![]() Did i say I was 288.8 I am so happy I reached another goal. Under 290 yeah! So now let me tell you how much of a baby I have been the last three days which is why I havent posted. I woke up the day after I hit 290 to being up 3.2lbs I am determined to see this phase through so even that wasnt putting me off the plan. It was just a little side road I had to travel. I ate perfect on plan and wallah... 2lbs gone. I would have been happy for 289. So 288 is just ... ![]() ![]() ![]() I have no words. now TMB i am sorry you have a headache. I take liquid advil. even on protocol, i have horrible migranes so i have to stop them in the tracks before they get bad. Hope you feel better. Dont you hate talking to someone who is not familiar with HCG protocol. I know the feeling. You do what you think is best for you. Avy, i am sorry the protocol is not working a fast as you'd like. You know HCG is not for everone. I am not saying it wont work for you, obviously you are losing. But if the low carb works just as well then maybe thats the better plan for you. I think what HCG does in my opinion is help you find where you need to be. For me i love atkins/low carb, I even like weight watchers. But since turning 40 losing weight has been a big fat bear of a nightmare. So far only HCG has worked consistantly everytime. But I know other people who either hormonally or some other reason cannot do it. I say always finish what you start, so completing the 21days is the most reasonable way to go. Then perhaps stick with p3 which is basically low carb. Everyone else hope you are enjoying your journey. Welcome to the newcombers. I love this forum. Its always great to have someone who understands what your going thru to talk with or bounce ideas off. oh, has anyone heard of a Pomelo. Its sometype of grapefruit, a little bigger, and I think just a tad sweeter. I bought one today wondering if anyone is familiar with them? ciao Marva

Thanks! I agree with you. I will finish the round because I paid for it and because I want to do the protocol right. If the changes I made this week don't work, then I will definitely not do another. If I start losing .5 a day again on average, then it'll be worth it.

vlcd 12
Ok, so my computer is possessed, and I have lost my responses to posts TWICE in the past hour, so just know that I am sending warm welcomes to the newbies, high fives to those who are moving on to P3, and I am jumping for joy for those who are kicking butt and finding themselves in smaller sizes! Finally, I am sending hugs to those who are struggling....it is so hard sometimes, but stick with it.
I screwed up on Friday. I got cocky, and let my husband convince me that I could have a glass of wine. I had two. That little slip caused me to wake up 1.5 pounds heavier. It's what I deserve, though. I am still at 168.5 two days later, but I feel like I am shrinking today and my hunger has been almost zero, so I am hoping for forward progress tomorrow. I just have to dust myself off and get back to it. I leave for Cancun in three weeks. I will be well past my 21 days, but I am seriously considering taking it up to the 3 days just before I leave, transitioning to P3 for the week of my vacation, and then getting back to it when I get back. (Basically, an interruption). I know I will be able to eat P3 style with no problem--it is how I prefer to eat anyway. BUT, I don't think I will be at goal, and I do not want to wait 6 weeks to get back to P2. That is what I'm considering, anyway! Well, I'm going to hop off here before my computer dies AGAIN and I lose this post, too! It is SNOWY here in Colorado, and we are all hoping for a snow day tomorrow.....crossing my fingers, for sure! Kay

I've seen them at Costco, they're HUGE. I'd love to know how you like it, Marva! Maybe check their nutrition stats, to be careful? I think they weigh in substantially more than grapefruit.

I don't think 1/2 of these would be worth 1/2 of a grapefruit. Very Huge indeed. They are also a little sweeter, so beware.

How bout a Pomelo is the orginal grapefruit. A grapefruit is a mixture of a pomelo and orange. I had no idea. Yes its bigger than my grapefruit, but only slighly. I tried not to by a very big one. When you open it, it has way more rind than a grapefruit, so not as much fruit inside. But I will only eat 1/4 or so and see how it goes. The information on lines makes them almost idential in most things like ur eating just a bigger grapefruit. If you cannot eat grapefruit you cannot eat pomelo.

