I'm P3 day day 5. My ldw was 129.4. This morning I'm at 129.2. So I guess I'm doing "ok". This round was so tough with all of the up and down weigh ins and the slow losses the last two or three weeks. I just hope I can maintain it. I feel like I am going to balloon up eve though I am following the P3 eating rules. I still want to be down 10 more pounds but I was never going to get there in this round so had to do into P3 for my sanity.

OMG!! We could be twins. This round has been uber tough on me I know exactly how you feel. I have lost in total 11 pounds and I have done this for 21 days. I normally lose 15 in a round. I am disappointed, but not going to give up. With my schedule I am going to continue this round til NEXT weekend. Next Saturday is my last birthday for a while (thank God ) and then I feel I can breathe a bit and relax enough for P3. Good luck to you. You are in P3 and that is a fabulous time you get to eat.....AND you are at LDW. That is fantastic

Hi all~

TY everyone for all the congrats! I am feeling great! I am slowly accepting myself.

I am back down to below 170 (168.8)...funny thing is...l haven't been to the gym since Monday Seems like I do better w/o the gym...and I love how I feel when I'm working out.

I have a busy weekend...fixin' to head out the door...gonna buy a new car (not new, something USED & more gas-economical!), but next week I get to slow down. SPRING BREAK!!!

Oh yeah...I found my white dress. I do not like how I look in it, but it will work. I think it really accentuates my hips & thighs way too much...and it's WHITE

Talk to you soon!

I had a tough last weekend with a lot of activity and freezing my rear off for 6 hours one day, so I paused weight loss - gain two, lost it the next day and took 4 days before starting losing again. Working and learning the WLA method with HCG2 the last 2 days, and for me it seems to be working. Eating on strict protocol when hungry twice a day and stopping when full. I having had the munchies at night for the last two days, which is a first.

I'm not sure where I'm going after this. Another round or JUDD. I have enough drops for about 30 days if I go that route. But I know I cannot live with this weight.

Down another 0.7 lbs following my 2nd day of Elimination... On to P3 !! I have roast TexMex chicken breast (with skin ON and Carbquik and butter) planned for dinner but not sure what I'll have before that. I got up late and not hungry yet. I plan on taking it easy these first few days of P3 and working my calories up slowly.

Hello Friends! I know it's been awhile, but I've been so busy at work, and honestly playing on face book instead looking for recipes.

Julie, you and Shelby look like two models! Awesome picture! I'm hoping to meet some friends in real life too!

Well, I've tried three things since January and I've lost about 5-6 pounds, bringing me back to my LIW (154.0 this morning). I've dipped below several times, getting as low as 149.0 but I haven't been able to maintain it. I guess I will going back to hcg, but I think I will wait until Easter. I may load then. OR I may wait until summer. IDK, but I want to be really ready.

I'm not unhappy with how I look and feel, nor do I think I'm completely there either. I think maintenance is the most important thing right now.

You ladies are doing an amazing job (and any lurking gentlemen) and I'm cheering you on! Woot! Woot!

I think it hasn't stayed off for this very reason--my wacky hormones are not getting fixed on their own like I had hoped. We will see next week if it works or not LOL.

I lost more weight today, so P2 is on for now!!! I am gung ho til the next slow down. Down 0.4 lbs because I have added in Natural Calm. So I will supplement with that for a while--my cramps are coming back and I think I need it. Oh, yeah Julie--this round has been the hardest. I also wanted 15 lbs down. Not gonna make it. I still have 15 lbs til goal. I will need another round to get there.

As I said in the other thread---pics please of your visit with Shelby. I would love to see you 2.
So happy and hopeful for you!! This sounds like a good missing piece to your puzzle!! It's tempting me to be tested or treated too. There is a good DR nearby, I even know him, but it's all cash, whcih is really rough. Sigh. We'll see. Hope it goes well for you!!

