OK, so went a little rogue last night according to Dr. Simeon. Ate Cauliflower since it is on some lists that are approved. Scale UP 1 lb this morning. Hmmm, do ya think Dr. Simeon knew what he was doing? Absolutely.

Let the stall begin...
. STILL 171.5, and not sure why . Totally on protocol, calorie total of 493. However, I did a quick measurement of my waist, just to see, and I AM down 2.5 inches around my waist, so that is good. (I knew I had to have shrunk--my stomach is empty!) I also woke up with a screaming headache, but that may have been due to the fact that I woke up later than usual and had not had any coffee yet ! Hoping that a cup or two will make it fade... Another factor is that my scale doesn't read "tenths," only .5 pound increments. So it is possible that I AM dropping a bit, it's just not showing up on my scale. I was really hoping to be in the 160's by this morning, but I guess that is not going to be the case. This is what happened during the past (few) failed rounds this fall where I stalled REALLY early on. In those cases, I bailed and just stopped taking the drops and began eating "normally" (translation: poorly!) without transitioning. This time, I really feel like it is important to make it through the entire process, which includes transitioning OFF of P2 to P3, into a normal P3 in order to perhaps re-set this experience. I might just not lose that much this round, and will need to plan to do another "real" round later in the spring after P3/P4. Regardless, I am bound to lose weight, even if it isn't much. But, I have to say, it is difficult to maintain the restricted meal options when the scale doesn't move. I really need to reset my thinking to looking at THIS round as NOT a weight-loss round, but a cleansing, detoxing round where I clear my system of all chemicals/inflammation/etc... and one where the weight loss is just a bonus. Hard to do, as my psyche is so geared to the scale and how I look. I will need help to keep this mindset. ![]() ![]() ![]() -Kay

Kay, great job on losing those inches! I love my scale. It is an Aria and goes with my friend, the fitbit. It syncs to my computer so I have a record of my scale recordings. Very nice to look at and review and you're right, if you lost .4 would it show and go up to .5 or wait till you lost .5 or above? You've got a really good attitude about this process. Wishing you a positive day and a negative on the scale tomorrow
Tmb, congrats on your loss! ![]() |

Saw this quote yesterday: Some people come into our lives as a blessing, others to teach us a lesson Or something like that. And my thoughts were, Ain't THAT the truth! So 15lbs in a month is pretty remarkable without doing it via HCG so big congrats to you! I always did my induction super high fat too, I think for me it worked well but then It sort of slowed down after about 2 months and I was just plateaued, which is why I gave HCG a try. Whatever works for you, that's AWESOME! Quote:

So I am up this morning .6.
![]() Tom is due tomorrow or Tuesday so I suspect that has something to do with it. Seeing as how this is my last week, I'm kind of worried that I"m not going to see any more losses before the round ends because I'd be moving into P3 right when TOM ends so I feel like the next few days are going to be in vain. STill I don't want to just call the round b/c I am pretty sure it's important to follow the protocol and stay on VLCD for at least 21 days so I'm going to do it even if it's painful and depressing. I also know I didn't drink enough water yesterday so maybe that has something to do with it. At this point, I'll be happy to lose another 2lbs before it's all over. If I can end and stabilize around 155 though, that's ok. I just need to accept it. Still I HATE TOM and how it causes gains and stalls. GRRRRR |

Oh also, another TOM observation/ question...
has anyone found that TOM combined with HCG = more moodiness or more extreme pms? I feel like I"ve seen that talked about here but I personally never noticed it in previous rounds. I always get a little cranky or overly sensitive right before my period but this time it's like SUPER PMS. Like watch out or I may come and bite your head off kind of PMS. Wonder if the HCG has anything to do with it. ![]() |

walkingwoman, way to go.. down is down right even .2. Way to go.
Kaylem, i feel ya hon, i stalled this week. had 0 loss on the scale one day, to up 2lbs the next. I was fighting mad with that scale. But your right, your mind set is everything. You have to have a mindset of completely the protocol reguardless of the daily results. P1-P4 that helps take some of the stress off watching the scale. ![]() Lifeisgood, you know there are so many sites that have off protocol advice. Its hard to know if it will work for you. I found this one hcg chef but her food is all p3, but she claims to have lost weight eating this food on P2. She calls the recipies HCG recipies. My thought is dont tell people its okay to mix veggies or eat off plan. It may have worked for you, but it may not work for someone else. No harm in trying, but be prepared for it not to work in the long run. At least it was only 1lb. I am sure if your back POP it will come right back off. Avy /TMB horray on another loss! ![]() I unfortunately am up .4lb. I know why too... i didnt drink my water. I normally drink 8 16oz bottles of water. Some how last night I looked down and I still had like 4 bottles left, it may have even been 5 (one was hiding ) Dr S. talks about how important water is, and I believe him. Chalked up to learning experience, will drink all my water today

