Hi All! Been a lurker for a few weeks before deciding to jump on the HCG plan. Going a bit "rogue" for now since my living arrangements are in transition for another week or so, but I've been sticking to a VLCD. Experiencing little hunger and happy that my clothes are feeling a bit looser. Worried about being out at a social gathering Saturday night and wanting to have a drink.

Also reading WLA, Chapter 2.

Round Date Weight Day Cummulative
P2D1 1/12/2013 202.5 0.0 0.0
P2D2 1/13/2013 201.5 -1.0 -1.0
P2D3 1/14/2013 200.0 -1.5 -2.5
P2D4 1/15/2013 199.5 -0.5 -3.0
P2D5 1/16/2013 198.0 -1.5 -4.5
P2D6 1/17/2013 198.5 0.5 -4.0
P2D7 1/18/2013 197.5 -1.0 -5.0

TGIF!

Not giving up and I realize that my body fat is shifting around and needs some time to catch up, etc. etc. Just hard going into the weekend and feeling so dang bored with the same old food. We are going out Sat. night to a steak house with friends (can't get out of it) and I had planned to only eat veggies for lunch so I could actually have a petite filet (8oz although I probably wouldn't finish it at this rate) for dinner. I was not going to weigh the next day knowing I'd probably have a pop up in the scale. Now I'm really scared to do that.

Gonna just keep on track today and not sabotage myself with stupid thoughts. This is working. This will continue to work. Right?
Drink lots of water and tea! Your plan sounds great. Believe it or not, you may look back on this time fondly. Hang in there!

Yeah! TGIF! Congrats to all our losers! everyone is doing great. This is day 12 vlcd for me and I am planning a 40 day round so I have a target of 2/16 as my P3 start. I don't know if I will have enough hcg to last the entire round...I was transferring the hcg to the vial for injections and my shaky hands spilled some...don't know how much, only time will tell. The first vial mixed should be 20 doses and I have another to be mixed later.

I am glad that it is Friday, but, dh bought tickets to the chili cook off here at our winter Texan village where we winter to escape every year. It's not that warm either....43 degrees the am when I walked the puppies. This old gal's bones sure feel that cold! I am debating what to do...I think I will eat prior to going and just sip water or coffee while at the party. I won't feel guilty either! He didn't ask when he bought the tickets, but the $ goes to local charity so that's cool!

I am down .2 this am after a sts weight yesterday. I did deviate from protocol however, so it may be that...I tasted some roasted green beans and roasted beets that I bought tiny amounts of from my local Sprouts. OMG. Those could be dangerous. I also ate beef twice in the same day, so that might have factored also. I am one who can not stick totally to protocol to the letter...I would never admit that on another list I am on, but I don't post there too often for that reason. I have used Walden Farms stuff on my lettuce cause I just can't do ACV or lemon on salad at times. Nope. Ick. I know that Walden's stuff is just chemicals or as some say "franken foods" and I agree, but sometimes ya gotta do what ya gotta do to make it!

Hang in there everyone...

Thanks fivenine! I am pounding the hot tea and water as I type! I am not going to let the scale dictate my mood.

TGIF all! Congrats to the losers (me included - down 0.2 today!) and encouragement to the those who are stalled!

I've slowed down with this cold - not being able to taste anything has given me sugar cravings so I've been eating hard candies for my throat and to taste things (I can't do sugar-free as the fake stuff gives me hives). Slows down the loss for sure. Might also be that I ran out of shrimp and had canned tuna for lunch. Shopping tonight!

So I guess I am one of those strange people who can eat stuff not on the list and still lose? I am ok with that, but kinda wonder if I stuck to the list strictly would I lose more? Lol.

Oh well I am not going to worry myself with all that, I figure I am more succesful not getting bored with the food or I may not be able to stick to this at all! I am still eating healthy stuff like tuna and green beans despite them not being the approved list. Lately I have been losing about 1 pound per day, someday its only half a pound, but I am ok with that. Im going grocery shopping tonight and gonna get the stuff to make phase 2 chili, I really like that stuff and havent had it this round!

Wow, that's a great rate of loss at your weight, Kelly.. I'm barely making 1/2 lb a day (of course, I have had a nasty cold for some time now, so that may be part of it).

Loading today

Nice to see all the great stories here. Hopefully I will be one soon. I finally am loading on day 2 today. I went up 2.8 lbs on day 1. I am looking forward to my first VLCD tomorrow. I am feeling so full right now and I know I have to get in those good fats today. I'll be glad this day is over. Funny how I look forward to loading days, then after the first one I'm ready to be done with all the eating!

Afternoon Ladies ! I'll be transitioning to P3. I should be in P3 tomorrow for lunch. Today woke up to a nice loss of -1.2 to 127. My LDW will be 128.2...So a nice little wiggle room for P3. Today sticking to vlcd but cutting out the grissini and adding a little extra protein to help with hunger which hasn't really been bad at all.

Happy Releases & keep up the good work !! See everyone in P3 !!

VLCD 20. Down a total of 13.2 lbs. Which for me is a lot! Being human, I wish it was magically more.

At any rate, looking forward to P3. Just don't have it in me to extend this round. Will be working on maintaining until late March and then go for another 13 or so pounds in a 21 day round.

Happy losing all!