congrats on nice losses ladies. Today is day 2 of loading for me. Tomorrow will be the challenge since its a Monday, I've got some relationship stuff going on at work, it's been a long time since I went on a round and we had guests today, so I didnt' get to do my regular shopping to get prepared for tomorrow so I will need to hit the market and get what I need. I have an apple for my breakfast but I need to defrost some chicken breast and eat some very poor tasting fish for dinner that I had trouble eating last round. I loaded very well today, so I'm expecting a significant gain tomorrow. I focused on high fat but then I had some mouse cake in the afternoon which I think took me over the top.
2/23/13 Day 1 Load 185 2/24/13 Day 2 Load 184

thank you so much for the welcome! I cannot explain how much it means to me and to hear your joy over the hcg working for you. I'm doing hcg injection and I'm at a very scary number that I haven't seen in a couple of years and could cause me a panic, but what good would that do.

My friends invited me to dinner on March 2. They just canceled. To tell you the truth I'm really happy because now I won't have to stray from protocol.

I have had those days. Actually was Superbowl and I was just starting HCG. I told my son... I am not going. I didnt want people asking me why I couldnt have this or that. I didnt want to have to defend or explain the protocol. I hate when people call it a diet, when its not. So I know exactly how you feel! My ticker is not working ug. ![]() |

Read all the posts and just wanted to say
to all of you who had great releases these past few days. Hang in there to those of us who are still working the protocol. I am down 11 lbs. and am on VLCD day #8 so pretty happy about that.I had to eat out on Saturday. DS came home from the Army after 5 years so the celebration was on. I was pretty proud of myself because we went to Carrabas and as you may or may not know it is an Italian resturant. The good thing is that DS#2 is the grill cook and I was able to order a 5 oz. grilled chiceken breast with no seasonings of grill baste and some steammed green beans(I now the green beans are not protocol but it was the best I could do). The only oil that possibly was on the chicken was from the grill and my son said that he had cleaned the grill off where he placed my chicken so I think it was fine. I believe this was the first time that I ordered a meal at a resturant just the way I wanted it and it came that way. I also had a small side salad dry and ordered lemon wedges for my dressing and drank water. I was pretty pleased with myself that night and know I can do it again if need be. I told my hubby no more eating out for me and that he could do more celebrating with DS on his own. ![]() So ordering out can be done but it is a slippery slope when on protocol. Have a nice Monday everyone and keep up the releases. |

Maggie--I went out this weekend too! We chose Carolina Ale house. Typical American food. They had a steak salad and that is exactly what it was LOL. Steak on top of a salad. I didn't eat much of the steak (there was not much to begin with) because my youngest son wanted some. I did order the low fat Italian--it was the only low cal dressing. The salad was just lettuce, tomato and cucumber. I did not eat the tomato and had 1 slice of cucumber. I gained 0.4 of a lb yesterday, and it is sticking with me today. BUT I also have TOM in the house so I expect it to go soon with a great whoosh! Just gonna keep on plan today. Hope for the best tomorrow.
So, yes. As Maggie says, you can eat out on plan. It may be harder in some places though. So just do the best you can with what you are offered. I was thinking of just doing a coffee or tea while out, but decided not to because they had steak! And we had a great night!!!

Hi everyone,
I've come back ashamed after a very long absence and regaining 24 of the 30 pounds I lost last year. I decided not to load this time because I keep loading then fall off plan right away and just gain. Hoping I won't struggle with too much hunger because of it. Anyway, today is VLCD 1...hoping for the best this time! Do you mind if I join your group? Last edited by doxielove; 02-25-2013 at 07:34 AM.. |

Progress!
I'm completely new to HCG, so I'm still a little in disbelief about my progress. It's like I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop and my weight loss is going to stop any second. But then I read everyone's experiences and I am so amazed. I can only hope that I'll have a similar experience. Day 2 load: 194 VLCD 1: 195 VLCD 2: 193.5 VLCD 3: 192.5 |

It's still so hard to believe! Almost like a dream. The only other program that I've done that has worked for me is Alli combined with a low fat/low calorie diet, and even then I would only lose 1/2 - 1 pound per WEEK. Losing that much per DAY just seems impossible.
My mother is getting remarried in May (my dad died in July 2011) and I'd like to look decent in pictures for that occasion. I truly hope that this continues to work for me. |
