P3~P4 SIMEONS PROTOCOL JANUARY 2013
Happy New Year everyone! 2013 is upon us!
This is a thread for all Simeons hCG/hhCG folks who are past the very low calorie phase and in P3 or P4 or later. Losing it with hCG isn't easy but the REAL work comes in the stabilization and maintenance phases! I for one am REcommitting to keeping the pounds lost with hCG OFF and keeping myself on the straight and narrow through healthy eating, exercise, and correction days, when needed. Who's with me??? May we all have a wonderful, prosperous, and healthy year! ![]() |

@Pandora - I think you are wise to put the scale away. You've got a few things working against you here: travel, extra activity, restaurant food, and the occasional alcohol or sugary treat. Also, I don't know about you, but when I move my scale, that often causes the number to go all wacky. Enjoy your holiday, don't worry too much about it, and keep your eye on that next round! It will come off.

Thanks to folks for the well-wishes on the car. It's pretty cool to have a new one after driving the same car for 16 years. It's also kind of nerve-wreaking. When you drive a car for so long, it's like an extension of your own arm. You know EXACTLY how wide and long it is without even thinking about it. This new one, not so much. Just need to get used to it, I guess!
I had a very minimal gain from NYE, just 0.2 pounds, despite drinking wine and champagne and eating some salty food. I didn't end up eating very much yesterday, due to some social things during the day and lack of motivation to cook last night. Woke up this morning to an amazing 2+ pound whoosh to land me right above LDW and solidly in my window for the first time in forever. I keep going back to the potato hack that I did early December and wondering if this has changed something in my body. It didn't seem to be of a great benefit immediately afterwards but a couple of weeks later, I am seeing much lower numbers than I have seen in a long time. Of course this could be entirely caused by not eating much for a week or so when I was sick and not exercising during that same time. I definitely see differences in how I look and how my clothes are fitting. I have also noticed that I don't seem to be as hungry just generally, I'm not having as many cravings for sweets or starches, I don't seem to be having as many blood sugar issues after I drink, and I just seem to have more control over how I am handling my eating so... The only other thing I've done differently is that I have started eating organic/all natural chicken. Not sure if that would have this much of an impact. This week, I'll probably be eating much closer to what is normal for me and next week or possibly this weekend I'll be exercising again so I'll be curious whether this sticks. In any case, it sure is nice to start the new year off very close to LDW. I suspect this thread may be pretty quiet as a lot of people migrate back to P2 for January rounds, but hopefully some folks will stick around and keep me company!

I agree with shelby, Pandora..... just travel alone makes me UP 6 or so pounds that come off pretty quick. Add that to a possible issue with moving the scale itself or sugary stuff that you don't usually eat (your body's going- WTH! LOL) and it will pop right back off. Glad you are having a fun time!
ME- I feel VERY WEIRD about not doing hcg this January. I've done it 3 January's in a row, 2010, 2011, and 2012. I got used to just doing that for tax season, because - hey - it's easy - no thinking, eat off the list - lose weight, feel great, etc. But I didn't this time. I'm up some from my LIW from my last round, haven't weighed yet after the holidays, JUDDDing, and my last round wasn't even my real low or my goal weight. I have felt like I needed to rest somewhat from dieting (well, true dieting) and rest my adrenals so I wouldn't have anymore anxiety attacks and not be able to sleep, which makes life crazy. But I feel anxious because I'm NOT doing my usual January routine. I feel like I'm lazy or I MUST do something. It doesn't feel right. Not sure what to do. Not sure what I can do, given my physical limitations. It's not like I can start training for a marathon LOL. I finished school for now, completed my BA, and I also feel weird about that, not having homework plus diet plus tax season. I feel like I should have some big goal to be working toward. UGH. Maybe just learning how to relax a bit would be nice. I am considering (only considering) a study for my hip, an experimental surgery, but it's across the country and I would have to be there for 6 weeks and honestly, I don't have 6 weeks without an interruption until August (required surgery plus 6 weeks of PT on site). I have 5+ weeks at a couple spots prior. Also it's expensive - hello - 6 weeks in a hotel or a condo? Plus the part of the study that is experimental wouldn't be paid for by my insurance. Just thinking out loud here. My bmi would have to stay right where it is and possibly decrease a little just to be accepted. And I'm almost at the top end of the age range, plus would have to be seen by a doctor here, then have records shipped there.... it all seems too much to hope for. Well, back to counting calories! That I can do!