Well, down again in weight. Between TOM and going to a friends for supper last night, i was not sure how Id do, but think I did pretty good. Had salad and chicken for supper. It was not till after I discovered honey was in the dressing. 5.4lbs gone in 7 days. For me thats a lot. I used to be ecstatic over a 1 lb or 2 lb loss in a week

Down another .6. Losses have been small and steady. No big whoooshes but I'll take this! So far, only one day out of 18 without a loss.

I've changed up the food a bit by cooking the veggies with more spices and broths, LOVE the Forman Grill! Where has this baby been all my life!!!

Using different rubs on the chicken, shrimp and fish has made a big difference. We also expanded into lean ground beef and have been making a chili powder that has really helped! Bought fresh crab, too. LOVE that but it could be a little steep on the budget as a regular item.

And may I just say that the baked apple recipe has saved me from foraging like a mad woman for something sweet! Amazing what a few spices can do to perk up an apple! We have one of these every other night and it is really satisfying!

Haven't deviated (at least knowingly and I read that protocol every other day!) and so far, so good. We're doing a 40 day plan so midway is Wed.!

DH has lost 16lbs in the same period. and I'm down 11.2 lbs.

Just wanted to report in and share a little about what's happening! Wishing everyone well!

Thanks, Fivenine and Mommy! I am having a good time with this!

I feel like I am settling into this reality that this is it. I need to get this right this time. My problem has not been losing the weight, but keeping it off. This plan is a lifesaver b/c of how quickly we see progress and that gives me hope, but the real work may still be ahead as I try to stabilize and then maintain.

Just trying to get into right relationship with food, my body and my head!

So glad we don't have to do this alone!

Thanks, Cindy! One challenge I had initially was not comparing my losses to others who seemed to be losing more. I reread the TIPS sticky here and committed to just keep my eyes on my own scale!

I have a habit of comparing my losses to others as well so I knew I needed to stop because it wasn't helping me. You are doing a great job on P2, how is you sleeping and weird dreams? The weird dreams seem to be gone and I am sleeping somewhat better.

I started vlcd 1 on Jan 4th I am now debating on going longer then 21 days because I am not back to my ldw from my last round, I see you are doing 40 days with your dh it's good you have him doing the same eating plan you are it makes it easier not to go off plan.

Thank you all for posting on this site. I've been reading a lot & only posting a little. I would like to share some recipes that I've been enjoying.

R1PH2D18 -12.4lbs I have not been under 140lbs in 20 years, I thought I would never get here..now 139.6! I have been losing .2, .4, .8 each day though I stalled 3 days right before TOM. My friend told me to do a steak day, yes on PH2, and I did it yesterday and lost 1.2lbs! An apple day just sounded too hard and that steak tasted sooooooo good. She is starting her 3rd round now and doing a steak day in PH2 and PH3 has worked for her too, to get the lbs coming off faster.

New recipes if you'd like to try something different.

Arugula Salad with Chicken, Basil and Grapefruit
100 grams of arugula, handful of torn fresh basil leaves and 1/2 grapefruit (or 1 whole orange) segmented. Squeeze some juice over the salad before segmenting. Add juice of 1/2 a lemon. Add some Braggs Liquid Aminos to the chicken or just over the salad. Chicken can be poached, or sauteed in a little braggs.

Fennel, Apple and Chicken/Shrimp Salad

Cut fennel and apple in to equal matchstick sized pieces. Add cooked chicken or shrimp and toss with lemon juice and a little Braggs.

Costco has Frozen Langastinos now. You can eat about 45 of them. All you need to do is thaw them in a little cold water, takes 10 mintues. I dip them in a little homemade cocktail sauce.

Cocktail Sauce: Juice of 1 lemon, 1 small can of Tomato Sauce-make sure it doesn't contain sugar, fresh horseradish root, the more you add the hotter it becomes. I like it hot so I put in about 4-5 Tablespoons. Blend this together in a blender- I have a Vitamix which works very well. If you don't have a great blender then just grate the horseradish with a cheese grater or cut it up very finely. That's it!

Keep up the good work everyone!

I started vlcd 1 on Jan 4th I am now debating on going longer then 21 days because I am not back to my ldw from my last round, I see you are doing 40 days with your dh it's good you have him doing the same eating plan you are it makes it easier not to go off plan.
Sleep is much better! Thanks for asking! I take my last dose of drops before 6:30 and stop drinking liquids by 7: 30 to 8ish. In bed before 11pm.

Occasionally, I am taking 5mg of sublingual melatonin and the creepy dreams have stopped. I do feel a little less lively when I wake up but a cup of coffee clears that up quickly!

I'm finding that instead of feeling hemmed in by needing to plan and prepare our meals in advance, it has actually freed me up to not be so obsessed with food! I also have NO waste in our home. I used to buy so many fresh veggies and fruit and then not eat them and they would rot. Now, we go to the store every 3 or 4 days and buy what we need and actually EAT IT!

My 19 y/o is even eating better b/c I refuse to bring the crap into the house. If he wants it, he goes out!

I am trying to take this in 3 to 4 day increments. I feel good, have enough energy to get through the work day, and no hunger except before meals (THAT is miraculous b/c I don't think I can ever remember a real hunger pang!). We are in this for 40 days!

Wishing you well, Cindy!

Thanks for the recipes! I love the sound of that fennel, chicken, apple salad! YUM!!!
