Good morning all! VLCD9 and no loss. I refuse to get discouraged. So, I'll just keep on keeping on. New bathroom scale arrives Monday and I'm looking forward to retiring the one I'm using now.
I hope everyone has an awesome day! ____________ Carole |

Not happy.
pre-load weight - 155ish (didn't have my scale) 12/17 - VLCD1 155.9 (gained .9 from load) 12/18 - VLCD2 154 (lost 1.9 total, -1 lb from pre-load) 12/19 - VLCD3 152.5 -1.5 (down 2.5 from pre-load) 12/20 - VLCD4 151.9 -.6 (down 3.1 lb from pre-load) 12/21 - VLCD5 152.5 +.5 12/22 - VLCD6 151.1 -1.4 (better!) 12/23 - VLCD7 150.6 -.5 (down 5.3 from pre-load) 12/24 - VLCD8 150.9 +.3 12/25 - VLCD9 150.7 -.2 12/26 - VLCD10 149.9 -.8 12/27 - VLCD11 149.1 -.8 (down about 5.9 from pre-load) 12/28 - VLCD12 148.5 -.6 (-6.5 from pre-load, but I think pre-load was more like 155.5!) 12/29 - VLCD13 147.5 -1.0 (corrected from earlier weigh in) 12/30 - VLCD14 148 +.5 12/31 - VLCD15 146.6 -1.4 1/1 - VLCD16 STS 1/2 - VLCD17 STS 1/3 - VLCD18 146.1 -.4 1/4 - VLCD19 STS 1/5 - VLCD20 145.6 -.5 (and a whoopdee-BFD-doo. Not a whoosh. Not even a whoosh's second cousin.) Shaping up to be a measley 1 pound loss my third week (ends Monday). On HCG! And that's if I don't go back up again. Could be TOM, as the boobs are getting tender (TMI, but if I can deal with it, so can you), but so far, not. Sorry, but I gotta vent. Hard to justify a fourth week at this rate, but I want to at least lock in my losses and stabilize well, so we'll see. Still... I guess my round average is pretty standard, right? Just not a great week, and that doesn't bode well for another week.

Today is VLCD 4 for me on my first round of HCG. I stepped on te scale this morning and cried because it was the lowest number I've seen since I was 16! Praising God and coming here for encouragement as I struggle through. I say struggle but I haven't been truly hungry..I'm just used to eating and it's more like a "I see food why can't I eat it." kind of hunger. Glad to find a place where I'm not alone on this journey. God bless us all with fantastic numbers

Carole, how's your sodium tracking going? Have you figured out how much you're getting on a daily basis? Buttah, if my math skills are any good you're at 9.4 lbs dropped in 20 days, which is just under .5 lb per day, spot on where Dr S says women should expect to be. I think that's AWESOME! If you can wait a few days for TOM to come, then you should start whooshing. How's your potassium level? Since you're so close to goal and have a small/normal frame now, you may just be one of those people whose TOM water retention just affects them more than others. I know you're super frustrated right now, but you really ARE doing well. Less-than-expected results THIS week, especially due to TOM coming, doesn't necessarily predict less-than-expected results to also happen NEXT week. It's all good, stay strong through the stall. ![]()

I'm down another 1.6 this morning, despite having a horrible, stressful, drove-me-up-the-wall, got-on-my-LAST-dang-nerve day yesterday, not getting all my food in, and not getting all my water in (but I did get at least 2 liters in, thank goodness.) So I'm happy that all the holiday weight I gained from when I stopped is gone, and, in fact, I'm even lower.
But I also am prepared to have a bump back up again in the morning, since I WILL be getting all my food and water in today. If it happens, it happens. It will be alright. Today....I celebrate my 1.6!!! Everybody DANCE! ![]() |

Hello everyone, my first post in a long time...
buttah...can I use this quote.I luv it...."And it sucks sucky suckerson" !!!! I too am a turtle when it comes to pounds lost. Round 2 was a real bummer, losing only 10 lbs the entire 40 days. What a disaster, and I was soooo good, no real cheating but I did use walden farms salad dressing. I had used them in round 1 and then in R3 and had no issues. I am pondering whether to use them again(still have some in the pantry.). pandora...do NOT feel alone...I started P4 on Thanksgiving, then went on a cruise to the Carribbean, then the holidays...refusing to weigh until this morning which is load day 1. I am up 17 lbs. No sh*t, I couldn't make that up. I had to wait to start today as I was waiting for my mixing supplies, poor planning on my part ordering during the heavy holiday season. I am also stop weighing daily. My attitude gets really bad when I don't see a loss and then I get all pity party and hubby wants to slap me. I'd like to slap me. Looking forward to sharing this round with you all.

Cloth, thanks. I know it's average. And like I said before, I take prescription potassium from my clinic. It's all good. If I do a week 4, it will undoubtedly take me through TOM. May be a good thing, right? Plus since I stabilize a couple pounds above LDW, I'd like to get a teency bit lower. Looks like one more 21 day round in my future, though.

Just a thought. Instead of having to slog through another round in the future, might you consider just adding an extra week to THIS round to make it 5 weeks to see if that will get rid of any extra left over from the TOM stall and closer to goal? In my way of looking at things, an extra week on an already-established round is MUCH better than an extra entire round. Like I said though, just a thought..... |

Cloth, I'm doing week 4 (just went to the clinic) but beyond week 4 last time, my very first round, was nearly a total waste. In weeks 5 and 6 that time, not EVEN four lbs gone, and I was heavier then! And then that meant I had to wait that number of weeks LONGER to do another round. Not making that mistake again. I'd rather lose another 10 in a 21 day R3 than 4 more pounds (if I'm LUCKY) in 2 weeks tacked on to this round. See?
My experience is clearly different than yours, I guess. But I've written about my TURTLE final weeks of round 1 far too much. Don't want to bore you guys! Last edited by buttah; 01-05-2013 at 10:33 AM.. |

Hi all
![]() This is VLCD2 and I am doing great! I had 2 days of loading...which was fun! Started at 175.4. I gained 2.4 or 2.6 lbs...couldn't remember & didn't write down weight that morning. I am 175.0 today...lost a few lbs. after Day 1 So 7-8 lbs. more to go. Feeling good...no hunger yet!Have a great Saturday ![]() |

I'm making a pot of white chili tonight. Does anybody know if there's anything on protocol that I can use to thicken it a bit? It looks depressingly thin compared to the other pot for everybody else.

I'm down .5. Not a whoosh but I'm still down.
7.5lbs in 10 days is pretty good after maintaining at below LDW from round 1, right? |

My check in for the day---down 0.8 lbs !!! Yay!!! This is fantastic. Back down in the 120s. I am back on track and it feels so good. I had my second day back at Starbucks today--didn't feel like I needed to drink all those drinks I made for my customers LOL. Good thing since I go back for a 6 hour shift tomorrow!

I was at Starbucks before CFA. I went back to SB because they are desperate for help. They have to hire 3 new people AND have another employee out with a back surgery. So I am sort of temporarily filling in I dreaded going in today as the alarm went off at 7AM. Sure wish I could have slept in. But I am helping out in a tight spot. As soon as they hire/train more people, I am out! I am already trained, so I am already doing everything!! I will stay a bit while the newbies get trained, then I will go. Oh, and I can only give them 2 days a week. So nothing that will put a kink in my schedule too much But if a few weeks from now I love it, I might just stay. So glad to see you are on P2 once again. I know you are going to see your goal quickly ![]()
