Walden Farms Products
I noticed a few people using these, are these ok for phase 2? and if so, which ones are your favorites? I am not sure if I want to start using them because of the cost but I might try a couple.

They are not protocol and would be considered a cheat if you are really strictly following P&I. I use them only when I start to gag when I open up my apple cider vinegar. Some are so-so, some are nasty, and none are really good. Yep they are pretty pricy. I will use the french or russian dressings as they satisfy my need for a creamy salad dressing rather than the tart. I have tried about all of the salad stuff. Don't buy the chocolate dip(nasty) and the ketchup is really a last resort on some ground beef, but you can spice it up. Make your own is better, but like I said, it is last resort for me...

I don't use them merely because they are full of additives, chemicals and God knows what. Frankenfoods, if you will. For me, one of the great things about P2 is getting all that crap out of the body. I think we're all better off if we learn how to flavor our food without chemicals.
But, they're what gets you "through" P2, people seem to lose okay with them. |

I have used the BBQ sauce, herb & garlic sauce, alfredo sauce, French onion dip, raspberry jam, honey mustard, bacon ranch and regular ranch. All of it is grossss lol but if you use it like a base and add your own seasonings to it, its bearable. Also I did use it on p2 and it stalled me. Plus on each bottle it says it may contain traceable calories. I didnt see that until after using it a few times.
I will say the herb & garlic, Alfredo sauce and BBQ sauce is what I would recommend trying. |

TRied a lot of them and they were disgusting.. the ranch when dried up resembled liquid paper (hurl) but I must say the caramel dip is the only one I would use for apples, but I agree it is chemicals.

I've used the pancake syrup and barbeque sauce (not while doing HCG) and I like them just fine. I hadn't even touched anything like those sauces in 6 months before I tried them, I usually am not a frankenfoods or sauce person, low carb or not, so maybe I don't have a basis of comparison lol. I think they are all personal taste, lots of people like them.

Salad dressings, I like the french and the thousand island. There is also and Asian one that I've sprinkled a tiny bit on some chicken after sauteing in the frying pan and it was pretty good. Use very sparingly in P2.