Pandora, enjoy your time with your family. Before you know it you will be back home and back to the grind!
Shelby, congrats on the new ride! I was 126.0 this morning but for some reason I feel blah. I am below LDW and my clothes all fit the same but I just feel fat for some reason. How long should you go between rounds? |

I'm lcing my way along. Like Marie, it feels weird not to be doing a round. Mentally I and enjoying the break, but I too feel lazy. I'm undisciplined and thats a bad place to be. Eggs were a great deal yesterday, so I made custard and HB eggs, and littler egg muffin things. I'll egg day it and stick to LC high fat for a while. Patience isn't my forte, so I may do a round once my mil leaves. We'll see.

hi. I miss this thread. I wont be posting my losses and I might not weigh until the end of the month (considering it) so I'm staying here. I just dont want to trick my brain into thinking anything other than staying on plan until then.. so if I post i think the majority will be here. I am in P2 tho. I dont mind food talk either. I just need to be motivated.
I'm in hibernation mode. My day consists of work then home eat lunch and snacks... clean up a bit and then tv in bed where I moisturize myself with vasoline, haha. I have deemed my vasoline a magical ointment that will cure all imperfections and tighten skin. Then of course, there is an occasional trip to the market where I try to be inconspicuous and get in and out as soon as possible. My last trip to Walmart was weird and the people were so odd it made me a little nauseous. So I know the hcg is working lol. I wish that I could fast forward to the end of the month so that I can feel like I accomplished something. I cant wait for February. have a good Friday all. Lara

New Year
Hello out there,
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE!! I haven't weighed in a few days, I wanted to wait till the hoildays were over and all the snacks were gone....then on Sunday the 30th I broke my wrist playing hockey. My cast feels like it weighs at least 5 lbs but when we tried to weigh it the other night it didn't even register on the scale. I'm sure it's got a bit of weight but its probably just the tenderness of the arm that makes it feel soooo heavy. I don't have it in me to get on and just see what it says...I'm already a bit depressed for obvious reasons and about having flat hair or having to wear a hat for 8 weeks. My bf tried helping me with my flat iron the other day...that ended with me in tears...it didn't work out that well lol. The only thing that gives me hope for the scale is the fact I haven't had much of an appetite from all the Tylenol (which I don't like taking.) It just sucks that my yoga and other activities I use for stress control and just feeling good are all on hold for a while. I'm so worried that without that stuff I'll not only gain but I'll start to feel sooo high strung, I won't be fit to be around lol OK that will be all for now, this took 20 min to type! lol Last edited by Bitsky; 01-04-2013 at 08:42 AM.. |

![]() that's awful!! Hope you heal quickly! I'm so sorry! Maybe you could take up walking until your wrist heals? I find that relaxing ![]() I'm still, slowly, working my way back down. 156 today. Sigh. Still 9 lbs up from my 147 goal. Maybe I should try JUDDD? It just seems so slow, kwim? LC is slow too. I am spoiled by Hcg, expecting quick weight loss! . Oh well, this is a much more enjoyable way to live though. |

Afternoon ladies ! Not going to weigh in until Sunday which will be my first vlcd. Took my first pellets today and will just eat like I've been eating this past week. What I have learned is that future vacations I can't eat this way again. I think in my head I knew I was going to do another round and I binged last Friday & when I knew I was going out of town and couldn't do a correction day it got out of hand.
But at least I'll know after this round I can take off the damage I did and I definitely learned that everything in moderation is ok when I stabilize but "not" junk. Happy Maintenance I'll be at the P2 thread when I start and I'll pop up in here to say Hi. |