Thanks for posting the pic. I hadn't synched my phone yet w. my laptop.
You're too kind! You are a tall lady, but I'll overlook that and like you anyway You're so tall and skinny, but so nice and fit looking!! So happy to see you in person and all the reward for your hard work! Very inspiring! That's funny, I've "known" you for years and when you were talking about things in your past (like visiting your brother and eating his cooking) I remembered reading that on the board. Kinda' funny, like an old friend you hadn't seen in a while. Hope to see you again in July!

Don't disappear from this thread, I'd miss you! Angela, congrats and you look wonderful and have worked so hard, enjoy it! Dawn, I'm glad you are getting help for your hormones and will be rejoicing with you soon! Pandora, your attitude inspires me. Cocoa and Manders, nice to see you! Anyone else I missed, sorry, I'm reading but not replying so much.

One quick personal - I'm still on hcg rx after my interrupt. I dunno how long I'm going to go. I'm doing it pretty rogue this time, adding protein, a few more choices in protein, a couple veggies they allow on WLA, rice crackers and sometimes popcorn instead of melba (I don't eat wheat at all anymore) and taking it up to 600 calories, sometimes a bit more-a few times even close to 800. I am reshaping and I am trying to get back down to my lowest weight. I can tell you I'm smaller than I was at this weight before, I'd still like to lose a few more. I dunno if I'll make it, but I'm going long because I'm in the zone and with the modifications I've made I can do it. This won't be my last round, and maybe I'll do the last one POP - maybe not. I will do JUDDD in between and see how I feel

Love to all of you.
Thanks! A long round? You must be in the zone!! WTG!!

What's elimination? That's a new term to me. Is it just the VLCDs w.o. hcg? You're doing great. I know you'll do well in P3/P4!!

I totally agree, Shelby could totally be a model!! She's pretty and has a great presence about her . Thanks for the compliment. I, like you, didn't want to resort to another round. I'd take slow weight loss w. LC, but alas, I don't lose anymore that way. Hopefully you can enjoy your maintenance for a bit and maybe even whittle some more weight back off. A break is a good thing!

Angela-I bet you look pretty amazing in your white dress. Enjoy your spring break!!

I'm on VLCD2. I'm a bit hungry, but the worst part was the bad headache I just went through. It's better now, but hopefully it's just a detox thing. I sure do hate the VLCDs!! If I do this round right and really stick the stabilization and maintenance phases, I'm hopeful I'll be able to maintain. Hopefully the added and kept exercise will help. We'll see. Too soon to look forward to maintenance, gotta' get through 3 more weeks .

I am on day 3/4 depending on how you count the days lol. Trying to keep my calories up in the maintaining range and all the water at the same time is challenging after spending almost 4 weeks eating minimally and never feeling full. Now I feel full ALL THE TIME! :P And surprisingly, I don't enjoy it anymore.

March 6, 2013 184.60 Vlcd 24 Day 1 no drops
March 7, 2013 184.80 Vlcd 25 Day 2 no drops
March 8, 2013 185.60 Vlcd 26 Day 3 – about 1000 cals
March 9, 2013 185.40 P3 Day 1 ramping up to 1800 cals to stabilize.
March 10, 2013 184.80 P3 Day 2 1577 cals - didn't try to max out today
March 11, 2013 185.00 P3 day 3 1809 cals - to full from supper, blah

Shrinking, I had a load day yesterday, but I'm not loading! It was a binge ~ uggghhhh! Hope you're doing okay!

Avy, way to rock those scales!

Hope the rest of you are doing okay, me not so much! 158.0 Wayyyyyyy out of my window. I at least have a plan:

B: coffee with half and half (2 Tbsp)
3 eggs scrambled in coconut oil

L: tuna made with mayo and boiled egg with pork rinds

D: Swai Fish Fromage (from Linda Genaw's Tilapia Fromage recipe)
with sauteed cabbage

Hopefully, by making a plan, prepping, etc. I will be ready for the day.

Here's hoping the whoosh fairy visits you all and sprinkles lots of WL dust!

