Thanks for the warm welcome! This seems like a fun group!

9 pounds.... 12 POUNDS?!?! I am just gonna have to trust that it will all come off!

So far, big, fatty eggs benedict with extra bacon, tons of almonds, 1/4 c of peanut butter (with melted chocolate ) and one cookie. I'm stuffed already! Advocados for dinner, more nuts, maybe a tbs of coconut oil (belch!) after dinner...any other fatty suggestions??

I think I may be addicted to these emoticons!

Cheesecake and cheese in general. Fried foods. Fatty steak. Chicken with skin. Sausage. Whipped cream. With everything! Marscapone cheese (almost 100% fat) in a cream sauce over veggies. Chocolate. Non-protocol veggies with BUTTER and olive oil. Fruit. Sushi or Chinese food? Not necessarily high fat but something I always miss!

Sounds YUMMY!

Wine with loading--YES. I always enjoy my wine when I load and even sometimes <gasp!> beer or margaritas which I don't indulge in very often...

Evenin ladies! I'm on VLCD3 and up 1.9 from my starting/pre-load weight so whatever I gained during load I'm working on losing it. Didn't have a chance to weigh in after/during load days because I was at the mountain condo. I'll see how tomorrow's weigh in goes.

woooooshie fairy I'm right heeeeere!!! :P

Good morning everyone! Hoping for a better week! Up 2.0 so a total of 5.0 over. I did a very low carb day yesterday (15 net) and still weighed the same. I'm going to keep trying this Atkins Induction and give it a fair shot. I think my fat is stubborn!

Hope you all are having a great day and the whoosh fairy comes. I've decided to put off hcg for now. Not ready.

Jeanette---even with the hcg you are not guaranteed a loss every day. So hang tight. I am down and down and then up!! So my weight loss is not a straight line....horribly frustrating since I am eating so little and feeling so terribly deprived. But I will get this round a fair shot!!! Only day #5, since I have had to re-start a few times LOL. I may make it to day #21, may not!! We'll see. I am under 130 and in the 120s so all is good today!!!

Happy Monday!! Have a great week everyone!

Morning everyone.
Weeeelllll I have sme ujpsetting news.I looked at my logs of my rounds and my LDW was 236 NOT 246

So here I am waaaaaay over and not happy. Only myself to blame. I realize that. SOOOO....
Here is my question.Since I am up so much over my LDW, when I begin
another round, which will be next Monday, do I need to load again? I usually only gain a couple lbs loading but I hate thinking about gaining another few more lbs.

Hi Berta

YES!!! Re-load, been way too long...you will be starving if you do not. Try to load high fat, then you'll have less weight gain...is there anything high fat that you LOVE...and able to handle? I know you have a hard time loading...I hear ya

Remember...you will lose that weight gain really quick

You can do it!!!!

Miss ya, friend

Hi Jeannette

I think you are doing awesome with only 5 lbs. over...I'm pretty sure that I would be a LOT more over that if I didn't have JUDDD to back me up.

I think you are a WISE lady! It takes a LOT of "gumph" to admit to yourself that you're NOT ready...which can lead to failure if not ready, kwim?

LCing is a great WOE...you can do it!!!!!!!

I would like to have this problem ! LOL

Well, I weighed today. Not a pretty sight. After 3 days of pretty lowcarb and also very low calorie, 1100/560/1100 I am at my high prior to the potato hack days. So I am doing the potato hack starting Sunday again to get back down to my low. I will go 5 days and see where I am at. I may or may not add protein 4 hours earlier to any potatoes on what would be my JUDDD up days. Once I get back down into my window I will JUDDD strictly with medium carbs. At least that is the plan for now. We'll see what happens.
Hi C'marie

TY for responding...I think I am going to need to adjust...I would LOVE to keep going to see where my weight WOULD bottom-out, but I can't do that until April b'cuz of TOPS I have about 3-4 lbs. left, then I have to maintain there. Of course, my weight recorder says I can always weigh-in with cans of veggies & rolls of coins in my pockets...as long as I don't say anything to anyone...including her

As for the Potato hack...do you think it has cured some of your carb sensitivities? Or not? I'm not a potato fan...but would be willing to try it, maybe. I would love to re-set my carb sensitivity somehow...nothing seems to be working. As long as I stay mainly LC JUDDD...I maintain well...lose a little...but I would like to be able to have a carby meal 1-2X a week w/o a jump-up of temporary weight gain (even if it comes back off in 2-3 days). I really think I have wheat issues...as I can indulge in some sugar w/o grain, i.e. PB fudge, ice cream, etc. & even starchy veggies (peas, sw. potatoes, corn, etc.), and not be too affected...but add in the breads, processed grains...it gets me.

