Lara, I'm doing your bacon and coffee day LOL....
I'm still JUDDDing but since I'm trying to get back down, I'm alternating correction days, like FF or all protein days, whether on an UD or a DD depending on the calories of the possible correction days; and probably another UD I will do a full-fat GY day. This bacon is YUMMY. Just saying. Last edited by C'Marie; 01-15-2013 at 12:38 PM.. |

Hello all,
Nice to read everyone's progress, bad and good. I just love how informative everything is, it's like trial and error but I'm not the only one trying lol. Since I broke my wrist and can't do any of my normal activities I think I'm going to try another round next month. I have some drops left and I've had them in the fridge since June, my MIL is giving me the remainder of her bottle (same brand) but she's had hers in the cupboard (probably for the same amount of time.) Can anyone tell me if storing them at room temp matters? Or if the shelf life changes once the bottle is opened? Also, just for ease I was going to poor it into 1 bottle, that way I can measure out droppers first to make sure I have enough for 23 days...I'm sure there is but I thought I'd check...unless something happens to the potency the more the solution is handled?? Any advice? thanks |

Tomorrow is the beginning of R2P3 for me, and I'm finding myself more nervous than last time. I keep thinking of things like sugar free choc almonds that I didn't have until P4 last time... and mugcakes, which most of you say are technically okay (the coconut or almond flour), but I didn't have them until well into P4.
I need ideas for snacky things. Has anyone had those "just the cheese" snacks? I think that's what they're called! |

Hi guys. I'm down 1 lb today on my 15th day of vlcd. I was doing grilled chicken with lettuce and onion but i cut out the onion cause I felt guilty LOL.
The detox rash is almost gone, I think thats why I may have STS those days, I felt a little swollen... drinking coffee and tea right now ~~hydrating powers activate!!! I'm dying to hear how you did C'Marie on the bacon coffee day... its really not bad as CD's go. hope it worked for you. =) Buttah did you know you can grill and or microwave cheese and it becomes crispy like? Shelby what kind of vanilla powder do you use? Is it the whey protein powder I see sometimes at the market? Ok gonna get to work I guess... have a good day all. Lara

Down .2 today, so for week 2, a grand total of 1.4 lbs. Have I mentioned I hate week 2? 9 lbs in 14 days so far and still "stopped up". Also an early day for me again; hopefully I'll have a little whoosh soon.

I do NOT store any of my homeopathic hcg (or ANY homeopathic remedies for that matter) in the fridge. They are not supposed to be in there. I have never stored any of my homeopathic hcg in the fridge and I have been doing it for 3 years now. I would also NOT combine bottles. I think the more the hcg is handled the more risk of them not working. But that is just me, I know that the hcg itself is very fragile. My advice.....keep them where they are and trust your instincts. |

For another sweet snack, try the chocolate delight (coconut, cocoa and stevia) made into little patties. This works wonders for me when I crave sweet. I read somewhere and being an old lady, can't remember where but I think it was a fatfast thread...take crushed pork rinds, mix with peanut butter or any nut butter and SF chocolate chips to make a crunch type bar. Melt the nut butter and sf choc chips in microwave, add crushed pork rinds and mix, smoosh into a pan(depends how much ya made...) and then pop in fridge. When set, cut into bars and according to the thread, they are to die for. I know I will be making these after my first week of P3. I don't eat peanuts which are legumes, but I have almond and walnut butter in the pantry, just waiting for me, lol!