Hanging in there after my 16.6 lb gain from 2 1/2 of loading ! I went from 130 lbs on Fri to 146.6 on Monday morning ! I basically drank (beer & some mixed drinks, had pizza, KFC, desserts, lots of fat, some bread, cheese, GY & some food at my son's carnival). Well down 3 lbs after the first day of P2 143.6 so that's encouraging but darn can I gain or what

Not happy at all that my size 6 pants are tight but hoping to get this water/inflammation weight off the first week & then get to some serious losing. Though I planned on a 21 day round may need to extend that a few days since I want to get to 120 & today that seems so far away

That's what I get for not weighing in for 2 days. I really thought tops 10 lbs but damn !!

I know what you mean about loading without loading. I was stuck with my options being cereal(wheat allergy), toast(wheat allergy) or rice and beans during one day of my time away. I knew there were chocolate peanut butter cups in the fridge so I figured if all that was offered was carbs, I'd have carbs that I'd really enjoy. And boy did I enjoy them by the handful

Yep, that's what some groups call the 2-3 VLCD days without HCG... Elimination

Well, not sure about this Grissini experiment. I still don't have my calories up to where they should be and I had cheese (maybe 1/4 cup) with dinner and the 2 experimental Grissini during the day. My food looked like this: 1175 calories, 94 grams of protein, 50% fat and 51 net carbs including the 2 Grissini. I was up 1.0 lbs today, 0.5 over LDW. I am undecided what to do today since there are so many variables: the Grissini, the cheese, insufficient calories...

I will likely have leftover Mexican Chicken for lunch today, so that means cheese again. Dinner will be flank steak (because we like it, no other reason). Not sure yet re veggies. Hmmm maybe I'll throw in a mug cake today to try to get the calories up. I think I'll plan the day out in ****** FIRST .... and consider not doing the Grissini, to eliminate at least one of the variables and see what happens.

Tomorrow is an early in-office day for me where I weigh in at about 6 a.m., which usually means a small gain, so again, it may be inconclusive.

Just a real quick run-by again....

I hit my lowest weight this morning! Woo Hoo! I'm back to my before-hitting-menohell-gain and headed down to completely new territory. I'll probably go another week, even if I only lose another pound or so. I just want to STICK this LIW. I'll JUDDD P3-style for a couple weeks, if that, and then jump back on and continue. I know it's rogue, but I don't care at this point.

Doing ok with the stabilizing, not swinging too far in any one direction. I need to eat more earlier in the day I think, to bump those calories up, just... don't want to get into that habit since that's not the way I live my life! Setting myself up to get comfortable eating 1900 cals a day when I'm still needing to lose 50 lbs seems counter productive.

March 5, 2013 184.60 Vlcd 23 - LDW

It's BECAUSE you still need to lose that you should try to get as high as you can. You are "resetting" your body's food needs/comfort level. If you train your body to think that it needs ~2000 calories per day to maintain your current weight, when you drop really low again on the vlcd's, your body will pull the deficit from your fat stores.

So for example, if your body thinks you need 2000 calories per day, on the vlcd's your body will pull 1500 calories of fat from your stores to burn.

2000 - 500 = 1500 from fat

If it only thinks you need 1500 calories per day, it will only pull 1000 calories.

1500 - 500 = 1000 from fat

It's kind of counterintuitive but weirdly it's true...

It's still only 10 pm for me and no Grissini yet. Mostly because I feel like crap with the cold from hell, all sniffly and achy. And I *have* to go to the office tomorrow which means getting up at the crack of dawn and weighing at 6 a.m.

I ended up defrosting 2 portions of P2 beef stew I had frozen and added more water and a couple of small tomatoes to it = soup!! I ended up eating that in 2 portions during the day.

Then for dinner, flank steak broiled with chipotle mustard and lemon, asparagus and hollandaise. I also had an orange earlier that was soooo good. So beef 3 times in one day. I blame not feeling well for that

I'll have some strawberries in a bit, with 1 fl oz of hwc on them and that will be my day. I'll come in around 1500 calories with the coffees and mug cake I had in the morning. 111 protein grams, 53% fat and 51 net carbs, total.

