Supplements / Vitamins?

Hi everyone,

What supplements / vitamins do you take on a regular basis? Also, do you continue them through P2?

Thanks!

I'm interested in this, too. Had to give up my D3 drops and will buy the cream but eager to hear what others are taking...

I've been reading all over this site, in other boards, and am interested in pterostilbene, resveratrol, CLA, and any other supplements that might help me with cravings during rounds. Maybe L-Glutamine? Anyone???

I only take b12 now. I did try a round with raspberry ketones, a multivitamin, b12,L carnitine and dandelion root. I don't think it helped. I ended up stalling alot.

hope this helps

BRAGGS APPLE CIDER VINEGAR!!! The benefits are numerous. I think of it as a supplement, anyway.

I'm a supplement junkie...I'll type them all up later (when not on the treadclimber! ), both those I take regularly and the ones I eliminate for P2.

Thanks, Shelby! Looking forward to it! Ok, so I've shared that I'm having sleep issues but here's the thing...I am not tired!! So far, so good!

A couple of tips on supplements in general:
1. Go for capsules or gelcaps whenever possible for better absorption
2. On P2, look for capsules with no sugar or starch (rice flour, etc.) in the ingredients. Avoid gelcaps or any supplements that have an oil base.
3. Take higher dosages of magnesium, calcium and potassium in the evenings. Helps with legs cramps and sleeplessness
4. Take citrate forms of minerals for better absorption
5. Take iron at different times than calcium, magnesium, or thyroid meds
6. Take all B vitamins together (helps them work better)

Here are the supplements that I take. Bold are the ones I take on P2. If I could find them all in form WITHOUT oil or sugar, I would take them ALL in P2. (I know, I know! I have a PROBLEM! )

SAMe 400mg (AM--empty stomach with thyroid/adrenal meds) *mood stabilizer, joint health

B Complex 100 1 capsule (AM) *energy
Folacal (folinate) 1 capsule (AM) *essential nutrient, energy
B12 5000mg (AM) (sublingual methycobalamin form is more bioavailable) *energy
Acai 1000mg (AM) *energy, fat burning
Ubiquinol 200mg (AM) *heart disease, blood pressure, gum and ocular health
D3 10000iU (AM--can cause sleeplessness if taken PM) *essential nutrient
DLPA 500 500mg (AM) *energy
Potassium 1500mg (AM) *electrolyte balance, leg cramps

Biotin 5000 15,000mg (10,000 AM/5000 PM) *hair/nail health
Calcium 1200mg (600 AM/600 PM) *essential nutrient
Fish Oil 2720mg (triple strength EFA/DHA 1360 AM/1360 PM) *heart health
Lysine 1000mg (500 AM/500 PM) *viral protection, immune system
Milk Thistle 500mg (250 AM/250 PM) *liver detox, constipation
Vitamin C 1000mg (500 AM/500 PM) *anti-oxident, immune system
ALA 600 1200mg (600 AM/600 PM) *anti-oxident
Chromium 400mg (200 AM/200 PM) *blood sugar control
Glucosamine/Chondroitin 2000/1600 (AM/PM) *joint/heart health
Magnesium Citrate 510mg (170 AM/340 PM) *constipation, leg cramps

Glutamine 1000mg (PM) *blood sugar control
Iron 56mg (PM) (iron biglycinate form--less upsetting to tummy) *essential nutrient
Vitamin K 200mg (PM) *bone health, brain function

5-HTP 100mg (PM--before bed with thyroid adrenal meds) *sleep enhancer
