Berta, why would you have to go below 414, let alone 500? Many don't, and I never did. In fact, I was usually around 600-650. It didn't matter if I was in the 20% range - I still lost.

BUT... if you're comfortable on your DD's, then definitely stay there. If you're hungry, know you have a bit of wiggle room.

I think you'll do great!

Well my numbers were 417 for DD on the calculator. But I just tried again and it did keep going back to the kg or whatever instead of lbs. when I would click on calculate?? I think I will do the 500 cal tomorrow. But I thought someone said I would have to go lower later to loose???I would rather just do it now and be use to it as to have to drop the number later??

I always looked at it like this - I might lose a tad faster at 400 calories - but if I couldn't stay on the diet - it didn't matter anyway. It takes a while getting used to thinking about weight loss a different way after HCG.

I agree with Tricia.... Some DD I could NOT do 500 calories, I was hungry - so I did 600. When I was on vacation, I did 800-1000 on DD and still maintained just fine (until I switched rotations - oops).

Check your UD calories also, just in case. Buttah's right, that calculator is wonky as heck, it kept changing to kg. I finally just made myself a little index card that showed my UD calories (which don't change - mine are 1784) and then WL mode range showing each percent, 20, 25, 30, 35 - and then WL or maintenance 40, 45 - and then MT only 50, 55, and 60 percent. THEN I took a picture of that index card and so I'd have all those on me at any given time. If I was having an exceedingly hungry day, but wanted to stay in WL mode, I knew I could go up to 624. If I wanted even a little more I could go up to 803. If I just wanted to stay right where I was, I could go up to 1070.

Not to say you shouldn't be serious with being at 20% and being in WL mode - BUT it's better to be aware of all your options so you don't go into the mindset of "well, I cheated, so I might as well make this another UD" but instead you can see that you didn't do so bad and to keep calm and carry on

those are my nickel's worth of free advice.

OH, I am so happy to report that I am going to hop right into JUDDD too! I am starting today with an UD since I am meeting my DH for lunch and need Friday and Sun to be UDs. That is if my mom actually makes it this weekend LOL. So this works out for me!! I am sooo happy to have finally settled on something. I am so not into diet mode right now, but after not being on anything for the last week I NEED to do something. So the time is right. I did not weigh this morning (haven't for a while now) so will have to go by tomorrow's weigh in. But at least I can get an idea if it will work for me this time. We'll see how it goes!!!

I hope it works out well for you!! Enjoy your visdit w/ your mom (assuming she makes it!).

I've decided to stop JUDDDing. I'm up 3lbs in 2 weeks and am unhappy with it. For me, the DDs are torture and since I'm not losing, in fact gaining, I've decided to stop. It really works well for so many!! I had hoped it would work for me too. So, I'm back to Atkins. I like it, it's easy for me, and I feel good eating LC. Good workout yesterday and I feel good overall. The scale was up too high, but starting to come down already this morning . I am just going to focus on making healthy balanced choices and exercising regularly for now. If I can't get back into the 140's eventually (2 months?) then I'll revisit another hcg round. For now, I'm going to eat well, exercise well and live life!!

Keep fighting ladies!! We got this!!

Totally agree with all of the above. I'm not sure who said that you eventually have to go down in DD calories, to keep losing. That sounds to me like one person's experience (perhaps someone close to goal?)! The calculator has other options besides 20% - most of us still lose at 25%, 30%, etc, as long as we don't go nuts on UD's. But again, if you're comfortable at 414 calories and find it manageable (no way I would!), and it's working, by all means, continue with that. I know Kissa is almost always that low on DD's (she lost a bunch and has maintained forever on JUDDD). Lots of good advice in the JUDDD threads!

I think the calculator may "rest" to kilos, and it sounds like your numbers are correct, so if you've double-checked, I wouldn't worry about that. But that doesn't mean you have to do DD's at 20%. 500 is kind of the standard bearer, and some of us do a bit more. That's all we're trying to say.

Hi Ladies,

I want to get back on the wagon, I've been off for way too long and I'm going nuts with not being able to stop my vicious cycle of eating carbs and sugar. I was following Biz' holiday recovery but even that isn't working for me now. I cannot fit into but 2 or 3 outfits and that is a crisis. I have some hcg for injections, but I need to get the bacteriostatic water for it and I'm scared to even try cause I feel like such a failure right now. I could really use your support and encouragement. Thanks--You ladies have always been amazing to me.