I may have one Grissini with my strawberries... still undecided. I'll let you know what the scale says in the morning, but it will be way early for me so still inconclusive.

I'm so glad we have you Shelby!

Good morning. Oh. My. Goodness, I thought I was the only that gained that kind of weight that fast. You'll lose it Pandora, but it is a pain in the boo-ta-ta!

157.5 this morning, so back on the losing track. 2 pounds out of my window. I have a yogurt/berry correction day planned. Let's see how my day goes. I haven't done a true correction day in a long time. HOPE HOPE HOPE I can stick to it.

YIPPEE DOODLES C'Marie, oh. my. wow! You DID IT! HUGS HUGS HUGS!

A very good morning today for me R5P2D3 & down -7.2 lbs to 136.4
I know I can gain it fast but it felt like it wasn't going to come off fast this time. So today it was a very nice morning for me !! I did feel it literally yesterday. My ring finger became less swollen, my pants looser, my belly deflating, going to the bathroom constantly. All that inflammation going down down..

I think the beer, pizza, sugary desserts were the big culprit which is something I've stayed away from.

So now keeping on until I get to goal & focusing on one day at a time. If I can get there in 21 days great if it takes a few extra ok. But definitely no more than 25 days

Down 0.4 lbs at 6 a.m. this morning, only 0.1 over LDW. I had roughly 1500 calories yesterday, 112 protein grams, 53% fat and 55 net carbs, which did include 1 Grissini and 1 perfectly luscious orange. So there you go... I'll keep going with the experiment and get those calories higher.

I'm following your experiment I learned from my last round & stabilizing I really really enjoy my healthy carbs & do not want to be low carb to maintain. Last P3 I stayed relatively low carb but this one I would like to stick to the 2 fruit & the lots of veggies for lunch/dinner & not focus on the carb percentage.

But I am enjoying my grissini/wasa cracker so much in P2 this round & I did have the low carb versions of breads/bagels in P4 & maintained so I think your experiment will work out !

I know it's rogue, but I don't care at this point.

love the attitude.

My last round, I did P3 pretty much by the book in that I omitted ALL starches including melba/Grissini and did not have oranges, as I was told they were too high in sugar. But, what can I say, I'm a bit of a rebel and never really believed that Dr Simeons would have intended people to give up stuff they were allowed on P2. I believe he meant no "additional" starch or sugar... So that's why I'm experimenting this round.

In P4 the last time, I added a fair amount of starch back, mostly low carb tortillas and bread, but did venture into some others as well (rice, na'an, store-bought full sugar cheesecake "pops" and even some sweets from the dessert table at the Christmas buffet we went to). By the end of the 6 weeks of P3 and P4, I was down 3 lbs from LDW, while eating about 2000 calories a day, fairly high fat.

This time, by my BMR calculations, I figure I will have to lower the calories to about 1800, and I'm taking it more slowly to get there... So we shall see

You know I always wondered about that. Why can we have oranges, grissini etc in P2 but they are no no's in P3. For me how can I add in P4 so called more good carbs/starches if I haven't been able to add back high sugar fruits or the occasional starch ? I added low carb breads on week 3 of P4 and never did get a chance to add back pears, melons etc. I'm hoping if I don't chicken out that is to be a little more experimental this round when I get to P3/P4. We'll see though

I did add back pears and cantaloupe and "golden melon" last time. I was surprised at the nutrient count for pears, I must say. I even made a smoothie from cantaloupe that was pretty good.

I'm still hanging in there. P3 day 10 and so far right around my ldw. Haven't gone over +.4 yet. I'm always afraid to get on the scale though. Haven't added alot of new foods. hmm. mostly almond milk and cream along with different no starch veggies and different meats. I will have to try something new. I hope to be able to maintain without any correction days. I think if it comes to needing a correction day I will go into JUDD.

Even though I am maintaining I feel fatter. Does that make sense?