Rooting for you to have an awesome Potato hack!!!!!

Have you read Shelby's journey with the potato hack??? I am excited to try it. She said that her cravings *down the road* ( I am talking weeks after) are so much more on control. She still craves, but not as strongly as before doing the potato hack. That is definitely worth trying if it does that for me I cannot wait til I can try it

I'll go look it up...

I don't usually have the bad cravings...thanks to JUDDD...you can have it on the UD's at times...because I CAN have it...I usually don't end up eating it...lol. BUT...there are times!!! GRRR...let me tell you about my Golden doggie...Cooper!! I received a box of See's candy from a friend in Cali...we've just now recently got a See's candy store here in TX...so it's been 6-7 years since eating it. I love the caramel patties, but I just didn't want it Christmas evening/too full...an UD for me...the next day was DD...so I was saving it for the next UD (2 days later). Well, I set my caramel pattie that UD on the arm of our 3-seat (I always sit in middle seat...hubby on left & Cooper on right) theatre chairs while watching a movie w/ hubby...was going to nibble on it through the movie. Cooper starts smacking his lips and I discovered that he had helped himself to my pattie. I was sooooo mad at him...1) I worried all night that the chocolate might hurt him, and 2) that was my only one, and I had WAITED so long to have it!!!! GONE!!!!!! He looked at me and laid his chin on my arm...who can resist that...of course hubby thought it was so funny...only b'cuz it wasn't his!!!!

I'm curious as to if it cures the carb sensitvity w/ weight retention, such as starches, breads, etc. Even just a little bit...would help me!!!!

Angela - First of all, HUGE CONGRATS on the 120 pound club!!! I haven't been on in a few days and BAM! There you are with your fancy new avi! That's terrific! I bet you feel awesome!

On the TOPS thing, what happens if you go lower than where you are supposed to? What's the consequence? Just curious...

On the dog thing, oh HEAVENS, I would be mad! Sad puppy eyes or no sad puppy eyes! I know, and YOU know that they are being animals but still...

On the potato hack thing, I really really do think it has decreased my carb sensitivity. Like Dawn said, the carb/sugar craving reduction was the biggest thing for me. And the general...IDK...FOOD craving reduction. I'm just not eating like I used to. Some sort of switch has turned off or on and I'm not just nibbling for the heck of it or because it's time to eat or because I'm in the mood or whatever. I am really thinking about if I'm hungry when it's time to eat and if not, I generally...just don't. BIG change for me. When I DO eat carbs, I still bounce up a bit but usually I am right back down the next day as long as it isn't a huge overindulgence. The bounces also seem to be smaller if I do bounce up. Yesterday I had some sweet potato fries which were yummy but VERY salty. Today I was up 1.3 which is relatively minor for me. I can't really speak to the wheat thing other than I try to stay away from it just generally because I KNOW it causes me problems. That said, I had some minor indulgences over the holiday (a bagel one day, a piece of bread, a small amount of SF baked goods) and didn't really suffer much from them. It's really a very interesting experiment and I may incorporate it in other ways as I go along. I really thought I would get bored or be hungry or whatever but nope.

ETA: Everyone else! Jeanette, Dawn, C'Marie, Berta, dooy, misslatte, Shrinking!!!!!

120lbs WOW!!!!!!!!

I have been getting a bit down by my stinkin thinkin today. It will be a year in April since I started HCG and here I am at only twenty some lbs off. Why oh why do I do that to myself. I could have had so much more off had I stayed with protocol!I had 20lbs off after the first round and here I am giong on rnd 4
But all I can do is try harder this time.

