in the game an then you will breeze through. Believe me its no easy for me. I have a 12year old I cook for everday. Who eats cookes, cakes, fried anything, and other than the occassionally smelling of things I am not tempted to eat anything. Because I WANT to be a normal healthy size more than I want a temporary snack!

Congrats to everyone losing today! Enjoy your journey!

Cheating On HCG Diet Quickly Leads to Weight Gain and Hunger

Unlike most diets, one can cheat on a meal or two and make up for it on the following

day. The HCG diet works differrently. It takes a few days for all of the elements of the HCG Food Plan and Diet to come together. .

Once there is even a little cheating, the newly eaten sugar and fat are used for

metabolism first, and the stored fat is no longer mobilized. The spikes and drops

in blood sugars cause hunger and weight gain.

I walk for exercise on P2, it doesn't seem to slow losses for me but then again I am only weighing 1x a week so I can't see the fluctutations.

Again, thanks for all the input everyone! I am doing much better today. No rogue Funyuns for me!

Question: I seem to have contracted a mild cold. Runny nose and my head is a bit fuzzy. Something I read said only aspirin is allowed with HCG. Any other suggestions? What else could be permissible? I'd love to take Sudafed to stop the runny nose.