C'Marie - you need to do what you think is best for YOU. If you're stressing yourself out NOT doing a round, you're stressing your adrenals too!
Good luck with the hip study thing if you decide to move forward!Kris - I think ANY woman can appreciate feeling fat for no earthly reason at all! What round are you on and are you doing homeopathic or rx? That will determine how long is required between rounds. Minimum of 6 weeks is usually recommended if you do homeopathic.Julie - hope you get your mojo back my friend! Even so, enjoy the break. I can't even imagine how tired you feel after losing 100 pounds! How'd your egg day go?Mommy - ![]() Lara - we'd miss you like crazy if you left so glad you are sticking around! Good luck on your round!!!!! Let us know what you decide about the scale. Always wanted to try it but ended up weighing as long as I was losing. If I stalled, that's when I stopped weighing.Bitsy - heal up and get better! Sorry that I ed over the bf trying to flatiron. I can just imagine! Curly it is! I would second trying to find another method not requiring arms. Most cardio things should be possible--walking, treadmill, even eliptical.Pandora - Good luck with your round! |

So I'm making myself crazy again--over a guy--again. <do not look at phone, do not look at phone!
> Had a very nice date last night and really hoping to hear from him again. I woke up this morning to a nice below LDW present, despite not having nearly enough sleep. I ate very lightly yesterday so I'm guessing that's why, but seriously BELOW LDW? Cool! I hate eating in front of dates! Why is that, I wonder? It's not like anyone doesn't eat! Unless they are on P2... Anyway, minor text message just now from the guy. <do not over-analyze, do not over-analyze... > Deep breath, put it on the backburner, keep yourself occupied, and if he's interested, HE'LL BE IN TOUCH! Jeez! You'd think I was 12... |

Well, I've decided for the time being just to JUDDD and JUDDD hard - right after I do a potato fast starting this Sunday for probably 4-5 days. I figure if I'm not going to school and having homework that just doing taxes and nothing else at the moment I should be able to handle calorie counting for awhile. I got on the scale this a.m. and it wasn't pretty, I have about 6 pounds to go before I can call maintenance again, so I am 4+ out of my window, which is about 3 pounds higher than I like to be. I'd like to see if STRICT Juddd rotations would make me lose like I did right out of hcg last time when I had to up my calories on Juddd to stop losing. I may revert to P2 eating on my DD just to make it easier, since obviously I know that, but can mix veggies and such, and throw in a shake here and there. I think that's a decent plan. I just don't want to have to "think" too much and make too many "choices" which is one of the reasons I love tax season with hcg/P2 protocol. Easy-peasy, no choices, just follow the lists. So I guess I'll make up my own "rules" and see if I can bring it on down during the early part of tax season. If not, I'll go see my doc and get back on the juice to finish up. My dd has a recital @ the end of May and I really want to be down down before then - and another occasion later in the summer, vacation and such. I'd like to be firmly back in maintenance mode by then.

Question, ladies, as I prep for P3:
Are coconut flour and/or almond flour allowed or typical in P3? Last time, I pretty much just ate P1 foods with added fat and, obviously, more protein. But having discovered mug cakes w/ those two "flours,", I'm wondering if those are okay in P3. Or should I wait? |

![]() I started using them, but the sweeteners in the mug cakes caused me to have bloating/retention issues...I was doing strict low carb, so I know it wasn't carb related. Try it and see...if you seem to be stabilizing well after a few days...then you're good to go!!! I know nuts in P3 can be iffy...I would think coconut flour may be safer...but don't know for sure. @Buttah, I did both coconut flour and almond flour after waiting about a week to make sure I stabilized. IF you have a problem with nuts, the almond flour may be less desirable in larger quantities, but the MIM portion is small enough to probably be just fine for most.