@Adeline, glad to see you back, and taking charge. Life gets pushy and sometimes we have to just push back!

@Julie, Jeanette, I combined JUDDD with fairly LC (most of the time LOL) and found that worked pretty well for me. I guess we'll see after this hcg round is over. I may have to do what rockstar Jeanette did and do Atkins induction with JUDDD

ME: I'm down a bit more, total now is something like 8 pounds not counting the load weight, so I'm almost into the numbers I like. Wore my super-skinny jeans yesterday and felt fabulous in them. Amazing how much 10 pounds (2 pounds load) makes a difference in how I feel about myself. I am hoping to go another 6-8 down, we'll see!

(((HUGS))) to all of you!

Hey There girlfriend
Been wondering about you!!!!So happy to see you again

I have stopped RXHCG and have went to JUDDDD it is slower losing but I can have anything I want to eat and so far so much more satisfied Don't like counting calories but Spark People does that for me when I put down what I've eaten.

I too have a back up of RXHCG good until 2015 enough for 4 or 5 more roundsI too just wasn't staying with it.But knew I couldn't just give up, so I switched over. This is only my 2nd day but down 1.2 lbs. I had at one point lost 40 lbs with RXHCG then holidays came I went nuts gaind 16 or more back so as you can see from my ticker now I only have 27.6 off.

Anyway happy you are back.

Aw, Adeline, I'm so sorry for your struggles.

I have to say, in my case there just came a point in my life where I was truly ready to adopt new permanent habits (although isn't that the definition of a habit?), finally. Losing is easier than maintaining, in a way, because we have a "plan." It's without a plan and/or with life's trials and tribulations that we seem to slip back into old bad habits. I think I finally got to the point where I was ready to attack my bad mindset during such "trials and tribulations." While finding a gazillion substitutes for things that use to drag me back down has helped a ton, I really do believe that when we're ready... we're just ready. And not just ready to lose and keep it off during the easy days, but ready to learn to keep it off during the crises, vacations, parties, break-ups, kid issues, moving, etc. That's the rub, ain't it?

You will reach that point! And when you do, you'll know it. And most important... I don't think we even reach it until we've failed enough times to learn every single lesson we need to learn.

I hope that doesn't' sound all preachy. Especially because I haven't kept this weight off for very long. But sure as hell plan to. Christmas dinners and trips and emotional upheavals in life have already come and gone without issues, so I'm in for the long haul.

I believe you Buttah! You will maintain. It's truly a mindset and once you know where your at and what you need to do, that's when you succeed. I've hated being fat almost my whole married life but my head needed to be clear to give focus to staying on plan. The scariest thing about weight-loss is maintaining. I've spent much time researching the perfect way for myself to maintain my weight-loss. My mind is ready for me to succeed too

KUTGW and keep that great advice coming!

PI, PI, PI (chant). If I do another round, I'd do the PI. The break would be a nice chance to refuel mind and body.

Aw heck, I'm stuck
I haven't moved down the scale more than another pound since I last checked in here. I have 5 more VLCdays to go (2/15) with dosing for my minimum round. I guess I'll decide what to do when I get there. I will go right to JUDDD for P3 regardless of whether I count it as an interrupt or do a real break. I have to admit I have diet fatigue already, which surprises me.

How's everyone else?

Hi all

I know, I know....been forever!!! Almost 2 weeks since checking in. It seems like it has been a whirlwind around here. Lots going on...between house projects (i.e. new fencing, grass roto-tilled/re-sodding, painting, etc.), both kiddos have science projects due Thursday...which are still not done...(they use the computer all the time for this), and juggling preschool and the gym...geeesh

I keep up with everyone's post via my cell phone at night after I'm finally laying down for bed. It's hard to post individually that way, and I tell myself, I will post tomorrow, the next tomorrow, and the next tomorrow...lol. I get so busy...it doesn't happen.

