Ending the round on an apple day can cause "rebound". That means that the loss may not stick. And there are those who do apple days and lose great the day after, but stall the NEXT day. Doesn't happen to everyone, but it can happen. I have done apple days and done well but won't do one when I am finishing up a round, or too close to the end of a round.

The other concern is that if you end on an apple day, you may have an "artificial low" LDW. You count the drop in weight from the apple day (which might be a full lb or more) as your LDW and it can mess you up in P3. In order to prevent any last minute lows that can be too low to stick to when you count LDW as the weight lost from an apple day, you might have a hard time keeping to a low LDW during P3.

I would avoid an apple day at the tail end of a round and advise anyone who is considering one AT the tail end of a round to not do one. Any other time---I love them

hello everyone, just a quick stop to say hello. Lost 1.2lbs today so happy. Put on a pair of trousers I wear that I thought were 24. They fit so great, and were a little longer, I could tell I am defintely losing. But guess what, they were a 22. yeah! even better. I would love to be high 16 or even at the low end of 18 when I finish this round. Fingers crossed....

TMB congrast 20lbs down. Don't ya just love to say I lost 20bls.

Reddy, sorry to hear your having a catch 22. I know how that sucks. This month my period was a day late in starting too. And my weight was just all over the place. Even though it only last like 4-5days, seems like it took 7 days for it to really be over and forthe scale to show it. Sometimes you have to do exactly what you said take it day by day.

lifeisgood how exactly do you feel squishy? i mean what is that?

Everyone else, i hope your enjoying your journey!

So, I was up by a 1/2 pound this morning to 169.5. Not sure what is up there, but I did have a decent bathroom experience (what was the nickname for that again? Bertha? ha? I can't remember!). Hopefully that helps with everything. It is day seven, and I am still at 169--this is day three. This is exactly where I got stuck last time, and I did not push through, I just gave up. I'm pretty sure that if I had been logging in here, I would have stuck it out. I am definitely determined to stick it out this time, even though today was rough...

My new pellets still have not arrived, and so I have been using a remaining bottle of drops that I have. (I bought them last summer, but did not open them until late last fall). I'm fairly certain that they are inactive--I have felt pretty weak all day and hungry in a way that I shouldn't be, especially 7 days in. But I know that the pellets will probably be here tomorrow--on Friday at the latest, so I am trying to just push through. I've stuck with the protocol, and I'm drinking lots of water w/ ACV. I guess this unintentional two days w/o hcg is what I deserve after not transitioning to P3 correctly over the past several rounds! Now I know what to expect at the end of THIS round!

I am hoping that I will see a drop tomorrow. I really feel like if I can just get past this stupid 169 number that things will start moving down as they should be!

Anyway, even though I have lots to do--grading, cleaning, homework with the kids, I just feel cloudy and strange, so I will probably go to bed. I know that this discomfort won't last long, and that I certainly have plenty of fat for my body to live on while I wait for my pellets. Wish me luck!

Kay

That awesome moment when it's 6:30 and you realize you forgot to eat your first fruit of the day! I still have 1.5 hours of work and then dinner won't be until 9:00pm So happy to be able to eat this right now.

quezsmom: might have to defer to TMB to answer what does squishy mean. She explained it to me. Wish I could find were she posted that. It has something to do with the fat cells that release fat, then fill up with water before releasing. You feel all jiggly.

It's the jiggly poof phenomenon. I find that before I have a woosh, my fat seems squishier. I think it's because the cells have filled with water.

I think Dawn Explained it pretty well. I did do an apple day like 2 days before my last dose last time and it was ok, but at this point I don't have enough days left to do an apple day. Also a lot of people say you see a loss after an apple day and then not much for the next few days anyway. IDK. If I was going to do it, I should have done it on Monday.

That's awesome that the pants were smaller than you thought and that they felt loose! I love that feeling. I remember after my first round going "shopping" in my closet and finding all of these pants that I could wear again and it was so awesome! Keep it up!

I'm sorry to see you struggling but you keep posting and keep it up and you WILL see the results. Especially once you get your new HCG! Crossing my fingers that the scale is kind to you.

That was me the first round. I would forget to eat! Love that!

As for me, I'm 99% sure today was my last dose. Well see what scale says in the morning but I'm pretty sure I'm done. I want to go out for my girlfriends bday on Sat night... and if today is last dose, Sat would start P3 and I can have a glass or two of wine which I REALLY want to do! If the number is down a lb or more, I may consider sticking it out another day or two.

Help! Did I blow it?

I took out a piece of meat this am for dinner. Threw it on the George Forman grill...... It was not steak it was pork.......
Has any of you had a major problem eating the wrong type of meat?
Thanks for any answers you may have.

Strangers don't always hand me giant chocolate bars on the street, but when they do...it's when I'm on P2.

Seriously, some random guy gave me a giant caramilk bar for no reason.

I hope vaseline is OK in P2, cause I just slathered my cracked hands with it! Now my keyboard is sticky

Stalled today - can't wait for TOM to leave town so I can get on with the weight loss!

Thanks for any answers you may have.
Sumeto, I always had my best weight losses when I ate chicken and fish.

However, chicken thighs and legs are dark meat and fattier, so I always eat the chicken breast. I would think that pork is a fattier meat and -- for me -- would not be a good choice for a round of hCG.

The plan I follow (through my doctor) allows for turkey sausage, turkey bacon, and Canadian bacon. When I ate those, however, I didn't lose weight optimally. Not because of fat content, but because of sodium.

I'd say that any meat that has a higher content of fat or sodium may be okay, but it's been my experience that eating chicken and fish yields greater losses.

My two cents...

That's fantastic, Maggie! Thanks for the information about the celery in my journal. I had several pieces last night.

Have a great day!