I had sugar free chocolate covered almonds in P3, so I don't think sweeteners or nuts were a problem.
But what is MIM? |

Ok Ladies ! I am so ready for R4P2D1 and to see losses !!! We're headed to my hubby's b-day dinner at an Irish pub. I have truly enjoyed myself though the guilt outweighed the pleasure but most importantly I learned a valuable lesson. It was not worth it. I could of come back to a reasonable gain and lost it in a day or 2. By the looks I'll take about 2 weeks "if I'm lucky". So prepared to do a 30 to 40 day round and get back into my size 4 pants !!!!
So please forgive my freak out tomorrow morning & here's to losses every day after that !! |

I weighed this morning lol. I think that its a good idea about weighing until a stall and then stopping. Maybe I will try that.
Having a very good first week... no hunger or icky detox feeling. Stayed home all weekend and cleaned. My mom came and picked me up on Sunday and I swear she tried to suggest we go out to eat and I was like no. Saboteur! I cant wait to go home eat dinner and go to bed. how exciting. I even got an invitation to hang out with a really cute 27 year old guy friend of mine, but I just didnt feel like entertaining. weird when theyre so cute and sweet but you just dont feel it. meh. So.... I also decided to eat one breadstick during p2 this round and I think that it may help me stabilize faster and better when going to p3.... what do you guys think? have a good day all ![]() Last edited by LaraSuzz; 01-07-2013 at 05:39 AM.. |

Heard from him (text ) but didn't get another date for the weekend. And he may be going out of town this week. Meh. No grass growing under my feet. If he wants to see me, he'll be in touch. In the meantime, there are PLENTY of fish in this sea who can entertain me... ![]() ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hi guys! Happy Monday! I had a VERY relaxing weekend. Just chilled by myself on Saturday night. Went spice shopping and to lunch with a gf yesterday and kind of hung out until evening. It was just really nice to not have much of an agenda! I ate sweet potato fries yesterday which were uber salty (not to mention the starch) as well as a yummy burger and some chicken thighs (more food than I'd had in a while) so I was up a bit this morning but really not bad considering what I ate yesterday--1.3 to 142 even (still in official window!!! ) . I will probably eat very lightly tonight as I have a meet and greet date which should take me right through the dinner hour. If I'm hungry when I get home, I'll eat. If not, I'll just call it a day with food. I think I got a little addicted to seeing 140.x so I'd like that back again please! I'm also just really curious to see if this weight will stick and how this actually relates to potatoes or no potatoes... Stay tuned, as always!Hope all is well with everyone! |

Last round I was still scared of the bread stick and the milk and the red meat. Mentally I was "there" but I realize now I went through hunger unnecessarily. I barely ever made it to 400 cal So this round I am eating all my foods on P2. That means the breadsticks, the milk, the 2 veggies, 2 fruit & 2 proteins and trying red meat as well. I really want to stabilize well and keep this weight off so next vacation I can be like buttah & actually maintain or at least not blow up like I did ![]() Last edited by pandora174; 01-07-2013 at 04:31 PM.. |

I ate the breadsticks (or Wasa or melba toast) and the 1 Tbsp of milk throughout my last P2 and stabilized beautifully in P3/P4 - never went over LDW and ended up 3 lbs less, to start my new round of P2. I saw a YouTube at one point where the HCG vlogger hypothesized that people who skip the milk have trouble later on adding dairy back in. So I figured that might apply to the starches too. I did P3 by the book, though, and eliminated the starch for that time (as well as oranges, since I was told that was a high sugar fruit).
On this P2, I am experiencing some hunger, and realized that I'm using Splenda (envelopes) which I did not do on my first P2. So I'm eliminating that as a bit of an experiment. I'll let you know how that goes..... R2P2D5, down 6.5 lbs despite a nasty cold. Yay!! |
