Thanks for the responses!
If I showed you the pics that I have taken of the dishes that I am making your mouth might drool. My does! And as soon as I sit down to eat it, my hunger is gone, no taste buds salivating and it is misery to eat it!!! I would have NEVER DREAMED that it would be like this for me and I am SOOO glad! I am a glutton at best and have NEVER learned how to eat right. It was always diet or "I'll start tomorrow!" SO I tried to get down as much as I can and am THRILLED when I feel its enough and put the rest away for the next day. My husband got me steamed shrimp and that kinda helped. Chicken breast and fish fillets are not going well and especially if they are recooked. Lettuce is not happening well either. I might as well be outside eating grass, literally! The chewing and all! I cut me up a handful of strawberries and was able to get most of them in. I can't get over it! And the reason I am telling you all this is first to find out what the hazards are of this. Since my original post I have been looking for anything that will tell me about sabotaging the weightloss. Thus far I havent seen anything. However, I found a site called The HCG Edge, very good reading, and they proclaimed that if you couldnt eat your whole 500 calories then don't worry bc your bloodstream is full of fat cells from your stored areas. And believe me girls, looking in the mirror for day 9, its going somewhere!!!! I also hope that by telling you all this experience, that maybe you'll be encouraged if it is a good thing. toomuchbooty - Good luck on the shots! I could NEVER do that! ![]() C'Marie - Yes, as I wrote it is an issue to literally eat. I feel the hunger pangs and the burning in my stomach. But I am not weak, shakey, or any other symptoms of starving. As soon as I sit down to eat, my brain says, "you're eating again????" LOL! I only pray it stays like this! Buttah - I am taking HCG Power 3000 hormone-free, non-homeopathic drops. About 15 3x's a day sets between my eating times. I'll be ordering a few more bottles today. Everyone that is seeing me wants it now. My totals thus far is: VLCD2- (-3.4) VLCD3- (-1.2) VLCD4- (-3.6) VLCD5- (-2.6) VLCD6- (-3.6) VLCD7- (-1.6) VLCD8- (- .4) VLCD9- (- .0) This morning I believe my sodium was way up due to yesterdays seasoning on the shrimp. So I have seen a slow down since total loss of appetite Not sure if that is what it is due to or simply Week 2's typical results. |

I am! I have tons of chicken in the freezer all cooked and ready to go. I have beef already bought. I have veggies I am going to prepare today to have for the week. I am going to do what I want this week---if I want a veggie I will eat it, but if I don't want it I won't eat it. Simple as that. Won't bang my head if I fall, slip or whatnot. I am going to give it my best shot!!!

back Dawn!!I must have had a stall from TOM last week because in a week I lost .9. I really want to get into 170's before I end this round. Only 3 more days before I start P3. I'll do my best! I keep trying to think of a way to continue. I'm finding once I'm in P2 I don't want to stop. I leave the country in 27 days where I will be only somewhat able to control what I eat. It really depends on availability of foods. I'm thinking I should really be done P3 at the very least heading there. Any thoughts? |

shrinking---you definitely don't want to finish P2 too late. You want to be a bit into P3 at least before your trip. Get some kinks worked out before you leave. I think you are right!!!

I'm heading to Nicaragua. From what I've heard rice and beans is the menu. Fish and chicken too. I can easily skip the rice but not sure of vegetable options. I suppose I can always find some chicken but not sure how they cook it, what spices will be used etc. I will have access to a kitchen but also will be out a lot during the day. I really don't want to destroy my hard work!

I'm just concerned because what you may be losing may be lean muscle mass. Without HCG there is nothing causing your body to utilize its fat stores, and when you're done, there will be no "resetting" of the hypothalamus, etc. Again, if I understand you correctly, you are basically on a starvation diet, even though you don't feel starving at all. I'm sure others will jump in with a better explanation, but I'm just worried for you. Please do some reading on this?

From what I've read its a synthetic HCG hormone they put in the hormone free. I do know a friend of a friend who has used the hormone free and lost 70 pounds and looks great, her skin looks toned and has good muscle tone. I don't know i'm very confused about it all. I'm not quite sure my has real HCG in it either (although i did call the company and they said it does) so I've ordered from Intermountain now but I'm going to keep using what i have until it comes in and then switch

As for the inevitable success stories of people who've lost weight with the HCG-free HCG (because that's what it is), studies have of course shown that EVERYONE loses weight on a VLCD! The issue is what kind of weight is lost, how the body has lost it, and most important, will the body keep it off! From what I have read there is no such thing as a "synthetic HCG." A little googling and you will find much controversy on this "HCG free" HCG. |

Sorry for my absence - we had family visiting, I've been ferociusly sick, then I was out of town on a work trip, and then concerts. Since I haven't had very much control of my food for the past week, I'm up about 4 lbs., but I think some of that will go away as I up my water intake again (not been doing well on that either!). But I'm still under 200, so I'm happy! I end this round on Wednesday, since we're leaving for a cruise (woo hoo!!!) on Friday!

SO mad at myself. I keep forgetting to take my lunch drops. Took them at 4:30. What time should I take last dose? 6pm or wait until later? Do they interfere with sleep? |

If I do an interruption of 13 days ( while on vacation) , can I do P2 VLCD until I lose what I want or do I have to do another 21 day run? I only want to do another 10 days or so.
I went out for dinner last night and three was hardly anything on the menu, I'm on PH3 now so i had mostly protein yesterday and not any vegetables at all. I'm up 1.6 lbs today, but still within my LWD so that 's good. Eating lots of veggies today! Dooy- I think it does interfere with sleep if taken after 7ish or so. But I did get Natural Calm to take before bedtime and it really worked, letting me sleep through the night! Last edited by travelintobin; 01-28-2013 at 03:40 PM.. |

That is interesting. I take my hcg sometimes at 9:30 PM and always drift off to sleep with no issues whatsoever. It never interfered with my sleep!!!
travelin---you don't have to do a 21 day P2 if you want to pick up when you get back from vacation. Since you have already done the 21 day minimum, you can go less. |

Thanks Buttah for the information. I called the company and cancelled that order. I have ordered the right stuff now. I am in this for the long haul and want to do it right by taking care of my body. I am really thankful you spoke up!

If we were in the P3 or All Phases thread, I'm sure Shelby or some others would have weighed in with concerns. But I'm glad you're going to give actual homeopathic a try (mind you, I've only done RX and with a doctor - that's how "by the book" I am! ) |

That is too funny ![]() I took my last dose at 10PM last night and went right to bed. Didn't want to wake up this morning either. The hcg isn't disrupting my sleep like it had in the past. I remember having sleep issues when I did my first few rounds, but not any more. |
