Thanks ! I am definitely easing into P3. Nothing too crazy or any new foods too soon. I essentially ended up where I was last round, only exactly 1 lb under ldw. I am going to start with the foods I know always work for me which are protein and fat with little carb (hwc, butter, mayo, full fat dressing (moderation), avocado, eggs, olive oil).

Sunday's lunch & dinner menu will be sirloin steak made in the slow cooker, avocado salad with mayo & coffee with hwc & an apple for dessert.

I did want to do at least 23 days but honestly I was miserable and feeling down physically & mentally. I'm not thrilled about this decision but I think it's the best one for me. I can end it now or be this down for another week. Since I have a history of depression/anxiety I am more worried about that and how I am feeling than the round and protocol to be honest. I just couldn't do 1 more day so I ended it today. Doing the vlcd for 48 hours and adding a little extra protein for dinner today & tomorrow to transition to P3.

Then going to focus on stabilizing and being healthy for a nice long time...

Hi guys and HAPPY FRIDAY!

I've been swamped at work the last few days and today finally FINALLY felt like I got a good chunk done instead of just chipping away little bits here and there. I can't remember if I mentioned this or not but I am transitioning to a new project and a new team at my company which will be a nice change. In the meantime on the old job, they have asked me to clean up another mess that someone has made of a project that I handed off a year ago or so before I leave. Actually it's less that they have made a mess of it and more that they have just neglected it so it's gotten itself all snarled up again. Anyway, been up to my eyebrows in that as well as sitting in on some stuff for my new team.

Weight is bouncy-up today (about 1.5)--I ate some salty carbs last night (Smartfood Selects Hummus Popped Chips ) and had a HUGE burger kind of late so not really surprised. Interesting to see what tomorrow brings. Saturday is usually my best weigh-in but, well, they had strawberries at the Farmer's Market today. And I ate a LOT of them! They were so tasty! It was probably way less calories than my usual honeycrisp apple but I still felt like a complete piggy! Also, I'm going out this evening with the man I had drinks with the other night and we will probably eat. I love to eat out but I HATE to eat out--because I never know what they will put in my food, kwim?

Pandora - glad you are listening to your body. Good luck!

Everyone else - have a wonderful weekend! I'm off to Mexico next week so I am going to behave as far as eating and drinking goes because I don't want to start my vacation UP! I've got a plan for the plane and the trip and ceviche is naturally low carb (as long as I pass on the chips!).

Question for those of you who have used Intermountain HCG pellets. Are you supposed to let them completely dissolve under your tongue or is it okay to crunch the last little bit of them?

Mine never dissolved completely. I would wait 5 or so minutes & then crunch till gone. I tried the first time but after 15 min & they still were undissolved

Thanks, pandora... Yeah, I waited quite a while and experienced the same thing. I decided to try these since my other drops are leaving me hungry (I think they are dead).

I swear God has a sense of humor. Woke up today to a -1.2 loss to 127 ! Still considering my ldw 128.2 but I am open to the possibilities you never know My lowest weight ever lol. For a second there I was like hmmm..but will forge on with my decision. Today at 11 am will be 24 hours without pellets.

I've been following some of the suggestions I've read & yesterday had a little extra protein. Today cutting out the grissini and adding a little more protein to lunch & dinner. Perhaps switch one of my proteins to Greek yogurt. We'll see feeling better this morning and going out soon to do some shopping (always puts me in a good mood).

Just checking in. I'm sick as a dog, but weight holding steady. A little constipated, though. I can't seem to find a dose of Natural Calm that doesn't wake me up running to the bathroom. I didn't mind that so much on P2, because I was up early anyway. But on P3 I'd like things to happen a little more "naturally." So I tried cutting down the NC to a smaller dose, but then... nothing. NC is sort of "all or nothing" with me, it seems.

Back on my SF Metamucil as of last night, but I really don't care for that stuff (and it hasn't worked as of this morning).

I never used to have a chronic problem with this, and I really want to fix it.

Do I have to take Metamucil for life? I've tried the psyllium husk capsules, and they do NOT work for me.

I fear I have to start with SM tea (or Senokot tablets) again, but I know one's system can get addicted to that stimulus, and I do not want that.

Any advice!

I had one of those "last VLCD" extra losses on my first round (after the last injection day), but I'm glad I didn't consider it my LDW. It never returned (until this round, of course). I guess it gave me "wiggle room," though.

Welcome to P3!

I have tried everything too !! The last supplement I've been taking is Cascara Sagrada & it helped for a long time. The psyllium husk worked for me 2 rounds ago & then stopped. The teas are hit or miss or me. I've also taken stool softeners occasionally & that has gotten things going. It seems like I need a combination of things just to stay regular otherwise nothing...Everyone that I know is low carb or dieting has issues with staying regular.