(Ok I added the "Will Robinson" part... ) They are REALLY good! Just an additional tweak that I tried last time I made them... I always make a double batch and put them in a 9x13 pan so I think that calls for 1c of nut butter (1/2c per batch). I really can't have a jar of nut butter just sitting around in my house (I WILL eat it!) so I just added the whole jar to the double batch, effectively doubling the nut butter (minus a spoonful or two...). They set up just fine and were slightly softer to eat after being in the fridge for a while than the original recipe. And more nutty...YUM! I also don't put in chocolate chips or chocolate shavings on the top. I've gotten to the point where I just coat the top with LOTS of unsweetened cocoa powder in the pan when its still hot. The cocoa powder melts and creates a nice fudgey topping. The bars are so sweet that I don't even notice that it's unsweetened powder. I cut lines in the bars (makes it easier to cut later), stick it in the freezer for a couple of hours, transfer to the fridge, then cut the bars and put them in a plastic bag.Lara - I've gone more toward using vanilla egg white powder but I've used Metrx and Designer whey in the past and that's worked fine. I also have used chocolate protein powder and unflavored as I always add a little vanilla extract anyway. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hi all! So, speaking of nuts, I think because of the whole phantom TOM thing the other day, I ended up eating some nuts, which are just darn dangerous for me to have around the house. Really no off-switch there either, just like carbs. Anyway, I ate cashews and almonds, probably about a total of maybe 5 oz but very salty. Plus I KNOW I am sensitive to the darn things! (Need to laser them again!) So I was up 2 pounds yesterday, which pushed me well over the top of my window, especially on top of the inflammation I have going on elsewhere from my fall, PTOM, etc. Yesterday, I created a new cd. I have an avocado tree in my backyard which has literally thousands of avocados on it right now. So I did an avocado cd yesterday, with a light dinner, ending at 1400 calories and about 80% fat. I wasn't hungry during the day and I whooshed off 2.2 pounds today. Keeping it clean today, including no fruit, although I may have a glass of wine on my blind date tonight. Any man that can talk to me intelligently about telemerase activation is worth meeting in person! Dawn & buttah - congrats on the successful rounds! Pandora - keep it real! You GOT this! 120 here you come!!!

I'm gonna wait on all the sweet stuff.
Today is divine so far. Woke up lower than my LIW by about a pound. Had an egg yellow scrambled with some whites and ground turkey for breakfast, plus one slice of bacon. Then some seaweed as a snack. Then sliced turkey in a salad with just a smidge of bleu cheese. Tonight I'm making grilled salmon (my favorite thing IN THE WORLD, and I missed it so much!) and and asparagus (but a drop of olive oil on the asparagus, please). Taking it really slow. Just happy to be eating some "normal" foods. For now, I'm skipping fruit. Just because of the added fat. Playing it very safe. And drinking a ton of water!

...hi guys.
I took a brief hiatus from the forum, at least in part because I felt myself getting a little too obsessive over food and diet. And talking about it all the time totally wasn't helping. BUT. I am ready to start contributing again!! So I have been catching up, which has been fun. Hopefully everyone's holiday was MARVELOUS! And it's good to see people already knocking out some rounds of hCG for 2013 As my birthday is on January 22nd and I have a couple of other things going on, I am hoping to start my next round in February. Maybe even right at the beginning of February! I've already ordered my hCG so fingers crossed. I ended my last round at 162 and am currently ~170 which is not horrible, but I did somehow put on a few pounds that I could never figure out how to get rid of. And I couldn't figure out how they got there in the first place, now that I think about it. Oh well! My end goal is about 145-150, which I could theoretically achieve in the next round, but I am totally okay with doing a vanity round down the road. In fact, it may end up being better that way with the whole "leaning out" thing. (Okay, who am I kidding..this is technically a vanity round too..haha! 5'10 and 170 lbs is not massively overweight! I just tell myself I am so maybe I'll be more motivated? )Confession: I definitely ate cereal today, y'all. I just missed cereal. First time I've had anything of the sort in quite a while. But now my tummy feels weird. Why do I eat things knowing that I'll feel kinda blah afterwards?? Lol. ANYWAY. Lovely to be chatting with you all again. I'm definitely motivated to reach my goals this summer! I'm looking at YOU, June 2013.

HI COCOA!!!!! Nice to see you. I think we all go through periods of backing off and then posting more. Life happens
Lara, that bacon CD is divine. I mean, really. Nothing hard about it at all. I had like 800 calories of bacon (almost a pound!!!) and lost weight! 1.4 down. It probably would've been more but I wasn't that far out of window and I, um, added extra salt to my bacon LOL..... shhhhh..... and I prolly didn't drink enough water. I will do it slightly different next time. Maybe space it out more like meals and be done earlier in the day and drink more watah.... It was my birthday today, and it was actually scheduled correctly as an UD LOL. I went and had the remaining 2 pieces of bacon and a protein drink for breakfast, nothing for lunch, and then had applebee's ww 550 cal garlic sirloin dinner, 2 skinny mohitos, 1/3 of the creamy spinach/artichoke appetizer with celery sticks (I did snitch 2 tortilla chips!) and then when I got home I had a little red wine (cab) and 3 teensy gluten-free cupcakes and 6 little squares of super dark chocolate for dessert. Mmmmmmm. Nice up day if I do say so myself and NO LOSING CONTROL!!!!! 1800 cals, right in line for an UD. If I had more bacon on me, I'd do it again tomorrow!
