I'm feeling much better tonight. Maybe it's just taking me a little longer to get used to the difference in calories and fat between the loading days and the VLCDs. Also I just downed another 24 ounces of water, and I'm going to have some hot tea now. Hopefully tomorrow I won't feel as hungry. |

I'm completely POP, the original protocol, I don't mix veggies or eat anything that wasn't on the original plan by Dr. S. I don't repeat the same foods in a day and I try to vary each day a little so it's not the same foods every day.
I don't eat the grissini because I'm wheat free, so I eat a larger portion of veggies to keep my calories up for the day, and use lots of spices with my cooking. I drink 2 tbsp of ACV with 32 oz of water throughout the day...another 32 oz of plain water, oolong tea and yerba mate tea as well. Every.Single.Day. I do an Epsom salt/baking soda detox bath every Sunday night. Lemon with water on waking 16 oz decaf with 1 tbsp milk Apple baked with cinnamon and stevia, or 1/2 grape fruit or 1 orange, or 7 strawberries 100g chicken, shrimp, tilapia, or very lean beef (1-2 a week on the beef) usually with 2 cups spinach, or shredded cabbage, or 8 spears of asparagus, or 1-2 cups chopped celery, or radishes Repeat a fruit choice from above for the afternoon Repeat a protein and veggie choice for dinner I don't use any oils at all, I cook with no salt broth or dry. I use pure spices with no additives or sugars. I made chocolate delight, I eat 1-2 tbsp a day some days, doesn't seem to slow down or speed up the losses. I will ditch them Monday though and see if it helps. The biggest annoyance for me is the strict protocol for so little reward. :| I could be losing as fast and enjoying all the foods I normally do and LC treats. Bah.

I will, although for the first week I wasn't using it, and the losses were as pathetic lol. I actually added it because I was so frustrated with the progress and unsatisfied. The next day I had my biggest drop since on protocol, other than the first couple days with the load weight, which hardly counts. If I start seeing impressive results, .5 lbs a day, I will extend my protocol for sure, until that happens, I plan to stop at 21 days, and stabilize in P3.
Maybe I'm jumping the gun though, the first day after the CD I lost 1.4 or 1.6 lbs then I saw the stalling, before that it was about .4-.6 a day, still low for a first week, compared to almost everyone I see posting, but, I'd be happy with those numbers in week 2-4. I haven't used chocolate delight this round, but I did a few years back when I first tried homeopathic. My rounds were decent, but I had a very hard time with cravings during the rounds. I couldn't stabilize properly and thus gained all my weight back.
Others have no problem with it at all! I have had coconut oil a total of twice this round. Once, on Valentine's day I let my boyfriend cook the halibut in a pan with coconut oil. Today, my head was hurting and I was truly hungry so I added 1/2 tbsp to my morning coffee. |

Yes, I noticed it too, but wasn't sure what was going on.. I'm sorry to hear that, Avy.. maybe it will pick up once you omit the chocolate crack? I hope so!

Avy,
Definately ditch the chocolate delight. I used it my last round but not every day. Once every couple of weeks I'd make a batch with 1 TBS CO, no more. Also Dr. Simeon says no supplements. I supplemented with a vitamin a few times and noticed that on those days I'm so hungry. I'm ditching the supplements this week. |

I haven't been able to shake this headache. So glad this is the last day of P2. I'm going to take my measurements later for an official P2 summary.

Avy, I admire you for sticking to the meal plan
It seems like it has to be the chocolate (lol, this is the first time I've read about it and anyone eating it in p2. LOL. thankful because I bet I would have tried it and been a hot mess!) Maybe I am waaaaayyyy out of line but I don't know that I wouldn't just go off, reload and start a new round? just an idea. Sucks that you've put in so much effort already and not getting the results![]() I hit 15 pounds today! in 20 vlcd's! woohoo! of course I'm continuing on to 20 pounds with any luck I'll be there soon! I ordered the mega Ninja kitchen system and it will arrive at the end of the week and I'm dying to start using it so if I'm not done with p2 I guess I'll use it for sorbet or maybe a soup or two until I hit p3 and can make some green shakes. I actually ordered it for my dd because they needed a food processor and this one has the attachment and they wanted to do the green shakes so I got it and told them I just wanted to give it a whirl for a week or so and see if I like it or we'll get a different machine. I almost ordered the vitamix last weekend but this one is obviously cheaper and my dd has limited storage space for a machine so this one looks like it would fill the bill. Smaller container (48 oz) and it comes with 2 indy cups too. We'll see. I may still go the vitamix route for me. Need to look further into it. I make my sorbet now with my food processor, no prob. Ok, enough about my purchases Today's steak, spinach and strawberries x 2, vitamins (no problem with them for me I don't think. I can't imagine my stats improving?) at least 100 oz water, min 15K fitbit steps and early to bed! |

I have some movement in the right direction! My scale only measures in 1/2 pound increments.
I also need to do body measurements. I will do that today. Day 2 load: 194 VLCD 1: 195 VLCD 2: 193.5 |

Thanks! I was taking them throughout the day, just like normally during low carb, for the best results. I think I will ditch the CD before the supplements, since i was taking most of them before the stalling, and I "know" the CD came in at the same time as the stall, now that I think about it. If that doesn't work then I'll ditch the l-glutamine and magnesium, which I added at the same time. So, we'll see on the scale tomorrow if I see a loss at all.