I am doing well...I am right at 170.0 this morning. I fluctuate 168-172...and most days I end up right at the 170 mark...seems that is my setpoint A very vigorous gym routine had me up about 4 lbs. Z(up to 174...1 lb. below goal/LDW)...but it came back off after a week or so. Definitely muscle gain going on. But I am loving the results of 2 Body Pump classes and 3 Zumba classes per week, plus some elliptical & treadmill thrown in there. My thunder thighs & hips have shrunk so much. I am losing the love handles as well. My hangy-belly is definitely shrinking, too. It's deflating...so it squishes flat with tight clothing...I know...TMI My abs are fantastic...I am FLAT...amazing, I say!!!!! Never seen that on me before. I will try to get some pics posted soon. There is such a remarkable difference. Unfortunately, my clothes (mainly bottoms) are starting to hang on me. No more 14's...12's aren't really tight enough to suck it all in, and 10's are tight, but really look best in holding me in & looking slimmer. Almost everything I have is 12 & 14's...I need to do some Thrift store shopping one of these days.

I have been mainly LCing, with some JUDDD thrown in the mix if I'm up on the scale, then back to LC once I'm 168ish (since that is my absolute lowest!). The trainer at the gym felt that I needed to have more fuel in my body than the DD's provide (I told her 500 cals...I actually go to 200-300 cals on DD's) especially w/ the classes I'm taking...she thinks the LC every day is better...in a way she is right, so I have been eating very clean LC, except a choc. MIM every few days...the rest is protein, veggies, cheese, & PB I have to say: I LOVE LC (& LC JUDDD!)!!!! And after hHCG for so long...I am in heaven

It is great to see all of you guys doing well. Whatever road you're on right now...LC, JUDDD, P2, P3/P4, exercising, or just maintaining...keep it up! Just the fact that you're all here for accountibility...is SUCCESS!!!

I hope to be back on here by the weekend!!! I miss all you guys!

KEEP ON TRUCKIN'!!!!

I hit 174.7!!

I am sort of doing everyday's a correction day type eating. I know we don't do CD on P2, but what I'm actually doing is having only fruit and veggies for lunch then double protein and veggies for supper. I'm getting all my calories in yet somehow I see losses everyday when I eat this way. It's frustrating to figure out my body with less than a week left on this round. I guess the next round will be so much easier.

ANGELA
About time you got back with us!!!Miss you.

I am now JUDDDing. Tomorrow is my first weigh in.I am hoping and praying for at least a 2 lb loss. I really like eating this way and the DD don't bother me at all. It's those UD that get me to going! But love them

I am having a fixed routine as I have to have Sun & Fri as UD. I do Thursdays as a in between day like the book says we can do. I really love the no guilt feeling whenI eat... Cause I can't cheat ...because nothing is off limits!I am trting to eat normal portions though!

You have done so amazingly well I sure hope I can get down that low.I am using an online tracker to track my calories and it says for me to loose 2 lbs a week I need to eat 1200 -1500 cal a day.And at 2lbs a week I should be at my goal by Dec of this year. But I am only doing te 500 every other day.My UD is 2077 But I don't go that high. Now I did yesterday I went over 12 cal But was just wanting to eat??? Noramlly I don't do that.

Well my friend I hope you will check in on JUDDDD sometime as that is where I am mostly now!I just came here today to see how everyone was.I miss them too!Keep truckin

Hi Berta!

Yes, I saw you and Jeanette and Dawn talking on the JUDDD newbie thread. I figured that's where you went so I went looking for you.

Me - well, I had a major blood sugar crash this morning. Really UNWELL feeling, shaky, sweaty, heart-pounding, headache, nearly throwing up kinda sick. I think I'm done with this round. I ended up eating over half my allotment of calories just to get over that. I have to dose until Friday (minimum 23 days) but I believe I am raising my calories, eat to hunger, and calling it quits as far as weightloss goes. I guess I will consider this a re-shaping round. Apparently my body was NOT ready to lose even though I wanted to. I am down 9 pounds pre-load, and from last round's LIW, I am down 3-4 is all, because I started this round a few pounds out of my window. I wanted to go another 5 at least. Oh well. I do notice that in my "skinny jeans" I am fitting in them way better than when I was at this weight before. Not sure what the problem was, maybe the adrenal issues? It was very frustrating. With doing 8 rounds total so far you'd think I would have experienced everything you *could* experience. I guess not.

I'm going back to JUDDD for awhile, protein-up and fat-up and see where I end in 6 weeks and see if I want to do another round or not for now.

Wow!! kind of scary. Glad you knew what to do. I guess if you fit your skinny jeans you must look good! Better off calling this one done.

Now that I know last drop day is Wednesday I'm contemplating tomorrow. If I'm down tomorrow I'll give it one more day, if not I might stop a day early. It's all up to that darn scale!!!
