I'm finding the same is true for me. I did a thorough cleaning of the fridge before starting the VLCD and on Day 26, it's still incredibly clean I'm actually enjoying the meal planning while on this diet and the kitchen clean-up is a cinch

Here's a couple of questions for those who have already completed a full round...Do you or do you not continue to eat Melba toast or grissini once you start P3? I keep reading conflicting articles.

Also, just to clarify, suppose I took the last of my hcg on A Wednesday morning. Would the first day of increasing calories be Saturday morning? I'm a bit confused because some articles say 2 days and others say 3 days before increasing the calories.

No melba or grissini on P3 since no starch rule. Are you on rx hcg or homeopathic ? It's 48 hours for homeopathic & 72 hours for rx.

For ex. I take pellets homeopathic. My last dose was lunch on Fri 11 am. I was on P3 Sunday at 11 am. If I had done the Rx hcg my P3 would of started Mon at 11 am.

Thanks, Pandora!

I'm on rx, so looks like I'll be doing 72 hours.

It's mid-day on my first VLCD (for this round). I've had 48 oz of tea and an apple. I have to eat lunch in about 30 minutes or I'll be stuck in meetings all afternoon.

So far hunger is minimal. Doing Rx this time, hoping for less hunger than previous rounds.

Down is still down!

Down .6 to 161.2. My latest, lowest weight was June 2012 at 158. I will be sooo happy when I see that number again! It's like a mini goal but better than that, I will have a bunch of clothes that will once again fit!!

So today is supposed to be my first VLC day without HCG. And of course when I weigh in I've dropped 1.2 lbs! AAAAGGHHHH! Which is tempting me to continue a few more days on the HCG...

Stayed the same today, -11.1 lbs on Day 20 of Round 2. Mulling over the possibility of calling this round over after tomorrow. For those of you who have done multiple rounds, was your Round 3 any better after a slow Round 2?

Yes, I didn't go down too much in my round 3 or 4, possibly only 10-12 lbs. That was last year and now I am on another round...round 5. Yesterday was my 2nd VLCD and I am down 6.4 lbs from my loading. This is the best for me so far. I hope this momentum keeps going for me as it did in round 1. I was down 22 lbs in round 1, 20 lbs in round 2. I took a year off before I went for another round and my body seems to like it this time around. Keeping my fingers crossed. Hang in there as it takes time for your body to adjust. At least mine did. Just my thoughts.

Man, I'm up 1lb today! I've been so good. Hmmm.

I want to do the minimum 21 days because I'm going on vacation soon. Do you count the 21 days starting with loading days or VLCD?

I took my measurements and discovered that I have lost another 4" since the last time on January 12th... so feeling encouraged and will stick with P2 for a while longer. I would love to reach 20ish lbs lost this round also, if I can.

Congrats! That's great news! It reminds me that I need to measure, too! Tomorrow is my half way point of 20 days!

down 0.8 this morning, not as good as the other days but i did have some salty broth last night that could be contributing to that, but hey i'll take it, still better than losing nothing at all or gaining!

Down 4.8 pre-loading weight...onto VLCD 5

It all adds up!

Down .6 for a midpoint (20 days) loss of 12.4lbs! I'm thrilled! This has really been encouraging! I'm two pounds away from my most recent low back in July. I think I had a loss, albiet small, every day except one.

Question for you: Is it typical for weight loss to be steady throughout a 40 day protocol, or should I expect this to slow down?

VLCD 28 and no loss today. Total loss is 18.3 so far, and I'm still hoping for 25 in the end.

wtg on the loss.

The losses will usually slow down but then again everyone is different and losing everyday except 1 day is good. I would just keep doing what you are doing because it is working for you.

Thanks Jabbok, today then is my last day of drops. BUT I'm up 1 lb yesterday and another .2 today! Why am I going up at the end? I posted that I did a steak day 3 days ago because my friend suggested it. I had dropped the next day to just under 140 to 139.6, which I have not been that weight in over 20 years. I think my body just does not like being under 140lbs. I'm 140.8 now and it's supposed to be my last day. I've only lost 10lbs in 21 days on this diet. Wondering why. I felt like a followed the plan to a T. The only thing I stopped doing was the grissini, maybe that could be why? Grrrrr.

To lose 10 lbs in 21 days is fantastic You may not think so, but the average a woman will lose in a 21 day round is half a pound a day. You hit that on the head Good job And yes, your body will fight you and try its hardest to get back to your old set point of 140. Settle on that as your LDW and you will be golden these next 3 weeks stable as a rock.

Thanks Dawn I wanted to see if I could stabilize in P3 this time so I wanted to try this round without the coffee and cream.

I still have about 10 pounds to lose to get to ldw from the last last time

Thanks Dawn, you've made me feel better already. I am worried about PH3 but probably only because this is all new to me. I am going to New York next week on a "foodie" trip as I am a chef. I'm going to pack my scale and try my best not to eat any hidden sugar..no starch shouldn't be a problem. I am planning on drinking Vodka/soda when I want to drink. I hope I'm stable as rock! If I make it thru NYC, then I will totally be golden when I return back home! Woohoo! Thanks again Dawn for the encouraging words.