![]() i see we are on the same track today. No water = no loss I will say thought that my TOM seems to effect the scale before it starts, during and a litte after. So I would give myself an extra day or two for the effects of TOM to really leave your body before you believe the scale. ![]() |

You sound like my sister. Funny we are both losing weight at the same time. Never happened before. But, she doenst like water. She was like does crystal lite count? I was like NO, okay a little. But she started slowly and is working her way to 8 glasses a day. But you know for every 50lbs over your normal weight you have to add another 8oz glass. So I told her we need to be at like 10-12. Drinking 1 glass of water before each meal is a good way to start. |

Well, I got off pretty lightly, all things considered... only up 0.1 lbs this morning. I guess all the extra water helped!!
TMB, I drink a lot of my water hot or at least warm, with a bit of lemon juice and sweetener in it. I find it goes down *much* easier that way. Also, when I do the orange julius, I tend to refill the container with water a couple of times to get all the residue left in the blender. I love my P2 OJs... lol QuezsMom, I go to the TJ's in Bellingham and tend to make a day of it. I have my Nexus card so the border wait is almost non-existent now.. Yay! What sorts of things are available at Whole Foods? I don't think I've ever been to one. I had no idea we had them here in the Vancouver area.. haha Last edited by Jeanyyy; 02-17-2013 at 12:50 PM.. |

I went away for the weekend. So good to see all the great reports on here! I had a loss on Sat morning of 1.4 and a loss this morning of 1.2, so I am down to 187.6. Can't believe it. I thought for sure I would have slowed down to .4 or lower by now. My TOM is coming up, so I am sure I will slow down this week.

Reddy, I got a late start this morning, then my neighbor picked me up at one and we spent the afternoon looking at houses, so no time in there and honestly, I have zero appetite. If I didn't 'know' it was time to eat, I'd be perfectly happy with just my pellets
I feel very fortunate whenever i read about people being hungry. I just am not this round. In fact, I made my steak and at maybe 3/4 of it and put it in the fridge, took a few spoonfuls of veggies and tossed those and I think I'm skipping my fruit. I'm tired tonight. My fire alarm battery in my entryway started chirping at 5AM! grrrrrr..and it is a 20 foot ceiling so I sure wasn't getting up on a ladder at that early hour. My solution was putting cotton in my ears and trying to get back to sleep My neighbor came over and helped me pull it down but now it needs to go back up after I get the replacement battery. Yuck. I hate house repair/maintenance stuff. |

Good morning, ladies!
Just a quickie to do a little happy dance! I woke up to 169 this morning--I had to rub my eyes to be sure, but yep, 169! This was a sticking point for me last time, so I am hoping to BLAST right on by it today. ![]() I dropped 3 lbs. ![]() Got my whoosh....finally I guess my body just needed to know I was serious this time I have NOT veered off plan. I am just miserable right now, I cannot fit into my pants for work and they are looking ridiculous so that is motivation enough. I have also decided that giving up some things for Lent makes it easy to say no to chocolate/sugar. So that is a big push for me too. I cannot wait to see what this week has in store for me. Happy Monday!!

New to HCG forum but not HCG
Not new to HCG - lost 45 pounds in two rounds. Gained 17 pounds back in phase 4 in the last 6 months and I believe it must be allergies, as I really stick to low carb as that is my diet of choice. When I get to that point again will work at higher fat and go gluten free, but that is then. Not a fan of sugar or starch so for me that part is easy. Right now I am on the second day of loading, and with the HCG in my system it is hard to eat as nothing sounds good, and not hungry. Got to love HCG for that part! I am doing subluginal this time as I really bruised last time from the shots and was getting at the end dreading the daily dose and did a short round as I just couldn't do it anymore. I am 5'3" and 120 is a good weight for me at 60 years old with a little padding. I work full time, and also into dog training, trials, therapy work and hanging with my dog pals. Married, with kids and grandkids scattered in the mid-west and western US. We live now in north central AR on south shore of Bull Shoals Lake, and I love this area. Cj

Glad to have you here and enjoy your loading day! Scale is down .4 this morning, I'll take it! It all adds up, right? I'm tired this morning but it is bright and sunny and no way can i sleep in with all the birds chirping so I'm gonna relax for a few more minutes and get up and get at it. Not much going on today but I will hit the market and Target and get some walking in there. I plan to do 15K minimum steps, having two meals of shrimp and spinach with sliced strawberries today, 96 oz of water, vitamins and once again, attempt early sleep. Got to sleep earlier than usual last night courtesy of melatonin, I am sure. Happy losing everyone! Get outside today with your loved ones ![]() |