How about the old fashioned way with ruffage? I am sure you are already flooding your system with a ton of fluids, so you've got that covered. Probiotics? Digestive enzymes? I hope this helps.

But I eat tons of roughage in the form of veggies! And yes, lots of fluids.

I refuse to take stool softeners - knowing it's not a long term solution (and besides, Senokot works more naturally, but it's "addicting," as are stool softeners.)

Haven't heard of the Cascara supplement, but I'll look it up. Not encouraging if it didn't work long term, though.

I keep reading about probiotics, but I don't know anything about them.

I'd really like to get back to how I used to be before HCG - I didn't take anything and went every day. Simeons wrote that most people do get regular again!

What's funny? I know once I start eating my SF chocolate covered almonds again... I'll be going! (Not sure that's great for me, though.)

What have you done today? My advice when I stall out (I don't like to wait longer than 3 days either) is a mini-steak day. Just like in P3, you do nothing til dinner. Then FOR dinner, have 8 oz of steak and a tomato. Then you should have a whoosh the next day, just like a steak day in P3. But you can have water and tea and coffee all day long. Do not skimp on the fluids! Hope you have a great whoosh in the morning

Oh, and sometimes when I have enough eggs I will do an egg day. In P2 that means a total of 6 eggs all day long. Just eggs, that is all. I love that one too!

I have no advice for constipation issues since I just went a week with nada, despite taking magnesium-citrate (which I think is the main ingredient in Natural Calm). I finally did the Smooth Move tea and have been okay the last 2 days. I'll keep taking a smaller dose of the magnesium to keep going, as it were.. Once when I was *really* bad, I resorted to a glycerine suppository, but again, that is a one-time solution.

The magnesium-citrate I have is Webber Naturals brand, 150 mg capsules and you take 1-3 daily. For my "crisis", I took 3 per day for 2-3 days... then finally the SM tea. I'll be taking 2 a day now, in the hopes of preventing the same problem again. Last round, once I got to P3/P4 and more food (and fat), I was back to normal and didn't take anything at all.

Lara, I just waited my 2nd week out (a headcold and constipation compounded the stall, I think) and was rewarded today with a 1.5 lb drop. But, if you're going to do something, why not your bacon and coffee CD? At least it will be enjoyable and maybe you will drop overnight? Just a thought......

Good luck on that!! I take psyllium nightly and that combined with the amount of coconut oil I get once out of P2 I am golden in that area. No more Natural Calm is needed for me once p2 is over. I will sometimes have probiotics if I feel I need them for any issues that crop up as well. Those are great!!! I need to take them more regularly. I tend to forget though.

Dawn, which probiotic do you use and how do you use it? Is it an "as needed" type thing or a supplement you take every day (even for a short while). I'm still confused about this.

I guess I should start making something with CO. So far I've been really really careful, as is my way.

Jeanyyy, yes that is the ingredient in Natural Calm, but when I tried it in capsule form, it didn't work NEARLY as well. Same with psyillium. There's something about drinking these things that just works better. Natural Calm totally works, nearly right away if you get the dose right. But just... too well for a permanent thing.

For the record, my spelling is terrible. For years, I've been hiding behind spell check and google. I can't get it together in this forum.
I can't tell if natural calm is my friend or not either. Today, I did find this awesome non dairy chipole mayo. I made a dressing with it for my fish over greens. It was awesome.

Five, I didn't say anything about your spelling! I don't think!

Meanwhile, I just had some ketchup on a burger (and no way it was SF). Yikes. Didn't even realize it until it was down the hatch. Didn't seem like much, but I hope it doesn't hurt me in P3. And I've been so dang careful!

In my brief look around in stores in my area, I couldn't find Natural Calm, and apparently got the only container of the magnesium-citrate this one fairly large drug store had...

Does anyone know of a liquid multi-vitamin, by any chance? I am using one now from Omnetrition, but it's very pricey so I'd like to find a substitute. I can always go to Bellingham, Wa to find it, if need be. Any thoughts? Failing that, I may try to find the sugar free chewable vitamins that are apparently available at the US Costco....

Morning Ladies ! 48 hours will be up at lunch time but still being careful. Woke up to a little loss of -.06 to 126.4. So I like the wiggle room with my ldw of 128.2 but not getting too comfortable. I cut this round short so I have to be extra vigilant in stabilizing. Not even thinking about adding exercise back to too many food choices until the first week is over & the weight is steady.

Having strawberries and coffee for breakfast & easing into P3 eating. Just sirloin & eggs for lunch & dinner with mayo & hwc as my fat today. Let's see what the scale says tomorrow.

Was reading last night the juddd forum & it sounds interesting & a very doable way to lose those last few lbs and then maintain. Something to think about when I decide to lose those last 5 lbs.

Off to run errands ! Happy Sunday everyone !!