As for high fat things I reall don't know. I like cream cheese and peanut butter, Heavy whipping cream in my coffee.Which I use that everyday. I am going to do tea this next round if it kills me.

I am a meat eater... love beef and chicken and pork and turkey. Sausage & eggs would be good

I am just so very proud of you Angela. I have missed you too
I'd love the cream cheese muffin recipe if you have it.

Now I call that success!! I hope one day I can joke about needing to load my pockets for a weigh-in. I just might make that my new goal

Well, so much for the potato hack starting Sunday. I'm trying again tomorrow, have my potatoes all ready now. I had bacon & eggs in the morning yesterday and then potatoes (5 hrs later) for the evening, fully expecting to do more potatoes today. Woke up this a.m. and just.wasn't.feeling.it. So had bacon & eggs again, then bacon & eggs for lunch, then bacon & eggs for dinner, and bacon & eggs for snack before bed. NO KIDDING. Calories on this UD 1663 & 70% fat. NOW I feel ready to do a potato day tomorrow and Wednesday and we'll see about Thursday. I haven't weighed since the 5th. I had a completely unrestrained eating days on the 4th/5th, chocolate, sugar, wine (LOTS) and leftover GF (but not SF) goodies. I do believe it's all out of my system now! LOL

I will weigh when I'm done with my potato days. Like Shelby, I feel like doing those 3-4 days before Christmas helped with cravings. BUT between Christmas and New Year's and shortly after I completely lost it. Probably due to alcohol and the new "freedom" to eat potatoes LOL. Like half a bag of chips in a setting. UGH. Today I just felt like with all the sugary junk I had eaten I really needed protein and so that's what sounded good so that's what I ate. Now I feel the need to hydrate and go to bed. (((HUGS))) all around!

As far as TOPS...I am up for yearly awards in April. Possibly even Queen of Texas, and (maybe, but doubt it) internationally. I had to submit a goal weight by the end of this year & be at it. To be eligible...I must stay w/i 10 lbs. of it...168 lowest (leeway of 7), and 178 highest (leeway of 3). I was not sure what my goal should be...I fretted a lot about it, and finally came to 175, mainly because some areas are too thin, and of course some are not...but to be expected...I once weighed 411 lbs. We are not able to raise or lower that goal once it is submitted, or else we forfeit the possibility of winning at the convention in April. I have chosen to get to my lowest so that I have that cushion...and I would like to start incorporating some heavy exercising, toning, Zumba, etc., and I figure I will have some bounce-up. I cannot run the risk of being around 175, and so close to 178...we have 2 weeks to get it back off...but still...it frightens me if life throws me a curve ball, and I couldn't maintain for a few weeks. I've had that happen when by 31 y.o. brother, 6 years ago, passed away unexpectedly from brain surgery complications to remove a Stage 4 brain tumor...all happening w/i 8 days from 1st diagnosis to his death...our whole family was devastated to say the least..praying that doesn't ever happen...sorry...got off track on that one.

So anyway, I have to stay 167-178 no matter what, then in April I may see where my body takes me

Oh C'marie...you are too funny!!!

Honestly...I don't even feel worthy. I am dreading having to do the stage-thing in front of probably a few 1000 people. I've done it for dvision awards before, but not as queen...as I wasn't to goal yet. I did sacrifice a bit to reach goal...but I feel ashamed that I've HAD to lose that much only b'cuz I was so grossly overweight and should not have allowed myself to get there...411 the 1st time, lost to the 180's...then re-gained to 291 for a SECOND TIME...grrr!

Now I'm dealing with everyone telling me I'm too thin...come on...170 is still technically overweight. But what is kinda funny...is that the heavier people are more prone to tell me that..thinner people say you look great....and leave it at that.

@Angela, I know what you mean. I feel pretty embarrassed that I had 100 + pounds to lose also! It kinda takes the fun out of saying how much you lost LOL.... cuz why did I get there in the first place!? Well, we are all different, and I can say with certainty that some of that was my eating, but most of it was hormonal. I can thank Dr. S. for figuring that part out for me and for coming up with hcg protocol. It truly is a lifesaver.
